Part 16
Recap- Kanya and Ranbir agree to get married. Esha finally sarts to eat as the Wedding day drew near. Kanya goes to visit Pooja.
The next few days for Kanya R hectic as she devides er tim between work, hospital, spending time with her own family as well as Ranbirs just so that everyone could live harmoniously together unfortunately it was easier saide than done. Ranbirs nephews and nieces stuck around to see Kanya. Archie tried her best but hospital shifts were everywhere as they were short on staff. Malika and Big D were present but Ranbirs brothers were run rugged due to their wives demands. Ayaan bechara was engaged to Shanaya a rich industrialists daughter who threatened she'd die if she didn't get Ayaan and to save her he said yes.
Ranbir had supported Kanya and had taken up the senior Managers post to help Kanya sort out business as she'd fallen behind on work trying to jugging 5 things at once. On top they had to do house hunting which wasn't an easy task as they had to look for something that Ranbir was able to afford. Kanya's Dad Anand was glad that Kanya was getting her act together. They took Esha in many of their house hunting trips. Esha wasn't much help as she didn't bother where they lives so long as they were all together.
They had finally come past this one place that was perfect. It was away from prying eyes with Kanya being so rich she always had the paparazi following her wherever she went. It wasn't what Kanya was used to. It was fairly small and cute. Very homely just right for 5 people in their family though it had 3 bedrooms. Big D and MAlika would move in with them. Esha and themselves. It was a long drive to work but at least it was affordable for Ranbir. The place needed renovating and Kanya decided that she would do the whole thing herself and Ranbir would be in charge of the business. She decided she would appoint a co- manager so that whenever Kanya was too busy Ranbir could easily take over. He was good at running things anyway.
K-Perfect!
E-Any place is perfect if er R all together there.
R-U girls get very senti about these things its just a place.
E-U did not just say that. Just a place. Its our place. Our new home.
R-We haven't even moved in yet.
E-I have a good feeling about this place.
K-Then its settled. I will make sure this place looks like a home. I will make sure we get this done up. Esha can help after all it is the holidays almost.
R-U girls have totally pushed me out.
K-U can handle the business side of things and please teach my brother the meaning of work.
R-I can't it looks bad.
K-Ranbir if i can change my way of life to suit U. U can change your post to something higher. Its not like U don't already run the place in my absense Dad has been praising U highly and if he says U need to be promoted then its a long time coming. If U want we can even branch out in a few months and give some responsibility to some senior staff and train up your brother Sid and my brother.
E-She's right Dad.
R-Fine its a metter of a few weeks right!
K-Depends when we get the house sorted by and i'll get some time to spare with Pooja.
R-I see U R trying to shaft all the hard work to me while U 2 relax.
K-We promise the painting job we can share it out. I would have hired my own renovators but i want to feel like i've put some input other than money.
R-Ok U win. Shall we go?
They take the keys to the house and leave. Kanya goes to the hospital to tell Pooja all about her new house. Kanya had spoken to one of the nurses that told her that although Pooja was comatose she could hear everything and maybe something she says or does can bring her back.
K-Pooja i wish tu dekh sakhti main kitni kush hoon. I've bought the best family place ever and i'm finally cutting down on work to concentrate on my house so that once were married Ranbir and I can move in permanently. In the meantime i will pester U everyday until U wake up. So don't even think about giving up. Maybe my nagging U everyday for hours on end will make U come to life. I need U there with me for when i get married. Things R moving slowly in the direction i want them. Ranbir is nearly mine. I'm sure with time he will learn to love me. Sirf teri kami hain. So U get well for me.
Kanya sits a few hours waffling on and on about Esha and many more things occasionally shedding a few tears. She knew if Pooja wasn't in a coma she would have been going on about how Kanya is turning into a typical Saas bahu type heroine who's outer shell had been cracked to reveal her soft interior layer. She missed her friends faltu jokes.
A few more days have the same outcome with Kanya doing the same routine only this time Ranbir is doing all the hard graft while Kanya goes to the DIY shop to pick up supplies with her brother Harpal to help her with the chores but he turned out to be really bad at DIY so ended up buying one of everything in the store apart from paint. She knew what colour she wanted which was ivory for downstairs and for upstairs she had pink paint and for her room she had white/blue colour and for the other room it was green.
Ranbir comes home and is just a little annoyed with the whole house being cluttered with everything. He decided to take Kanya himself and return things that weren't needed. He had to admit Kanya didn't do things in half.
R-If U didn't know what to get U could have called me?
K-U would have laughed at me. Its all Harry's fault.
R-Well at least now U know for next time.
K-I think next time i'll get U to do this. I wanted a challenge and definately got one.
E-I have to admit it was really funny watched Hary uncle with Kanya. Both clueless.
K-U sat there and didn't help.
E-Sorry baba but then i wouldn't have got to see the worked up Kanya and Dad wouldn't have made this trip with us.
R-I better take U to the Godbole house its getting late.
K-I didn't even realize the time. Esha tomorrow U me and hopefully all the Nanda boys whoever R available to help us out.
R-I feel so left out now.
K-Don't worry U have lots to do like paint with us.
R-The fun job
