he got up...

they've tried everything...

he silenced her...covering her mouth
with his hand.......& whispered...

abhi tak isne jo bhi likha hai...

aage ki zindagi bhi aise hi kat jaayegi...

he winked at her....grinning..

she smiled...a tear falling down her eye.....
he was back to his usual self...
filmy lines!!

he bent..& kissed the tear away...

with an arm around tehzeeb's waist.....
both grinning....

raj separated from naina...
both blushing profusely....

navin chuckled wen he saw both their blush
deepen....

tehzeeb too decided to pull their leg....

"arz hai...
dawa bhi kaam na aaye..koi dua na lage..
dawa bhi kaam na aaye...koi dua na lage..
aye mere khuda....
kisi ko pyaar ki hawa na lage..."

they all started laughing...

"dono ki band baji hui hai..
par romance nahi chodenge..."
nanoo told him...
"kya kiss thi!"

tazz hit navin lightly...
"apni behen ko to baksh do kam se kam...!"

raj raised his eyebrow..

"mere dost...
phool khilte hain..baaharon ka sama hota hai..
aise mausam mein hi to pyaar jawaan hota hai...
dil ki baaton ko hothon se nahi kehte...
yeh fasaana toh..aankhon se bayaan hota hai...."
he winked...while naina shied away....

"aaye-haaye!!...waah naina...
tune to isse shaayar bhi bana diya!!"
navin slapped raj on his shoulder....

"ab bakwaas band kar...kaam kya hai bol?"
raj smiled....

"kya din aa gaye hain...!!
hum to do bimaar logon se milne aaye the...
par...

anyway...we've got to give you
a good news.....main aur tehzeeb..."
this time he blushed....

"we're getting engaged 4 days later...."
tehzeeb finished for him...

"wat??!"
naina's smile was swept away...
4 days later....but the 5th day....

"kya hua sis?..koi problem..."

"huh...."
she was snapped out of her thoughts...
"nahi...of course not....dat's great...."

raj meanwhile had gone upto them..
& hugged dem in turn...

"congrats guys....
tum dono to chupa-rustam nikle...
itni jaldi planning kar bhi li...
humaare tapakne ka intezaar kar rahe the kya??
oh!!...naina aur tera b'day
bhi to ussi din hai na...?"

navin nodded...

"bhai...discharge kab mil raha hai...?"
naina changed the conversation...

"raj ko abhi...aur tujhe kal.."

"main bhi aaj..."

"no way...."

"please bhai..."

"nahi naina...navin's right..."
raj told her....

and dat was d end of the conversation....

it was a different thing dat raj stayed by her side
all day....having recovered completely....

naina had a bit of trouble walking
initially the following day...
& constantly needed support...

the first thing she did was too
convey a certain message to her enemies..

she stood in her room &
loudly talked to them....

later dat evening she told everyone
about the bugs planted in the house.....

the guys felt really stupid dat
dey hadn't been able to
figure this out on their own...

but almost instantly...
dey got a detector & caught 3 microphones ,
disabling dem...

2 days later...
she was perfectly fine...

the bandages remained though...

tehzeeb got a dress for naina
too...& didn't allow her to see it...

"kal nia...u can see it tmrw.."
she'd got around to using the nickname ....

yudi called her up dat day....
the day prior to the engagement ceremony....

"sab kuch kar diya hai maine..
just talk to samir sir once...."

"theek hai....thanx a ton..."

"all the best yaar....
i hope you get everything u desire..."

"i hope so too...
par woh bahut mushkil hai....bye.."

naina was very upset the entire day...
& locked herself in her room..
not wanting to face anyone...

"tazz..nia ne kuch kaha kya?
jab se hum hospital se aaye hai...
seedhe-mooh baat bhi nahi ki usne..."
raj was a bit tensed....

"oh..main to bhool hi gayi...
she told me to tell you dat she isn't feeling well..
aur aaj saara din madam ka sone ka program hai..."
she smiled....

