Ranbir grabbed her around the waist and kissed her ferociously. Taken aback, Kanya lost all train of thought and obeyed her instinct. She slid her arms up his chest and around his neck. Ranbir?s other hand found it?s way around her waist as well. They kissed passionately. Ranbir was slowly backing her up against the wall. As she hit the back of the wall, they broke apart.

K: I hate you!!!

R: I hate you more!!!

He dove back to her lips, hungrily exploring her mouth. She closed her eyes, enjoying the ?hate? that they shared. As Ranbir?s lips traveled from her lips to her neck, the towel slid down and hit the floor.

Part 14: Mrs. Ranbir Nanda ka vaada

Kanya sighed and Ranbir, refusing to break the kiss, held her even more tightly. Kanya?s hands slid up Ranbir?s chest and he reached down and ripped the shirt away, breaking some buttons.

K: Mmm

Ranbir grabbed her around the waist and picked her up and moved towards the bed...

~A little while later~

Kanya was smiling contentedly. Ranbir was fast asleep, his face buried in Kanya?s soft hair. It was a great feeling. His bare chest right on top of her, only separated by a thin bed sheet. His strong, protecting arms tightly around her waist. His rough, stubbly cheek brushing against her cheek.

Kanya smiled and absent-mindedly lifted her arms around him and started rubbing his back. Her mind drifted off into past memories.

When he rescued her from drowning...

When he tried to kiss her...

When he smelt her mehndi...

When she hugged him in the dark...

Now, it was all worth it. This feeling felt so right, so perfect, like it was the one and only thing in the universe that was meant to be. Their love was finally complete.

Ranbir grinned into Kanya?s hair. He was awake, but was enjoying her rubbing his back too much to get up. He closed his eyes again and enjoyed her soft, warm hands against his back. He lifted his head slightly and kissed her neck.

Kanya gasped and stopped rubbing. Ranbir smiled devilishly and kissed her again.

K: Ranbir...tum jaag rahe ho?

He smirked and lifted his lips close to her ear and whispered, ?Maybe,?

She blushed and looked away.

K: Ranbir, uttho na

R: Nahi

K: Ranbir...

R: No

She blushed even harder and smiled. She shifted to look in his eyes. There she saw Ranbir, looking at her intensely and playing with her hair.

K: I love you.

It hit Ranbir like a ton of bricks. He was shocked speechless.

K: Ranbir?

R: Huh? Yeah?...

K: I love you

He gulped nervously and stopped playing with her hair. Kanya?s smile faltered and a sudden realization gripped her.

K: Ranbir? Tum bhi toh mujhse pyaar karte ho, na?

Once again, Ranbir was silent. He was ashamed, confused...

R: Kanya...I...main...nahi...I mean...

K: Save it Ranbir. Mujhe laga ki tum badal gaye ho, kal raat ke baad. Par nahi, main ghalat thi.

Ranbir stared at her sorrowfully.

K: I hate you.

Ranbir mustered up his courage and said it.

R: I don?t care! I hate you too!

Kanya laughed sarcastically.

K: Oh really? Kuch dher pehle toh mujhpe bahut pyaar aa raha tha!

Ranbir?s sudden courage was severely dented.

R: Kanya...I?m sorry... par

K: Shut up! Main kuch nahi sunna chahti! Ab agar main tumse kuch sunoongi, toh woh tab hoga jab tum mujhe apnaaoge. Main tumhe I love you bulvakar hi rahegi! Yeh vaada hai, Mrs. Ranbir Nanda ki!

With that, she kissed him hard and pulled the bed sheet around her and walked away, leaving Ranbir confused and sorry.

~Nanda Living Room~

The family is in the living room.

R: (checks watch) Yeh Kanya aur Shanaya kahaan hai? Unhe pata hai aaj press conference hai!

BigD: Oye khote! Chup! Woh ladkiyaan hai. Tayyar hone mein thodi time chahiye!

A: Big D, ladkiyaan aisi kya karti hai? Hamesha kahin jaane se pehle unhe 'tayyar' hona hai!

His question was answered as Kanya and Shanaya walked down the stairs. As everyone's face turned towards the stairs, their mouths dropped open.

S: (thinking) Main itni khoobsurat lag rahi hoon! Sab log mujhe aise ghur rahe hai!

But it wasn't her who they were staring at. It was Kanya. She was ravishing.

M: (shoves Ranbir) Jaao beta. Tumhari dulhan teri intezaar kar rahi hai!

Ranbir gulps and walks towards Kanya, who is standing, smiling serenely at the bottom of the stairs.

R: K-kanya ' tum ' main ' I mean ' woh ' tum bahut...

A: You're looking hot!

Ranbir swerved around and glared at Ayaan, who had seemed to have temporary self control. Ayaan looked down hurriedly and embarrassedly. Shanaya looked as if she was about to burst out crying. Ranbir hastily took Kanya's hand and pulled her with him.

As the family walked out, Ira and Eva caught hold of Kanya.

I: Kanya chachi, tum bahut hot lag rahi ho!

E: Yeah! Bahut khoobsurat lag rahi ho! Tumne yeh sari kahaan se kharidi?...

Ranbir's mind started to wander and he found that his eyes had drifted down to Kanya's waist, catching glimpses of her skin under the sheer sari. He stared.

R: (thinking) No! Kya kar rahe ho Ranbir? Tum toh uski jaal mein phaste ja rahe ho! Kuch karna padega.

He hurried up to her and roughly pulled her away from Ira and Eva. He hung back and waited for everyone else to pass them. Then, he bent down and whispered in Kanya's ear.

R: Look, tum jo kar rahi ho, mujhe sab pata hai aur main tumhare jaal mein bilkul nahi phasunga!

Kanya looked up at him innocently.

K: Kya matlab, Ranbir?

R: Itni innocent mat bano! Tum aur main dono jaante hai ki tum kya kar rahi ho!

Kanya tilted her head and smiled. Ranbir looked at her apprehensively. He pulled his top two buttons together.

R: A-aise kyun dekh rahi ho? Kya hai?

K: I love you

R: Whatever.

K: Jab tum gussa karte ho, tum bahut cute lagte ho

Ranbir was silent. He was confused and didn't know how to answer her.

~In the car~

Ranbir was still confused. Kanya was so unpredictable! One minute, she would be screaming at him with rage, and the next, she would be perfectly sweet.

R: Issi liye maine ladkiyon se door raha! God, they're confusing!

Kanya (who was asleep) leaned on Ranbir and her head rested on his shoulder. Ranbir looked down in surprise and saw her. He grinned in satisfaction.
