Chapter 18, (in progress):
Last preparations: day 1
Aryanagar's palace: Kings meeting chamber.
The old man looks again at the peacefully sitted king, as he wasnt referring to something as important as his kingdom or lineage.
"Maharaj, hum apse baat karrahe hei." He insists, not wanting to leave without having made some difference in the kings mind.
"Beera baba..." Aryavardhan exclaims relaxed. "Aur hum apse kerahe hei, ki hum yeh sub cheezein nahin maante. Jo hone wala hei, wohi hoga, jab uska waqt ayega, tab dekhenge."
The experienced counsellour starts to feel annoyed by the kings cassual attitude. "Maharaj Aryavardhan!" adresses in a loud thone. "Kahin saalon se iddhar, yeh sub cheezein pur ghor vishvaas aur addhar hei, ap chahe toh na maane, pur apke pitaji, aur apke dadashree maante the, aur sirf aur sirf unke liye se, abhi tak mein iss kaksha mein hoon. Isliye acha hoga, ki aap bhi, dhyan lagaye. Nahin toh ab, mujhe agya dijiye."
The king looks at his aknoweledged eyes, he was there from several years, serving his father, and probably he had met his grand-father too. Finally, he decides to give him an opportunity. "Acha, kahiye app jo kehna hei, samassiya kiya hei"
Beera replies without wasting any time "Theek hei, mein saaf saaf kahoonga, shramikon apki samassiya hei."
Not understanding him completely, Aryavardhan asks. "Shramik? Pur kyon?. Humme samaj mein nahin aaraha hei." He starts to debate. "Saalon se toh shramik aur aryavrat shanti se rehrahe hei. Hum unki raksha karte hei aur woh humare liye kaam. Unko dhan aur khana sab hei. Woh toh, humari janta hei."
Having been advised time before about the same matter, a confused concern was reflected on Aryavardhans voice.
Aware of it, Beera smirks. "Maharaj, hum jaante hei." And louds his voice again to declare. "Pur iss baar, hum dono kul ki chatti dekh kar, poori avashyakta seh kehsakte hei ki jald, Aryanagar mein kuch gadbad hone wali hei, aur sabse jyada apke santan par ehsaas hoga. Isliye, mein toh kehta hoon, ki chotti si sandeha pur, shramikon ko dand dehna chahiye, taki woh humari od ankh uthake bhi na dekhe."
The releived feelings of the king after hearing spirtitual based arguments turn to indignation at the suggestion. "Kiya.. Nahin. Hum aissey nahin kar sakte hei"
Beera keeps insisting. "Pur Maharaj, apko aissa hi karna chahiye. Pehle, humara Aryanagar kitna saaf aur sunder tha, sab apni apni jagayo par... Aaj kal toh shramik aur aryavrat, aryavrat aur shramik sab ek jaise lagne lage hei.. humare nagar ko, woh shramik ne kitna buda hal karke rakha hei ki..."
"Bass!" Aryavardhan stands up fed up, imposing finally his authority in the chamber. "Bass Beera baba. Ab hum aur kuch nahin sun sakte hei. Jo horaha hei, theek hi horaha hei, aur iddhar kisi badlaw ki zaroorat nahin. Isliye agghar ap sirf iss baat ke liye aaye the, toh ab ap, ja sakte hei."
In a brief second, Beera turns and leaves the room furiously, dissapointed at the current policy, in his home town, Aryanagar.
Outside the meeting chamber.
Dharam had just come some minutes before, being able to listen only to the last couple of arguments of both men.
He follows with his sight to the old man walking by his side towards the entry.
Worried and anxious, Dharam is about to enter when
"Dharam.." someone calls him.
It was his chirpy, charming young brother, standing beside him with serious expression.
"Kiya karrahe ho iddhar" exclaims loudly.
"Mein.." Dharam looks towards the door, "Hum pitashri se baat karne jaarahe the."
"Kiya!" trying to exaggerate his surprise, Veer says "Dharam humme itni saari tayari karni hei aur tum bhet kar baatein karne ki soch rahe ho..."
Dharam answers him calmly. "Pur Veer, yatra tak abhi toh kuch din hei, aur saari tayaria poori hone wali hi hein."
