Saumya: excuse me…Miss?

Ishana: dekh, Mr majnoo peeche aaraha hai.😉

Pari turned around to see an eager Saumya coming their way. What were his intentions? She couldn't help but smile.😊

Pari: ji aapko mujhse kaam hai?

Saumya: ha. Wo darasal os din ke liye me maafee maangna chahta hu. Mazaak thora ziada hogaya.

Pari exchanged glances with Khushi and Ishana.

Saumya was dazed by the sudden change in her tone. He couldn't help but just obey her. he moved in closer to her.

Pari: (nudged her friends from behind who passed something in her hand) Or paas!

Saumya moved in even closer, getting excited.

He had a smile as he closed his eyes and just when he was elated, Pari smudged a handful of red powder paint on his face.

All three laughed mischievously 🤣 and ran away from there. Saumya couldn't understand whether to get angry at her prank or to laugh at her innocence. There was something he really liked about her and that was her eyes, because whenever she smiled, they glowed.

Canteen

Rohit, Adi, Sujal and Piyush were sat passing time, since their next class hadn't started yet.

Adi: yaar yeh Saumya kaha rehgaya?

Rohit: wahi, ja ose hona chaheeye

Saumya had enough, 😡 he got up abruptly that his chair harshly pushed back and his eyes feasted on Adi, as if he was going to pounce on him. Sujal intervened.

Sujal managed to take Saumya away before he could have begun something quite disastrous.

Saumya turned around again in order to go back to Adi,😡😡 but Sujal pulled him back and told him to ignore Adi right now.

Saumya didn't know why he didn't appreciate Adi's comments about Pari but something deep inside told him to be protective over her. Why?

Saumya was getting bored in the lecture. 🥱 His thoughts were miles away from the 'production management' and 'business ethics'. Somehow, he couldn't take Pari's sweet, smiley face out of his mind.😍

Sujal: agar tu aisa hee karta raha na, to final exams me fail hoga.

Saumya: huh?😕

Sujal: apnee shakal dekh. 😛 Bethe, bethe aise muskuraraha hai, jese waaqe me paagal ho. Mujhe to is professor kee baato me kuch hasee nahi aarahi.

Saumya blushed ☺️as if there was something deeper. At first he kept on denying that he is just fulfilling his challenge, but then he felt bad at the thought. He remembered something. He put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a pink Samsung U600 mobile.

Sujal: tune apna mobile kab badal diya, or wo bhi yu larkiyo jesa? 😲

Saumya: yaar yeh larkiyo ka hee hai. Ab pooch kiska?

Sujal: hmm. Mujhe poochne kee zaroorat nahi. Saale,😡 usne tujhe phone de diya oska?

He slid the phone to on it and then he sent an SMS:

Pari, ishana and Khushi are busy painting when Pari's phone beeps. She jerks at first because of the sudden noise, but then calmly searches for the mobile. When she found it under the pile of her folders, she was surprised. In front of her was an unidentified item. It was the same model but how did it manage to turn from pink to black? She picked it up and read the message.

Pari: hey guys, check this out!

All three crowded near the phone wondering who sent the SMS and whose phone was it.

Ishana: tu reply kar or pata laga, ye koun gumnaam hai.

Pari replied:

"WAT SUMTHING WUD DAT BE? WHO ARE YOU?"

Saumya's phone vibrated. He smiled 😊 after reading the number. He smiled even more 😃 after reading the message.

Saumya: yeh dekh, (he showed Sujal the message and Sujal just nodded in disbelief)

He replied:

All three laughed 😆😆😆 because they realised who it was.

After reading the message, Saumya nearly slipped off the bench. Sujal got surprised and immediately controlled him before anyone else noticed.

Saumya: (showed sujal the message) maana parega, yeh larki to aasaaneese phas rahee hai yaar.😃

Sujal: sambhalke, kahi wo tujhe phirse uloo na banarahee ho.

This was too much for Saumya to take. This girl was unbelievably amazing.

Pari replied:

After class, Saumya rushed out as if he couldn't wait. His heart was racing and he knew it was longing for someone to calm it down.
Pari, Ishana and Khushi were sat in the caf near the swimming pool. They were also eagerly waiting for Saumya to turn up, especially Pari. For some reason she actually enjoyed his company.

Ishana: wo dekh, Mr. Majnoo aaraha hai.😃

All three turned and saw him crossing over the bridge.