"oh...theek hai....thnx..."
he wasn't completely convinced...
but relaxed a bit...

meanwhile tehzeeb wondered why she'd lied
to him....

dey're drifting away...
naina's doing exactly what i feared....
i'll have to talk to her

usse sab bataana padega...

par engagement ke baad....aaj time hi nahin hai!

she sighed...& finished calling in the other guests....

they were all being invited to
a resort in gurgaon tomorrow....

it was late in the evening....
navin & tazz were busy making arrangements..

raj had helped them the entire day....
but was free now.....

raj was curious as hell ....
& highly worried about naina....

"kuch aur hi baat hai....
something's not right....i better go check..."

he got up...
folded the paper he was reading in the living room...
& began climbing the stairs....

all this while naina was busy on the phone...
talkin to her boss....

"yes sir...i perfectly understand...
i know i've broken the rules sir.....
i shouldn't be giving excuses but....
i was hardly trained....just 6 weeks sir...."

"& dat's why you should be trained a bit furthur..."

"i agree sir...."

"yadhuvansh ka mujhe morning mein phone aaya tha..
he told me you've accepted the board's proposal
about you..& some of your colleagues..."

she sighed...
"yes sir....main...i'll report on time positively..."

"fine enough...."

she felt lost....

a sudden grief filled her...& tears trickled
down....she wiped dem off..
but dey just didn't stop...

her commitment to the head had made her
exceedingly miserable....

how she wished there was a way out of all this...
& yet..she'd taken dat very route....

the road dat would end everything...

she needed to talk to someone..
hold on to someone at this moment....

maa!!

"hello...mamaa..."
her voice quivered...

"nia!!...beta...sab kuch theek to hai??"
mothers!!...always read your hearts....

"h..haan ...bas...aapki bahut yaad...."
she couldn't control herself..
& the grip she'd tried to maintain...
broke down...

"naina...hua kya hai??
navin...theek hai na...?"

"haan ...bas..."

"bol baccha..."

"i'm missing u...."

"bas..itni si baat...paagal ladki!
main aur papa india aa jaayenge kuch dino mein....
waise bhi navin ki engagement par

she said amidst tears...
finally wiping them off......

retaining her composure....

"faayda nahin?..kya matlab...?"

"main london waapis aa rahi hoon mom..."

she smiled....faking it up for her own sake...
unaware dat raj stood at the door....
listening to their conversation...
watching her smile....
he'd heard only the last line..

he wanted to know wat troubled her..
but he wasn't ready for this...

shocked beyond words he almost fell..
knocking himself against the door...

& d sound alerted naina...

she whirled to see him standing there...
& her eyes widened in shock...

"maa..main...thodi der baad..."
she disconnected the phone...

silence prevailed for awhile
& raj stared at her...not understanding...
frowning...confused...

"mera..mera promotion ...hua hai raj..."
she lied...
"i'm going.... back ...to london..."

"w...wat's ..d truth nia?"
he asked...visibly terrified of the prospect...

he'd stepped closer to her...& held her arms...
"yeh..sab.."

she faked a smile...

"a great pay-packet...
bahut saare ...perks mil rahe hain...
it's a once in a life oppurtunity...."

"aur hum...?"

she had mastered this....

"hum...hum kya?..
c'mon raj...a little infatuation..."

"in....infatuation??!!"
his grip tightened around her....

"you can't call this love...

an anger enraged him....

yaar gazal, kitne mysteries daaloge? i mean naina's lying to raj, Tezeeb is lying to Naina and perhaps some of the others as well, there's an assasin whose identity nobody knows and a sam who's actually yudi. There's a big crime wave going on but other than that we know nothing except that it somehow involves drugs and there's that mysterious organisation that naina works for which may or may not be army intelligence. please, itna confuse mat kar yaar, don't you think it's time to clear up some of the mysteries?
