Part 12

Recap-Ranbir finally signs the divorce papers after overhearing Esha with Kanya. Ekta is smug at finally getting what she longed for money and seeing Ranbir squirm then again him being married to Kanya would be a good thing as he'd be rich so she didn't feel bad. Kanya goes back to Godbole house as a chauffer drives her back home.

Kanya felt strange being back at her house it almost seemed alien as if it wasn't her house anymore. Funny how being in a strangers house made her feel so at home. already Kanya missed little Esha she reminded her of herseld growing up and having to grow up too soon. At least now Ranbir was free of that witch Ekta god she hoped she never ended up like that but at the same time she felt she treated people badly. Well she was a changed woman. She hoped to repay the favour to Ranbir by showing him how to live life. Not to be a pushover that never got anyone far in life. Kanya wanted to see Esha grow in her own pace and not feel forced to do so.

Kanya decided to give work a miss as she wasn't up to it yet. She decided to visit her friend Pooja. Kanya wasn't the type to go pray for anyone but her friend was in intensive care. Kanya's Mom tried to stop her from going but she insisted. So Anand arranged Ranbir to go with Kanya as she listened to Ranbir. Besides Ranbir was working double shifts he deserved a little time off even is t was to be with his crazy daughter. Ranbir came round and dropped off all the office documents to Anand who thanked him.

R-SO R U all set?

K-Yes!

Ranbir lifted Kanya up in his arms as she was on crutches. She was too stubborn to be in a wheel chair so she ended up walking on them even if it caused her alot of pain. Kanya was about to bite Ranbir's head off but she reminded herself that she wasn't the over bearing Ekta and should let the guy get on with his thing. Taking her to the Mumbai royal infirmary. Kanya had picked up all the expenses for Pooja. She was like a sister to her. The chauffer drove them there and Ranbir picked Kanya up but this time he didn't carry her but let her walk on the crutches with his support.

K-Thanks Ranbir for everything i know i haven't been greatful.

R-Don't worry about it i've had worse probles than U.

K-Is everyone ok in your house?

R-Yeah they're fine but Esha's been a little too quiet.

K-Send her over to me i could do with some company. (thinking to herself I could have done with U being there too)

R-U need to concentrate on U getting better. Esha will have to get used to not having U around.

K-Why?

R-Because now she's thinking about things that can never happen and i can't discuss it.

K-What about life without U'r other half?

R-Ekta can get lost now. She's still looking for a place to live but for now Lets change the topic. U must be excited to see Pooja.

K-If i'm hones i'm more scared than anything as i blame myself for everything. I pressurized her to take the right action. But now she's fighting for her life. Bad things R always happening Tarun was an animal but she wouldn't leave him. If only i never said anything or i forced her to. God i cause everything. I could just. I regret things and that not me.

R-Kanya U could not have foreseen this. Tarun and Rajeev would have still done this maybe in later months or years to come but whatever U do don't lose faith in anything. Thats what psychos do. They hurt people at any cost. That what keeps us going. Ok. Pooja wouldn't want U to stop living.

K-U R right. I guess.

They arrive in Poojas room which had guards ouside curtosey of Kanya of course. Ranbir decided to step outside and get 2 coffees to give Kanya and Pooja some alone time to chat about what ever.

K-I am so not used to speaking to people like this let alone U poo. Usuaaly tu baat karti hain main sunthi hoon but now looks like teri stupid Soaps, serials, celebrity gossip nahin sunungi aur tuje meri boring life ki bare main baat karni paregi mijhe. I might as well take advantage. Tu kabhi yakeen nahin karegi main Kanya Godbole kya se kya bangayi.

The ice queen feeling remorse and bad for all the bad things i did, the way i treat people. Living in some poor guys house The very Ranbir Nanda jiski saat meri ladray thi ussi se hamdardi. I've seen the good side of him yaar usse help karna chahti hoo. I bet aggar woh yaha hoti toh woh baag jata. I tell U he has the best daughter ever bilkul meri jaisi my very own mini me.

Pooja tu sun rahi hain na main kya heh rahi hoon. Tjhe shayad bechaini horahi hain main yaha tujhe bore kar raho hoon. Tu utthi kyun nahin main itni buri nahin hu. I'm so alone. Kisse kya kahoon. My feelings are all over the place. If i meet that stupid actually first thing tomorrow I will get those 2 to get what they deserve. Nobody walks away hurting U.

Pooja Dekh teri haalat tu dekhti to phir darke mare nikal parthi but main tujhe kasam deti hoon un donno ko main chod ne wali nahi.

Ranbir gets back with the Coffees but Kanya doesn't realise anything. She continues to break down and just let herself go with the flow. Ranbir knew this would be a good stress buster. Kanya really needed it but it was the first time he saw a complete new side where she wasn't in control and her emotions were doing the talking.

