Part 19

Recap-Ranbir finally confesses his feelings. He tries to tell Kanya everything including what happened with Archie. Kanya stops him. They both make out big style. Aditya bhaiya knows that Ranbir and Kanya are now a couple for real. Archie's flight gets postponed.

Archie comes down the stairs looking quite mad until she sees Ranbir and Kanya. She's actually happy seeing the two of them hand in hand but feels a little sad at the same time. Strange feeling happy and sad at the same time. She needed to get away from this place but a few hours can't hurt. Then she would be back home. She had to meet Chunnu. The guy wasn't all that bad and let him know as he would be going back to America after a couple of weeks. She finally came out of her deep thought. She was now just going to enjoy her last 6 hours with her friends.

A-Looks like somebody's in love! Am i correct.

M-Of course they are in love beti. Warna woh shaadi nahin karte!

A-Aunty i meant. Woh they seem very happy and still as loved up as they might have been when they first married. U know what they say about the first couple of months being bliss and then it goes down hill.

M-It's ok beta i know what u mean. Sometimes even i wonder if these two have only just fallen in love. Yeh ladte jagarte bohut. It's a good change to see them getting on.

Archie mouths sorry to Kanya and Ranbir. She didn't see the rest of the family. Kanya and Ranbir let her know it's ok.

R-Mom ab humare barein mein baat kar rahe hain jaise hum dono yah ape nahin hai.

M-Kya karoon beta. Tujhe to batein karna fizool hain. Har waqt excuses.

K-Mummyji hum ghumne chale. U know Mamma aur Pappa ko dekhne. Is bahana Archie bhi un sab ko bye karke milegi.

M-Kanya that's a good idea.

They all sit round and eat their breakfast. Malika notices that Archie isn't eating anything. She feels her temperature but she seemed ok.

M-Tu kuch ka rahi nahin. Kuch aur banwake lao.

A-Aunty woh kya mujhe bukh nahin. Nashta nahin kar sakhte.

Adi-Chachi Archita ko mein kuch le ke deta hoon. Archie come here.

K-Are u ok? Maybe u shouldn't go today. Cancel the flight.

A-No!!! I mean i need to get away. Back home. I left everything without even considering my finances. I need to get back to work. I have good managers there in charge but i really need to go.

K-If your sure? But if i see anything wrong i will cancel your flight. Ranbir is with me on this.

Aditya takes Archie away to the kitchen and sends all the servants away. He hold her for a few moments while she throws up as Malika made her eat makhi ka paratha with vermillici.

Adi-Are u sure Archie u will be ok? Maybe u need to tell Ranbir and Kanya the truth. He has a right to know. I feel bad enough knowing about this but not being able to tell anyone.

A-Adi bahaiya. U look cute when your all concerned but i have it all covered. Ranbir deserves to know but he has only just got Kanya. They are so happy. When i planned all this i didn't think about them at all now i wish i went about it differently. This has to stay hidden. It could ruin both their life. What they don't know can't hurt them. I didn't Kanya then so i wasn't bothered but now i deem her as a good friend. If she knew she would never forgive me and who knows what she'd do to Ranbir.

Adi-I get what your saying but the truth has a way of coming out. Secrets don't always remain secrets. I should know. I'm Ranbir's brother and yet i keep this from him.

A-Look at the long run. This baby is what i need. Ranbir and Kanya won't find out unless u tell them. I sure won't. I'm leaving today and never coming back here. I don't think i can handle it. It's not like Ranbir and Kanya are ever coming to England anytime soon.So what's there to worry about? If by some chance it comes out i will deal with it. But until then i don't want to worry about it.

Adi-Archie phir bhi. I say u tell Ranbir.

A-Telling him is like telling Kanya. They don't need this. Trust me. They are so much in love i don't want anything to come in their way.

Adi-I don't agree with u but this still isn't right. How will u cope? U don't have anybody in England.

A-I have friends there. Stop worrying.

Adi-Maybe now that u got Ranbir and Kanya together u can help me get Astha out of my life!