Veer faces his brother gradually raising his voice. "Dharam yatra ke liye abhi kuch waqt hei pur kiya tum rajkumari Siya ko ekash vani se bulaoge kiya!"
Totally unexpecting it, Dharam wides his eyes in panic, while he nervously whispers. "Veer... itna mat chillao...Theek hei.. Theek hei... hum likhenge pur.." Veer folds his arms smiling triumphant. "Theek hei. Toh chalo." He starts to walk.
"Pur Veer, hum baad mein bhi kar sakte hei."
Veer goes back, and pushes him firmly. "Yeh cheezein, jitna jaldi kari jaye utna acha hei."
Dharam goes to speak. "Pur.."
"Nah." interrupts "Ab tum bass tumhare kamrey tak chalo yeh sochte hue ki likhoge kiya."
Dharam turns to Veer. "Yeh hi to baat hei, pata nahin ki kya aur kaisey likhoon.."
Veer rapidly looks away. "Mujhe mat dekho." Says. "Mujhe yeh pyar.. aur yeh sab cheezein se kuch nahin lena dena."

Dharams chamber.
The prince was sitted alone in front of an empty ocre scroll, while the night developed calmly.
Not knowing what to write, he gets up and commences to walk slowly around the room, when he notices the spectacular moon through his window. He goes close to it and recalls the most singular night he had ever spent, in wich she won over him.
Suddently, just when he is about to get some inspiration for his letter, the door crashes.
"Dharam!!" Mohini shouts entering in.
Alarmed, he turns to see, an interesting scene.
"Dekho.. hum pe yakeen karo, mujhe kuch nahin pata.. ah!" exclaims Veer in pain, being holded by his arm by her. "Dheere seh Mohini." He turns to his sister recovering his normal tone. She glares at him and then proceeds near Dharam, while Veer succeeds in liberating himself from her nails.
"Mujhe tum dono seh baat karni hei." She says firmly.
"Mohini... Chod do na...." mutters the till now silent Prem, who is silenced again by her. "Tum chup raho."
She adresses to her cousins. "Dharam, tum Veer ko samjhaya kyon nahin... Tum karr kya rahe the uss waqt!" "Aur tum, tum Prem ko muqabla ladne ke liya kaisey keh sakte ho"
A bit confused, Dharam asks. "Muqabla...?" till he realizes what she was referring to and remembers it. "Acha woh, unho neh bahut achhi tarah se lada."
Veer approves it. "Woh toh poori tapassiya bahut achhi tarah se nibhaya."
She asks. "Tapassiya?"
And Veer finally answers correctly. "Pareeksha. Pareeksha!"
"Pareeksha!!!" she screams even loudly.
Prem lowers his head eye-wided meanwhile the high-pitched voice of Mohini echoes in the chamber. "Humme toh yakeen hi nahin hota!" she starts to walk furiously. "Sach mein kya aissey bhi kar sakte ho... Dharam aur tum bhi! Tumhse toh bilkul umeed nahin tha!!" Veer moves his hand towards his bothered ear.
She continues. "Yeh tum dono ko hi kya gaya hei!! Humse ek baar toh baat kar lete, agghar uske barey mein janna hota toh humse pooch lete, hum par toh bharosa kar lete.." Although attending a bit ashamed, Dharam doesnt refrain from thinking that Mohini with Veer the habit of exaggerating the things.
She continues. "Aur agghar humare barey mein nahin toh kum se kum Prem ke barey mein toh soch liya hota, uss bechare ko kaisey laga hoga.."
Amused, both Prem and Veer exclaim. "Bechare..!"
Her speech is interrupted, so Veer takes advantage. "Theek hei..." he grins wildly. "Woh bechara ho sakta hei..." "Pur agghar tumhare saat raha toh phir toh na jaane kya hojayega uska."
"Kya!" she asks.
He keeps telling. "Kyunki tum toh thodi sih bhi bechari nahin ho... na thi... na hogi..." he says like thinking deeply on it, to conclude. "Tum toh bilkul ek jungli billi ho!" and run backwards laughing.
"Veer....!!!" she screams even loudly chasing him, discomforting Prem and Dharam.