K-Tu baat kyun nahin karti. Hasna, muskura. Say something. I just want to hear U talk. Mujhe kisi aur se nahin tujhse baat karna hain. I know tujhe dekhne keliye ek hafte tak nahin ayi lekin majhboori thi. Ekdum akeli par gayi. Ghar Main Dad mujhe nahin samajhete Mom bhi kam nahin. Harry to jane usse koi bhi nahin samajhtha. Doste sabhi ne apna rang dikha kar chale gaye par tu har waqt meri saath do even when i was wrong tu mujhe tokh thi ti. I've never felt so weak. Tune ice queen ko itni rulati hain kyun. Kisi ghair ki ghar main rehte jitni apna pan payi hain maine apni ghar main nahin payi ab wapas ghar main teri hi bare main sochti hoon.

R-Kanya come on times up lets go.

Part 13

Recap-Ranbir takes Kanya to see Pooja in the hospital. He sees an emotional side to Kanya. A very lonely woman seeking companionship and someone to love her back. He decides that maybe Esha spending more time with Kanya isn't such a bad thing.

Ranbir is at home. Thinking heavily about his life in general. He never mapped out what it was he wanted but he never though of being a single parent. Well there were plenty of single parents out there raising their children by themselves. Esha was no problem but he didn't want her to be lonely. He wanted to treat her as a person than a child. She had her own mind and deserved to express her feelings as he knew she wasn't able to in the past but things would change. So the first thing he did was have a word with her at home.

R-Esha baby tumhe Dad se kuch kehna hain kya? Kuch bi? Mujhe Akele yeh sab karna aadat nahin.

E-Dad its ok. Mom yaha ab nahin rehti toh kya? U don't need to jeapardize any of your valuable time for me. Time means money in our family.

R-Now ur Moms left time doesn't mean money. Paiso ki koi ehmiyat nahin mujhe. Tum hi mere liye sab kuch ho.

E-And U 4 me too Dad.

R-So tumhe koi shikayat nahin?

E-Where is all this insecurity coming from Dad? Mom ne kuch kaha kya?

R-No mujhe sirf yeh jaana hain main tumhe kush rak rahi hoon ya tumhe bi dukh deh rahi hoon.

E-Dad if every kid had a Dad like U they would be the richest kids ever. They would want for nothing in the world.

R-But!

E-But tumhe achi jeevan saathi chahiye aur mujhe ek dost se zyada ek maa chahiye.

R-Kya?

E-U wanted my opinion i gave it. Duniya ki pehle bachi hoongi main jo apni baap ko meri saghi maa ki saat nahin par ek doosri aurat ki saat dekhna chahti hoon. What does that tell U Dad? I've always know that U and Mom R wrong for each other. U were meant for someone else.

R-Esha! I think we need to see a psychiatrist u know for family councelling.

E-That will not solve anything Dad but create more problems that will be left unanswered.

R-So U want company. I will take U out more often to the park and make sure my nieces R there to give U company.

E-Kitna bara bhuddu ho. I want a Mom and U R avoiding the issue now. The person i want likes U alot but she feels that U will never want her as she like U has a messed up life. She fears U will never accept her in your life. As she hasn't been nice to U in the past.

R-Kiski baat kar rahe ho? Can i know who this crazy person is?

E-If i tell U. U will get mad and i don't want her to be shouted at either as she has no clue i've told U all this.

R-Batana kaun hain?

E-Pehle Dadi ko ane do baad main kuch kahungi. Risk tori kam hogi.

R-Esha zid mat karo batao.

E-She's your b.......Dadi saved by her. Dad mujhe jana hain bye.

R-Tune mujhe bataya nahin kaun hain?

E-Pehle Dadi phir tumhe i promise kyun ki U will blow your top. Bye.

Ranbir wanted to really know who it was that had won over his daughters heart. He really wanted her happy but he wasn't ready for anyone new in his life. He needed time to get over his sham of a marriage that never existed in the first place. He didn't trust in his own judgement anymore. He certainly wasn't going to rush into anything too soon. His priority was his daughter. Then his career. His family came next. Ranbir was just curious who this person was. He couldn't think of anyone from the top of his head.

Esha and Dadi Malika were having a heart to heart about Kanya. at first Malika was dead set against Kanya with Ranbir but after the week Kanya was in their house she could see the bond between Esha and Kanya was a good one and they both listened to the other. The rumours she heard about Kanya being a cold brutal woman didn't match up to the one that stayed the past week. She had good manners and respect for all her elders. She even spoke to Ranbir like he was a normal person. Malika just wanted to know if Kanya truely wanted Ranbir or was it Esha wishful thinking. Malika rang Kanya from her cell phone and had a nice chat but from the conversation she had it seemed Kanya wanted Ranbir genuinely.