R-What's going on? Archie are u ok? U guys have been gone a while now.

A-I'm fine aren't i Adi bhaiya.

R-Why do i feel that u guys are hiding something?

A-Come on Ranbir. U are always trying to dig dirt. The only thing is that i am refusing to eat and Aditya bhaiya is trying to force feed me. Plus he wants me to come up witha plan to oust his wife.

R-Trust me we've been trying for years but she won't budge. Looks like she's stuck with u for life.

Adi-Yeah hassle.mere wali tho mujhe dara thi rehti hain. Kya kismet paya hain maine. Well anyway Archie ne abhi kuch kaya nahin.

R-So eat. Or do u want me to rustle u up with one of my specialty.

A-No thanx. Tumhara kana kake mujhe itni jald upar nahin jaana.

R-Thanx for the vote of confidence.

A-Now go. I will eat then follow u guys outside.

The 3 leave the kitchen and get ready to go outside. Aditya was about to go when his wife stopped him and he ended up going shopping with her.

Ranbir, Kanya and Archie went to the Godboles where Aita went back to her sasural. Pooja was home and happy to see her sister beaming with happiness. From that look she knew that Ranbir had finally gotten together with Kanya. About time too. Harpal was busy with Simran who was too busy pestering him about wedding details. Pammi and Anand were as always welcoming. Chunnu was there too. Archie went to see him.

C-U still here? I thought your flight was first thing.

A-It was but got postponed so i thought i would see u before i leave. Who knows when we will meet again. Life mein koi guarantee nahin.

C-True. Well i'm leaving soon too maybe we will see each other a lot sooner than u think. I'm thinking of moving to England to expand my business. America will still be home but i think i need a change.

A-Thats good. Maybe we can come up with a partnership.

C-Partnership? I was waiting for a proposal. Better coming from u than me.

A-Not that kind. Business related.

C-So u don't want any Chunnu magic?

A-Please u are making me want to hurl.

C-U R hurting my feelings Archie. So what time is your flight at?

A-6.15PM

C-Gives me plenty of time to get ready for a party.

R-R U even invited to this party? Joking. We're having a big send off u are welcome.

C-It's good to know that u haven't been put off by my stupid behaviour.

R-Come on its all forgotten. In the past where it belongs. I'm not so proud of my behaviour so i guess we're eve. Friends.

C-Friends. (They shake hand)

K-Good to see u both getting on. Chunnu no more bets and Ranbir don't get sucked in by him again. I will not talk to u forever.

R-U sure about that? I am known to be just as stubborn. Maybe i wont ever speak to u.

K-Ranbir Nanda. Don't u dare. It's taken us this long to get here. If u ignore me mujhse buri koi nahin hogi. Got that. Ranbir Nanda ki biwi hoon.

R-U started it first. Main bhi Kanya Nanda ka pati hoon. Mujhse bhura koi nahin.

C-Good to see u guys so happy and most of all in LOVE. U guys were so slow i was wondering if u 2 would ever get your act together.

R-Kyun?

C-Ranbir if i told u that i knew that u guys weren't showing a united front before so i kind of just acted like a friend trying to get in the way of u and Kanya. Come on i came for Kanya but i would never get in the way of her love.

K-Kya?

C-Ya Chutki. U R stubborn. If by even a chance u felt anything for Ranbir u would never let him have the satisfaction of knowing he has something over u as was the same when Archie arrived. I was never after Kanya. She's my best friend. I did try to go about it the wronf way by trying to show i am better than u but i also knew that would make u step up and show Kanya what kind of guy u are.

R-Well looks like both friends have played match maker.

A-Well Chunnu looks like mission accomplished.

K-I will get the both of u.

R-Me 2.

A-We shall see? Time will tell.

C-As far as i can tell u can't do anything to us as Archie is leaving and so am i.

Pammi and Shanta bring in some refreshments. Well actually Pammi brings it in. Shanta is too busy smiling at Ranbir. Pammi leaves them all to talk while she gets some food prepared.

