Chapter 8:

It is 6:30 in the morning. Sharp rays of the morning sun fell on Kanya's eyes. Ranbir felt some move and saw that kanya was getting disturbed by the sun rays. Ranbir lifted his hand to block the rays from disturbing his most beautiful wife's peaceful sleep. He glared at her and could not take his eyes off her face as she slept innocently. She slowly felt some one protecting her from something harsh. She gently opened her eyes and saw Ranbir holding his hand up for her. She gave him a contented smile and in return he gave her a smile. There is a beautiful eye lock scene and in the background this song from Darling plays. (listen to this song as you read the scene below to feel the effect)

"Yeh dil tere kadmo mein bichha doon

Tere mehke khaabon ko saja doon

Teri chaahaton ke sadke meri zindagi

Abb toh jaane jaana mujhko teri aashiqi

She slowly takes his hand, kisses it and placed it on her heart assuring him how much she loved him. Ranbir leaves a gentle kiss on her forehead and she passionately hugs him. She felt comfortable wrapped totally under his big arms. She felt like a kid being protected by an angel from all evils. His big chest left enough room for her head to rest comfortably. It felt like a soft pillow that took all her pain away. She knew that someone was there to share her pain. It was the most beautiful moment of her life to feel that some one was there to protect her from dangers. He was everything to her – an angel, a friend, a relation, a husband and all relationships that are important to a woman in this world. She slowly lifted her head and loosened her hug to look straight into ranbir's eyes. His mesmerizing looks had taken her away to a completely new world for a moment.

On the other hand ranbir was enjoying every gesture of her. He was not worried about the future because he knew that she would never leave him. He knew that every present moment she spent with him will bring her back to him. God had brought them together and this couple was made by nature. Nothing can separate them. Ranbir felt secure and loved by someone whom he loved the most. According to him she was his most precious gift and he was not willing to sacrifice her to anyone. As they backed off from hugging each other they got lost in each others eyes. They gently moved closer and closer to each other for a passionate kiss. This was their first kiss and it was a union of their love, emotions and feelings for each other. It was their most memorable moment. It was gentle, light hearted and brought them closer to each other. They slowly backed off and again got lost in each other's eyes. He saw little pearls of tears from her eyes rolling down her cheeks because she felt so complete and content for the first time in her life. Ranbir moved closer to her cheeks and kissed her tears. They were completely unaware of their surroundings and they found themselves in each others eyes.

Dr. Mehra slowly enters the room and sees them totally lost. She cleared her throat to bring them back to reality.

Ranbir: dr. mehra. Sorry aap kab aye.

Dr. mehra: lagta hai galat waqt hai. Anyway sorry for breaking your romantic eye locks. (Ranbir feels embarrassed and kanya feels shy for a moment) mein kuch dawayiyan likti hoon. Ek hafte ke baad kanya ghar jaa sakti hai. Pairon mein kuch dard hoga. Bas kuch dinon mein teekh ho jayegi. She has to do some walking exercises. (She asks ranbir to come and meet her in her office. Kanya finds something fishy in it while ranbir leaves.)

She was worried because ranbir had not returned yet. Ranbir was talking to a psychiatrist in Dr. mehra's room regarding Kanya's treatment. She thought Ranbir was hiding something from her. In the mean time Rewa enters the ward at the wrong moment. She introduces herself to Kanya.

Rewa: Hi Kanya… Mein rewa nanda hoon. Ranbir's babhi. Tum mujhe nahin pehchanti lekin mein tumhe janti hoon. Kya faida. Tum to hum sab logon ko bhool chuki ho. Tum hum mein se kisi ko nahin pechanti. Tum sirf ranbir ko janti ho.

Kanya: meri treatment shuru honewala hi hai… phir uske baad mein aap logon ko bhi pehachanoongi.

Rewa: uske baad bhi kya faida. Uske baad tum ranbir ko nahin pehchanogi na. (and she spills all information about kanya's amnesia that Dr. Mehra had told ranbir… God knows how she knew about it. It was something that even ranbir's mom din't know about. She had bribed the nurse to know about kanya's case so that she could give more troubles to her).

Kanya is shocked with tears in her eyes. She does not know what to do and looks confused.

FREEZEEEEE.