The footsteps, laughters and metallic sounds by things threw around carelessly only enclosed the never-stopping screams and calls of Mohini, making a noisy and scandolous atmosphere there.
Veer keeps running and she keeps chasing him.
Prem tries to calm her down. "Mohini, Mohini ruk jao..." unsuccesfully.
And Dharam limits to follow them with his sight, aware of that every request would go unfullfilled.
In the middle of everything, a soldier informs. "Senapati Charusena padadh rahe hei."
Dharam and Prem frown confused, and only after two soldier place theirselves at each extreme of the entrance and the army captain comes in, Veer and Mohini stop to pay attention.
"Pranam rajkumari, rajkumaro." He pauses. "Hum maharaj Aryavardhan ki taraf seh ek vinti lekar aye hei. Kripeya aap thodi aur shanti seh apna waqt gujariye, taki weh apne kam mein dhyan laga sake. Shukriya."
He bends formally and goes.
The footsteps can be heard leaving the passage as the silence dominates in the chamber at the moment.
Shocked, the young royals look at each other after some while. Seeing all of theirselfes in the same state, they trouble to hide their grins, till they cant hold it anymore, and start to giggle.
When it gets louder, Dharam tries ordering. "Shh..." without refraining from his smile.

7/1/09
Later:
"Aur phir... Kya hua baad mein?" asks Prem inquisitevely.
"Hoga kya." Veer replies lying on the bed. "Hum geedne hi wale the jab Mohini ayi.." he continues playing with his brazalet. "Shukar hei woh wahan thi warna pataa nahin kya hojata.."
"Humara din bigad jaata, aur kya." Comments Dharam annoyed at not knowing how they reached to discuss about his personal life.
Watching her cousins, Mohinis gigles come out playfully as Prem tries to hide a wild smile.
Dharam sighs. "Waisey Veer, hume pataa hei ki tumhe sub kuch bigadna aata hei, pur kabhi kabhi toh madat karne ki bhi koshish toh kiyaa karo."
"Madat." Veer sits up abruptly. "Theek hei. Batao, kissmey tumhe rajkumar Veer ki madat chahiye."
Dharam mutters. "Issmey."
"Kissmey." Veer asks.
"Yeh."
"Kya."
"Yeh."
"Kya."
"Ek patra lagta hei." Says Prem.
Veer then remembres. "Acha..! Rajkumari Siya ke liye patra."
"Haan..." says Dharam.
"Nahin." Says Veer firmly. "DekhO Dharam, humme nahin aati yeh sub bekar cheezein, aur hum iske barey mein pehle bhi baat karr chuke hei."
"Pur Veer, Issmey mujhe tumhne hi phassaya hei."
"Kya!" Mohini exclaims. "Nahin Dharam, rajkumari ko yatra par bulane ki yojna meri thi."
Veer turns to her telling. "Haan pur agghar aaj maine usko yaad nahin dilaya hota toh rajkumari Siya yatra kabhi nahin ponch sakeki."
They look away from each other with an angry face.
Dharam. "Toh iska matlab hei ki phir seh, ap dono ke karan hum iss hal mein hei."
Mohini and Veer look at each other and grin mischievous.
"Waisey, isse poochlo." Veer indicates towards the bench where Prem was sitted.
Dharam turns to him.
"Ji mein..? Pur.." mutters Prem.
"Haan haan tum." Affirms Veer.
Prem adresses to Dharam. "Mujhe lagta hei ki apko apki dill ki baat saaf saaf kehni chahiye."
Veer gets up, dramatizating. "Haan aissey. Hum apse pyaar karte hei, apke nazron pe marrte hei...."
Dharam: "Veer! Bass karo."
Prem smirks and continues. "Ap, patra mein dill aur pyar lagaiye aur hojayega."
Dharam smiles politely "Woh, aissa kuch nahin hei, humme pyar nahin, hum sirf dost hei, aur hum usko honewala yatra ka khabbar deni hei. Aur kuch nahin..."
Veer takes few steps towards Dharam. "Aur uddhar tum tumhare pyar ka usko ehsaas dilaoge.." he kneels down and puts a hand on his chest. "Tumhne uska kitna mehsoos kiyaa, dusra milan ka kitni behchaeni seh prateeksha karrahe the.."
