Part 12
Ranbir never knew love would feel like so good but was scared of feeling like this again after along time but had difficulty trusting in fate after Madhu. Kanya was differen from all the other women he'd met from over the years. Even Kat his on/off partner whom he thought knew the score had hurt him by playing her wacky games but he loved her in his own way as a dear friend. He looked at Kat if only she got her messed up life sorted. Always so indecisive at the age of 30 wasn't good. She was always lost and got herself into trouble but she'd gotten to used to one of the guys bailing her out. Every member from Ranbir's car had got to their room and to bed quietly not to wake Malika. Ranbir took Kat in the guest room as he didn't feel it was right to leave her alone in the hotel where she was staying. She kept on mumbling under her breath about past times and how she wished she could change the clock. She kept going on about being lonely. Ranbir hated seeing her like this but knew she had to toughen up.
K-Ranbir, Don't leave me please. Not you. I feel so alone. Nobody. No one. Everyone always leaves. I always leave. Tum believe.
R-You need to sober up. So jao in the morning everything always looks better.
K-Dobara don't leave. Hamesha you chale go.
Ranbir gives Kat a kiss on her forehead and leaves her to go to his room. Ranbir lays his head on the pillow and just drifts off to his sleep dreaming of Kanya and for the first time he has no doubts that what he is doing is right or wrong. No need for rationalising his thoughts he is simply following his heart. He is in a deep sleep that he doesn't hear his mobile ringing from the hospital calling about his other family members and Kanya. Everyone in the Nandas are unknown to the new crisis that will rock all family member really hard.
An hour before Ranbir's mobile started ringing a passerby had reported an accident not far from Kanya's home after an hour since the accident occurred. There were 5 people in the car. Car was totally smashed the left side. The truck that was driving was already dead on the scene. The passerby had checked for pulse and immediately called the ambulance to come quick and followed every step they gave him. He made sure that there were no dangers of the car exploding and so on. He moved any obstructions that maybe in the way and made sure that their airways were clear and that they were breathing fine.
Kanya's family are immediately notified about both Kanya and Pooja's condition which is really bad. Pooja sustained some serious injuries. As she'd been sitting in the front seat of the car she had a fractured skull with internal bleeding and the whole family were present at Leelavathi Hospital. The surgeons had done all they could to help but to no avail. Pooja was in the ICU and heavily sedated.
Akash was doing quite badly but his side of the car wasn't too bad and just managed to escape with swelling to the head and had the left side of his arm plastered. He too needed some stitches. Sidharth wasn't so lucky he had died on the spot and Aditya was in the critical list. Kanya was also in the critical list but she had lost consciousness and a lot of blood. Kanya had managed to say a few words before she lost consciousness to the doctors about Ranbir and about her unborn baby and that she wanted nobody to know but passed out soon after.
The doctors were prepping for Kanya's surgery to try and stop her bleeding which was looking like it wasn't stopping. Kanya was sedated and the operation lasted a good two hours. Once they's come out she seemed stable for now but the next 12 she'd have to be closely monitored. Kanya's mom and Dad spent the whole night praying for their daughters safety and well being both needed all the prayers they could get.
The next day back at the Nanda mansion everyone was up and gearing up for work and were in a good mood apart from those that had hangovers namely Kat, Shlok and Arth. Tom was used to his drink. Malika noticed that Aditya and Sidharth still hadn't arrived for breakfast.
M-Ranbir tere bhaiyon kahan hain. Abhi tak nich nahin aye hain.
R-Aap jaake Rewa bhabi aur Aastha bhabhie se poochiye.
M-Un dono ko pooch ke mere sar karungi unki beauty parlour aur social status ke aagi unke husband aur bache kuch nahin. Apne swath ke hi soch te hain. Us Rewa ko sirf uski hi parwa hain.
One of the servants go to check and say they aren't there. Ranbir assumes maybe they are at work already. Ranbir gets his mobile out to check if he was left any messages or calls and finds that he had 3 miscalls by the same number. He calls them to find out and gets the shock of his life. Immediately all the family rush out to Leelavathi hospital.