S-Kya hain re ghende. Tu ne meri Kanya ko apni jaal me pasa diya.

R-Shanta tai. Aaj job hi kehna hain kehdo. I can take all the insults.

S-Kya? Tu sach much me gaya.

K-Oho Shanta tai. Ap mere pati ko kuch kahenge na tho mujhe se bhura koi nahin. Chahe koi bhi ho. Samje. Mere pati ka insult mere inult.

S-Tu bhi uske saath milgayi. Ab me mazzak kiske saath karungi. Mujhe to use gaali de dekar aadat hogayi hain. Ab isse thoru kaise. Mujhe to insult dene ki alava kuch athi nahin. Zarror usne jadoo tona ki hain. Mein kisi ache baba ko leke ati hoon.

K-Shanta tai. Isne mujhpar pyar ka jadoo ki hain. Is ki illaj kuch nahin. Ap mujhe udaas dikhna chahti hain. Apne to meri madad karne ki vaada kit hi ab yeh u-turn.

S-Main yeh dekhna chahtiti ke main sapna to nahin dekh rahi hoon. Tu bilkul patnio ki tara apna pati ki waqalat deh rahi hain. Mein kush hoon.

R-It's ok. Kanya inki baton ka mujhe asar nahin parta.

K-No Ranbir. She needs to respect u. Mazzak bohut hogaya. Mere pyaar ko koi kuch kahen main bardast nahin karsakhti. Ok.

S-Tere pyar. Is ghende aur pyar. Soorat dekh uska. Lagthi hain us ke saath rehte rehte tub hi andhi hogayi hain. Aise na hojaye woh tujhe bhi saand banake chode.

R-Shanta tai ap Kanya ke bare main aisa nahin ke sakhte. Ha woh patli hain aur shayad i don't deserve her but i will not stand u insulting her.

P-Why jiju? Woh laghti kya tumhari?

R-Biwi hain meri. I love her. Pyar kartha hoon usse. Koi aitraaz?

P-Shanta mazaak kar rahi thi. Come on Ranbir Nanda sab ke saamne keh raha hain. U love my sister i know that. I'm just sorry i didn't believe u before. But at least it's all good. We can all breath a sigh of relief. Tum dono ka confession sunte sunte yeh waiting na kitni mushkil this. We were thinking hum bure na hojaye.

A-It's true Ranbir. U guys are 1 in a million.

With that they all laugh and promise to come at the send off party.

Part 20

Recap-Archie and Aditya bhaiya have a chat about the baby. Ranbir and Kanya along with Archie go out. Ranbir in front of Pooja and Shanta declares his love for Kanya.

The day of the party everything is going as it was planned. Aditya bhaiya was paying close attention to Archie as she wasn't feeling herself. Chunnu arrives to wish Archie a safe journey back home as do the rest of the Godboles. The party was strictly for family only so it was a small do nothing extravagant. Archie felt humbled that the Godboles made an effort to see her off.
Ranbir was busy with Archie. He couldn't help thanking her. Archie too couldn't help but gave Ranbir a little hug and thanked him back. Ranbir didn't realise what she was thanking him for. They both danced together one last time. Ranbir promised that if ever Archie needed help in the future he would be there in a heartbeat.

A-Ranbir i am pleased for u. Things R finally working out for U. Make sure u keep Kanya happy. Warna i will come back here and give u a big whopping.

R-Trust me i think there's already a big queue. Look at all them Godboles and my Mom do u think she'd spare me? I maybe her son but she loves Kanya as if she were her own daughter.

A-Good to hear. Tum mujhe khabie khabie aggar mere yaad aye to ek phone zaroor kardena. Tumhara awaaz sunne ke liye i will run to get the phone.

R-Archie yeh koi poochne ki baat hain granted due to business i've neglected most of my friends but u R special. Tumne mujhe aur Kanya ko milvaya hain. For that u come first.

A-Good. Otherwise i will complain to Kanya.

R-Archie i don't know why i feel tum kuch chupa rahiho mujhse?