Chapter 9

Kanya doesn't know what to do after learning the truth. Rewa finishes the purpose of her visit and leaves the place. She bumps into ranbir and just gives him a sly smile. Ranbir looks confused and sees Kanya weeping. He suspected Rewa's foul play and sat beside Kanya. He gave her the medicine and she refused to take.

Kanya: Mein yeh dawayi nahin leloongi. (looking away from ranbir)

Ranbir: Par Kyun…(In a sweet tone). Agar tum dawayi nahin logi to tumhari tabiyath teekh nahin hogi. Tum utke chal nahin sakthi, bhaag nahin sakthi, khel nahin sakhti etc.. etc. etc. aur tum purani kanya nahin ban jaogi. Tumhari yaadhash wapas nahin ayegi. Tum kisi ko yaad nahin kar paaogi…

Kanya: aur tumko…..(Ranbir who as filling water in her glass just stops and looks at her in shock). Mein tumko bhool jaaungi. (she looks at ranbir straight into his eyes)…. Mein tumko bhool jaaoongi…. Hain na…

Ranbir: kanya … woh… tum dawayi khalo…..

(stopping ranbir from giving her the medicine)

Kanya: Haan ya naa. Mujhe jawab chahiye…..bholo ranbir…. Chup kyun ho…mere treatment ke baad mein tumko bhool jaaugi na.

Ranbir: haan…. Aise ek chance hai…

Kanya: (turning to ranbir and holding his face)… mujhe ye treatment nahin chahiye ranbir. Please. Mere baath mano na.. mein aise hi rahungi… agar mein kisi ko nahin pehachanthi to kuch nahin hoga…. Lekin agar mein tumhe bhool jaaoon to mein sab kuch khoo jaaoongi. Please ranbir mujhe ye dawayi nahin chahiye. Mujhe tumhe apne aap se door math karna ranbir. Mein tumhe bhool nahin sakthi.

Ranbir: dekh tumhi ne to kaha ki tum mujhe bhool nahin sakthi. To phir kis bath ko lekar dar rahi ho. tumhe kuch nahin hoga…. Mujhe barosa hai….mere pyar mein aur mere kanya mein. Ab ache bacche ki tarah yeh dawayi khalo. Yeh dawayi teri yaadash wapas lane ke liye nahin. Ye teri pair teekh hone ke liye. Chalo jaldi khalo…. Mujhe packing karna hai.. hum kal ghar ja rahe hai.

She takes the medicine and lies down on the bed. Ranbir covers her with the bed sheet and leaves a small peck on her cheeks. While he leaves kanya holds his hand and makes him sit down. She slowly gets up and sleeps in his arms to feel more comfortable and protected.

The whole night passes by and ranbir decides to pack everything for them to leave the next day next day morning. Ranbir calls someone to make sure all arrangements are made.

Ranbir is busy packing while kanya is sleeping silently. Ranbir wonders why she is not snoring. But then he understands that she did it to bug him. And then gives one pat on his head and gts back to work.

The next day morning.

Ranbir's takes all kanya's belongings to the car. Ranbir slowly lifts kanya from the bed and makes her walk.

Dr. Mehra: Kanya…. roz atleast half an hour walking exercise karna. Dawayiaan regularly kha lo ok.

Kanya: Dr. Mehra….Agar yadhhash wapas na aane ke liye kuch dawayi hai to de deejiye. Who mein regularly leloongi.

Dr. Mehra looks surprised, smiles and takes a leave.

Ranbir: chale….

Kanya: Haan chalte hai. Dheere se chalo.

He tries to make her walk holding her shoulders. They reach the corridor and she feels really tired. The pain hurts her a lot and she really can't walk.

Kanya: mujhe bahut dard ho raha hai. Mein aur age nahin chal sakthi. Please thodi der rukhte hai na.

Ranbir: Dard ho rahi hai!!! Ab hum kya kare… ek minute (he looks around to see if anyone is seeing him and then he lifts her in his arms and smiles)

Kanya: (feels shy and is blushing) ranbir! Ye hospital hai. Sab log dekh rahe hai. Chalo utharo mujhe abhi is waqt.

Ranbir: chup!!! Baat jyada bolti hai tu. Pati hoon mein teri!! Mera hakh banta hai!! Haan haan Manta hoon hospital hai.. to kya hua. (he swings her in his arms while all the hospital folks are glaring at them)….

In the background ….. Sathiya from darling plays.
