Chapter 4: Social Network, Personal Plights

Today is the world of the WWW; technology has somehow shrunk the world as if it has all came down into a small oyster, today is the age of web cams, chatting , e-mailing, blogging, SMSing only time knows what else will be there for us in the future.

Of course we have the privilege of all of these innovative discoveries that has made life somehow a whole lot easier, but every coin has 2 sides, & that aspect of it should never be ignored.

It's this very choice of taking the sides that make any and everything a bane or a boon.

A right choice can make Ur life heavenly, make a wrong one and u may land in hell even before you know it.

It's somehow so sad n completely disheartening to wake up & read stories about people even killing each other over trivial issues off non agreement on some sites that are just meant for fun purposes. We join up to make friends may end up dead by an unknown stranger, pleasant ain't it eh?

Pratik & Deepika may not have wound up dead but their love surely did.

Deepika an only daughter of a very rich upper middle class family was spoiled for choices ever since her birth.

Being the only child who was born after 8 years of marriage had made her pampered like hell.

She had the privilege of being driven to & from everywhere in her own car with a chauffeur, the latest cell phones, a high end PC with the largest bedroom on the 3rd floor of their 3 storied building.

She had a nag for endlessly being on Orkut n chatting for hours, if disturbed she would start throwing tantrums & be left at her will.

Her father owns a chain of boutiques & mother managing a huge joint family being the eldest daughter – in – law made her course a lot easier.

Thou Pratik himself was a member on orkut however he made interactions on net only.
He never ever arranged a meeting with any of his net friends as he was not into it & besides had a huge friends group anyway to make time for anyone else.

Deepika on the contrary was a different ball game altogether, she made her numbers available to stranger barely having chatted a few times not understanding the risk it may cause, after this a event happened that changed it all.

Deepika went a step ahead with her risky endeavors, not only she gave her number to a boy she had chatted to just for a few days she decided to meet him in person.

Pratik thou not an MCP but still was possessive n protective of his girlfriend.
He didn't like the fact about Deepika giving out her No. to any Tom, Dick or Harry.

One day his worst fears came true as he realized his girlfriend' doings

He had tried to call Deepika to say that he may be late for their date tomorrow by an hour or so, so that she may not end up waiting for him by getting there too early at the earlier fixed time outside Pizza Hut.

But somehow it was always busy, he dare not call at her home naturally so he tried SMSing her but even that failed.
The delivery report showed message not sent due to network error.

So he tried the next & only alternative left that would be surely safe for her & would confirm her receiving his message, as he knew she logs into Orkut late night as well to check her scraps.

He went & logged into Orkut in his account, found her in his friend list & went to her profile, which he saw was updated.

He saw some new pictures of her favourite Shahid Kapoor uploaded along with some new videos by Akon.

Lastly he went to her scrapbook where he was about to write his scrap when he noticed something that got his attention.

Looking ahead he surfed a few more pages in her scrapbook where he realized a thing he had warned her off about a million times & didn't want her to do it.

well great. great... great part.And what u wrote about science and technology and orkut was so true. Recently Orkut was in news for many bad reasons n some indian political parties were also demanding to close it. I really agree anything can become bad if used too excessively and sciene and orkut are no exception. Great part Aahana and i think Pratik is much mature and wiser than Deepika.Waiting for the next twist to unfold. And last but not the least, i think that u have seleted really a different subject and u r handling it really well. and 👏 u deserve really this lil sis 😛 The devil wears D& G Is it a hint 😉 Because i have watched someone wearing this. Anyways post the next part really really soon