A-Nahin to. It's your imagination Ranbir. Stop trying to be smart and just enjoy. Tum mere mood ko karrab kar rahe ho. Have fun. I want to remember u all smiling.

K-Tum dono kya baatein kar rahi ho? U R not trying to steal my husband R U?

A-Come on Kanya as if i have a chance. Look at him. U 2 R made for each other. He has eyes only for u. Notice he has not checked one girl out. In comparison to Mr Chunnu over there. He maybe a bachelor but Ranbir's nieces R sure not impressed by that display.

R-Akhir bateejis kis ki hain. The know style when they see it.

A-U can have Ranbir back. We've said our goodbyes. I hate goodbyes. So lets just say C U around.

K-I don't want Ranbir!

R-Kya? U better be joking Mrs Nanda or else i will have to look for your replacement.

K-U just dare and i will kill U.

R-U'll become a widow then.

K-Ranbir shut up. Ok. Don't even joke about finding anybody else. It's taken us this long to find each other. I need to talk to Archie.

R-I won't say nothing. C already nacre dika rahi hain. She already has me running round her beck and call. Tum bhi don ki thara dhamkiya dete ho!

K-Aur nahin to kya? Now go. Go bond with Chunnu.

Ranbir goes away to Chunnu and both guys just start bonding over Kanya chats. How she was when she was younger.

K-Archie. I know that U love Ranbir a great deal. Is there something u want to tell me?

A-Kanya not U too. First Ranbir and now U. There is nothing wrong. Stop being paranoid.

K-I will never forgive myself if something happened to u.

A-Kanya stop it. U R making me feel horried the way i treated u. I know i was despicable. But know this in the short time i've been here u have become one of my best friends. I find it hard to make new friends as i find it hard to trust people. I can happily say that i trust u with my life Kanya. U R the most sweetest person i will ever meet. Ranbir is lucky to have u in his life. Please look after him. Make sure if he is ever cross that u will make up fast. He is very stubborn. I know he is in safe hands but what do i do. I can't stop caring.

K-I will but make sure u look after yourself. Call us and we'll do the same.

A-Kanya if U were to find out a bad secret about somebody that might seperate 2 people would u tell that person.

K-Archie is there something wrong?

A-No hypothetically speaking. Would U say anything to the person in question.

K-It depends. Is this about U and Chunnu or is this about me and Ranbir?

A-I was just being silly! It's nothing. I'll have to deal with chunnu in London about something anyway.

K-Is there something between U guys?

A-He knows something and i well. He wants something that i feel i am not ready to give him. Its complicated.

K-Yeah i get it.

Both women have a girly hug. Ira and Eva give Archie the biggest hugs ever. All 4 women have tears in their eyes. Aditya gives Archie a hug.

Adi-U look after yourself and that little one. Don't forget to send pictures ok or else i will go to London myself with Ranbir.

A-Adi baiya as if i would do that. I will call and let U know happy. U take care.

A-Shanaya make sure U don't bug Ayaan too much. The poor guy looks like he doesn't have much life in him. Have mercy on him.

S-Kya Archie. U as well. U guys make it sound like i torture to him when it's him that tortures me.

Ayaan-I think everyone can see who tortures whom. I guess i'll be dead in a few months so who cares. Shanaya start planinig for husband number 2.

A-U 2 will never change. Ok guys i'm off. Malika aunty thank U for your hospitality. I will miss U all. Pooja and Shanta don't be making anymore troubles for this couple. Ranbir and Kanya don't need it.

P-U have no worries on that trust me. Kanya will skin us for sure.

A-Chunnu C U soon in London ok. U promised 2 meet me up.

C-I know baba. I won't forget.

A-Shlok and Arth. U guys be on your best behaviour. Ranbir will keep me informed on you 2. Rewa and Astha bhabies please try to play nice.

With that Archie left for the airport leaving everyone behind. Rewa just rolled her eyes as did Astha trying to come up with a new plan to separate Kanya and Ranbir. Will their plan succeed?