Esha goes to her room where Ranbir is waiting for her wanting to know what was going on. Esha finally blurted out who it was and Ranbir thought he heard Kanya for a second until Eshas serious face was staring right back at him.

R-KANYA R U MAD!

E-No! But i know U R.

R-She's my boss. This is all crazy talk.

E-So your daughter who is a genious is crazy. Cheers.

R-Kanya is very kadus. Woh pyar kya keregi she doesn't know the meaning.

E-Dad U R the one whose making this all into a joke. Ladkiyon sirf ladkiyon ko jaante hain. Samhje. Usme karabi kya hain. She's a successful business woman with all the qualities that were missing in Mom. She's caring and loves her family to death. I get that she can be a little strict but life has thrown a lot in her life more than U will ever know. Deceit is a hard pill to swallow. From her world friends and family have only ever been at arms length. She probably doesn't know who to trust and to make matters worse she probably doesn't know if people like her for her or for her money/success. Dadi agrees with me too. Kanya would be wel suited with U. Both of U need a good person and she already has feelings for U Dad its upto U if U can allow her a place in your life.

R-It looks like U have really though about this through.

E-Its time U did the same Dad. Kanya needs stability like U. Theres no need to worry about motives as she's seen what kind of people we R and you've seen her at her worst. She's nothing like Mom. She's not money hungry. She has a heart of gold Dad. I couldn't think of a better life partner than her.

R-Has Kanya put U upto this?

E-Dad I think she's a little preoccupied with her friend thats in hospital and the court case. By the way U do realize that its tomorrow. She's got too much pride to ask for help and support like U. Both stubborn and i swear if U don't do something about this then i will be on hunger strike for as long as i live. Dadi bhi meri saat degi got that. Zid pe ajaungi main. Right now time for bedtime. U think long and hard about what i've just said. Sweet dreams.

Ranbir was left flabberghasted with Esha. He didn't know where all this was coming from at all. What did she have in mind? Kanya was his boss and one thing for certain was he wasn't going to give in. His daughter and Mother were both mad.

Kanya in the Godbole house had Ranbir and Pooja in her mind. She had to stay focused for the tral and make sure Tarun and Rajeev got what they deserved. Pooja was still in intensive care and in a coma. Kanya was helpless as all the money in the world couldn't bring Pooja out. Only time would tell if she would make it. Kanya was greatful for Ranbir and felt she needed to pay back the favour. She'd already got rid of that witch of a wife Ekta out of his life but she couldn't get Ranbir out of her own mind. She wished she could go back to thinking of Ranbir as just a employee but it was too late.

Part 14

Recap-Ranbir is orrdered to support Kanya and make her a Nanda or else she will be on hunger strike with her Dadi. Ranbir a little shell shocked.

Kanya is at the Mumbhai courts to testify against Tarun and Rajeev for attempting to molest her and for their attacks. She was also there to gain justice for her friend Pooja who was still in a heavy coma. There were lawyers from both sides giving their say, evidence and so on. Kanya never felt so alone. Her Dad Anand was there but no Harry. Poojas parents were there too but didn't say or do anything too busy crying. They were scared of Tarun as he had many contacts underground but Kanya being rich could handle all that. Maybe not but what gave her strength was what Esha told her that no matter how lonely life gets there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Kanya saw Ranbir entering and was quietly pleased he'd come here.

The prosecuters had their work easy as Kanya knew those 2 would be too in over their heads whilst the defence had their work cut out for them. Tarun had a bad temper and had come home with bruise marks. There were also many trips recorded from Pooja actually having treatment for broken bones. Just thinking about it made Kanya angry. This is why she hated Men but she looked at Ranbir and her anger was gone. She only thought of how different he was compared to the 2 idiots in front of her in the stand. Tarun had a smirk on his face as if warning her he'd get her. Kanya didn't give a dime. Rajeev on the other hand looked like a wimp that he'd always was. Pathetic.

Kanya gave her side to the story about the abuse. The grudge that both Rajeev and Tarun had against her. It made her sound like a Don. She was stern but she couldn't be that bad. Ranbir looked at Kanya. He never saw a woman as strong as Kanya and was proud of her standing up to her beliefs and not letting any hooligans make her cave in and win. He could tell she was a little hesitant and trying to control her emotions by masking it with anger. Thats how much he got to know her over time.

Ranbir didn't even want to come well he did but Esha kicked him out of the house. She also like her promise didn't eat anything and neither did his Mom which was worrying him slightly. Both were in cahoots with each other. Did they not know that Kanya was his boss? What would people think of him? Men were supposed to end up with women they could keep. Not women being richer than themselves. KAnya would never want to live in his house where its so small. Then again Esha would probably want to move in with them as his family were crazy.

Judge-After hearing everything on the brutal attacks on Pooja left in a coma and the finger prints taken from KAnya at the hospital and evidence found at both crime scenes is there anything Miss Kanya would like to add?