Dharam rolls eyes. "Waisey Veer.." he looks at him and smirks. "Itna jo humare barey mein chinta karne lage ho, tumhare barey mein bhi zara batao.... Kya tum payal wali ladki seh phir se mil paye ho.."
Veer gets up abruptly with raised eyebrows, and looks away. "Kisski baat karrahe ho Dharam... kaunsa payal... kiss ladki..."
Dharam keeps teasing. "Humse kyon poochte ho, tumhe maloom hoga."
Veer starts to get newvous. "Nahin... mujhe nahin maloom... dekho Dharam, bakwas band karo... iddhar koi payal nahin hei... na koi ladki... siwa Mohini ke..."
Dharam raises his eyebrows.
"Aur woh payal, Mohini ka hi tha." Veer looks at her, helpless.
But she wasnt aware of the conversation. "Ji kya.." she asks softly.
Veer turns again to Dharam. "Dekho, choddo, mein tumhari baton mein... nahin aane wala."
Meanwhile, not understanding the topic, Prems eyes lay on Mohini, who curiously was more quiet than usual.
As soon as she catches him gazing at her, Prem raises his chin asking her, she nods in the negative as response, and he insists indicating her to come and sit beside him. After vacillating a second, she goes to the bench with him.
"Bolo... kya hua." He asks. Receiving no response, he comes out with his own conclusions. "Hum jaante hei." And starts talking in a caring way. "Dekho, shadi seh pehle har ladki aisse hi chintit hone lagti hei, pur tum pheekar mat karo, kyunki sub theek hoga." He pauses. "Akhir hum jo honge wahan par, tere liye."
She frowns. "Kya yahan rehekar tujhe bhi masti chadne lagi hei.""Shadi ke liye abhi bahut sra waqt hei, aur humme uske barey mein koi chinta nahin." She looks at him. "Akhir, tum ko hoge wahan par." She lowers her head. "Pur, hum soch rahe the ki humko yahan se nahin jana hei. Kitni yaad ayegi inn dono ki." "Humare mehel mein sub kuch bahut zyada hi shant hei.... tab inki yaad bahut sataegi."
"Pur kyon...!" Veer exclaims, making them ware of his presence suddently.
They look at him and apart some centimetres from each other.
Sitted on the floor, in front of them, Veer talks with Mohini. "Woh kaisey, satane wali toh tum ho. Aur tumhe toh pataa hei ki jab bhi chahe tum yahan aasakti ho, yeh tumhara hi ghar toh hei." He says to Prem coldly. "Aur tum bhi yahan aasakte ho." "Aur haan, tumhe shayad yaad nahin pur ghar jaane ke liye tumhe mandir ka raasta lena hei, iss liye, tyar hona, kyunki tumko mujhe thoda aur din sehna padega." "Aur abhi tak yahan kya karrahi ho? Jao, aur Dharam ko apni pehli pyaar ki patra par badhai do."
She smiles and walks towards Dharam, curious to see how he was managing.
After some time.
The night had already entered, filling with darkness the now deserted streets, and the palace had barely few movements inside.
Meanwhile, in the chamber, Dharam had finished his letter.
He stretches his hands satisfied, gving a last glance to the scroll. He starts to roll it; it was not very sophisticated, but somehow he liked what he writted, because it was done with sincere words coming from his heart.
Remembering the what the youngest prince said, Dharam goes to the bench, and smiles as he sees the prince sleeping adorably. "Kitni bhi shareef batein karley, bachcha bachcha hi rahega." He thinks.
"Pareeksha ke karan thaq gaya hoga." Dharam looks at Veer.
"Mujhe aissey kyon dekh rahe ho..." exclaims Veer. "Maine thoreina usko dabaya."
"Prem..." Mohini calls him melodiously, sitting by his side.
"Sone do usko." Says Dharam.
She comes back to her senses and gets up. "Iddhar?."
Dharam puts Prems legs on the bench, "Haan, jagana ka mann nahin karta, haina."
Mohini shrugs her shoulders approving.
She takes a blanket from the wardrobe and unfolds it on him, not missing the opportunity of delicately brush his cheek with her fingers, and whisper.
"Shub ratri..."