K-I just want justice. For Pooja more than anything. If she dies its all on them. They deserve to be locked away for their animalistic behaviour and for the harm they've caused mentally but physically. They deserve to be executed or life in prison.

The judge adjourned for recess. While the defence were cooking up with a plan to get them off. Kanya went out to sit with her father and Ranbir joined the,.

A-U R doing a great job.

K-Trust me its a lot harder. i just want to hurl abuse.

A-I know but remember we R trying to come across like good people not as someone that create these situations.

K-I know Dad but i wanna kill them. If Pooja doesn't pull through i will have their heads.

A-They R coming up with the verdict and the jury R'nt daft they can tell they R guilty as h**l.

K-Thanks Ranbir U didn't need to come.

R-Trust me i did. Its worth seeing those 2 get put away for good. How R U holding up?

K-I'm a wreck. I mean i'm doing good why wouldn't I? So long as these 2 dimwits haven't paid anyone off we should be good.

R-U didn't do anything stupid did U?

K-I didn't pay anyone ok. I'm not going to jeapardize anything by irrational behaviour.

R-Never stopped U before.

K-True.

R-U be strong and make sure U look directly at Tarun and Rajeev.

K-That i will.

R-We R being called in.

Judge-Everyone take your seats.

All sit down.

Judge-I have assessed all the evidence brought forwards and what witnesses have revealed. We have even heard from those accused and the judgement is that Tarun and Rajeev R guilty as charged. Tarun is sentenced to 14 years in prison and maybe less depending on your behaviour. Mr Rajeev Rai is sentenced to 7 years or maybe less as his crime only involved Miss Kanya.

RR-No I can't go to prison. Kanya tell them.

T-Shut up! U wimp. No wonder She targeted U freak. So weak.

RR-I won't do it again i swear.

They R on their way out when Tarun directly stares at Kanya and challenges her in front of Ranbir and Anand.

T-This isn't the end b***h. Watch your back as I will strike when U least expect it.

K-U'r threats R empty. U have nothing. Take your threats U'll need them in jail.

T-Kanya i will make it my lifes goal just to see U suffer. U will never live a day out of fear. U know very well i have my people.

K-U know i have well paid body guards.

T-Like last time. U have nobody.

K-I...Try your best smart a**.

R-I think your family's calling U pointing at the police. As for Kanya being alone. She has us so i think U take your own advice and shove it up your a**.

Kanya. Ranbir and Anand leave the courts. Kanya is not satisfied by the ruling. 14 and 7 years where not feesible. Hello Pooja could be dead. She just prayed Pooja pulled through for her own sanity. Kanya wasn't sleeping well at all. She kept on having those dreams. She tried to put it to the back of her head but nothing worked.

K-Thanks again. I needed a friendly face. Its weird i never liked U before and now U R more than a good friend.

R-Well that what i'm here for.

K-Is Esha ok?

R-She's great apart from this stubborn streak she's got on. Nothing i can't deal with.

K-Anything i can do?

R-No. I'll see U later and smile. Its over now. U have your life on track and the way is only up.

A-Thank U beta. Kanya ki saath dene keliye.

Kanya goes and sits at the back of the car.

R-Is she really Ok?

A-She hasn't been sleeping well. Everytime she closes her eyes she sees Tarun and that night. Kanya's been having bad dreams about Pooja and thats affecting her sleep.

R-Don't worry uncle. She'll be right as rain.

A-I hope so.

They all head off in their own destination. Ranbir at his house and Kanya in her Mansion. She tried to be happy with the outcome but she no longer thrived in others misery as she'd had a taste of it herself. Esha called Kanya that very day to make sure she was on the mend.

E-Kanya its me. I called 2 make sure that U R ok.

K-Hi Esha. Its so good to hear your voice.

E-I heard those 2 daft men got put away. Serves them right for messing with U.

K-Lets not talk about them. I want to know how my friends doing.

E-I'm hungry.

K-So eat. I'll put the phone down.

E-NO! I need U to propose 2 Dad. Or i will die of starvation. Same with Dadi. I told Pappa that if he didn't marry U then i will starve myself to death and its only been half a day. U have to do something Kanya.

K-Stop talking like a child Esha. U will fall ill.

E-Kanya U don't know me well i'm stubborn like my Dad and once i want my way i get it. I've never wanted for anything but i know U crave to be in a family that loves U. U even Like my Dad a lot to save him from my dreaded Mother whose done a dissappearing act on us.

K-Esha Ur Dad will never say yes.

E-Trust me for his daughter he will say yes to anything.

K-I'll try.

E-U do love us don't U?

Kanya thought long and hards and immediately knew the answer that was forever playing in her mind. She loved Ranbir and Esha more than her own life.