Ishana: dekh kese chalraha hai, 😛 jese kuch or dekhai hee na deraha ho ose.

Pari got a mischievous idea. 😈 She whispered it in both of her friends' ears. Then as she saw Saumya getting off the bridge, she smiled 😊 and waved.

Pari: Saaaumya! (said it in a seductive manner and then threw a kiss in the air)

Saumya was taken aback by her actions and he just kept on walking dreamily 😍 towards her when 'SPLASH'. Everything happened so quickly, that when he came to his senses, he realised he was waist down into water.

The three girls couldn't stop laughing. 🤣 🤣They gave each other high fives. Then they got up to go to him near the pool side.

Pari: tut, tut, tut, tut, tut…(giggled 😆 😆and ran away with the others)

Saumya: (just sighed and threw back) shit yaar, I love her!

Few days later…

Pari and her friends are sat on the grass in the campus grounds when her mobile began to ring. She still had Saumya's phone. After she saw it she realised who it was.

Pari: (whispered) it's him.😉

The other two laughed 😆 and urged her to pick up the phone.

Saumya: you still have something of mine.

Pari: (giggled 😆 silently) Hiiiiii Jaaaanoo!😉

Saumya: (spat out the water he was drinking after hearing that. What was he hearing?) 😳 j…jaanoo?

Pari: kyu, aapko bura laga?

Saumya: nahi, bus thora naya…

Pari: ab isme naya kya hai. Hum to ek dusre ke dil kee baat jaante hai na, jaanoo.😃

Saumya was lost for words. What was wrong with her today? Why was she so forward?

Pari: or yeh kya, 😒 aaj aapne phone kiya? Milne kyu nahi aaye? (exchanged naughty glances with Khushi and Ishana)

Saumya: me…wo…um…(nothing was coming out of his mouth) wo me kal milatha na…

Pari: kal! Pura ek din! Pata hai pure ek din me kitne ghante hote hai, kitnee minutes hotee hai, or kitne seconds hote hai. Ek din to kya, me to ek pal bhi aapse juda nahi rehsaktee jaaanoo! (She couldn't help but laugh. 🤣 It was too hilarious.👏 At that moment she could just imagine his face)

Saumya was perspiring now; he grabbed the glass of water from sujal's hand before he can drink it. Saumya gulped it down in one go.

Pari: to phir aap aarahe hai na?

Saumya: ha…mera matlab hai, thoree dair me (he put the phone down really quickly as if he had become afraid of it. Pari was acting very strange that day which didn't give him a positive vibe).


Valentine's Day

Saumya sat in the canteen staring into space. 😍 He had this unique smile 😊 on his face, as if he was enjoying something really well. Rohit, Adi, Piyush and Sujal joined him. Adi and Rohit both shared grins 😆 after seeing Saumya.

Sujal: (snapped his fingers in front of him) aakhir khaar, me shart haarhee gaya.

Saumya: kya kehraha hai tu?

Sujal: aakhir me tujhe wo hoheegaya 😛

An excited Saumya got up from his seat, hugged 🤗 Sujal and left the canteen, he couldn't wait any longer.

Pari was going home so was just opening her car.

She turned around and her heart fluttered. She was expecting him today.

Saumya: Pari, mujhe tumse bohat zaroori baat karnee hai

Pari: lekin abhi to me ghar jaarahee hu. Hum kal baat karte hai.

Pari: I'm sorry saumya, per mujhe jaana hai (she opened her car and sat in it)

Saumya: 😡 Damn it! (he quickly ran to his car, in order to follow her, but to his despair his car's battery was down. he banged his head on the steering wheel with 😡 frustration. Then he got out quickly because he knew he would be able to catch her before she exited through the college gates. On his way he ran into Rohit who was on his bike) Hey, hey, Rohit, 😃 acha huwa tu aagaya. Chal jaldee, wo nikal jaaehgee.

He didn't explain anything to Rohit but just forced him to follow Pari's black Audi.

Rohit: 😕 are tu ja kaharaha hai?

Saumya: yaar yeh aaj kal kee larkiya bhi na, 😒 I tell you. pehle to khud aage barke larko ko instigate kartee hai, or jab larke peeche parte hai to forun onse dhoore bhaagne lagtee hai. Hey! Take a left, take a left.

Rohit just obeyed. His friend was certainly madly in love with this woman, that he was ready to chase her around the city.

Saumya: kya karaha hai Rohit. Taiz chala na, wo nikal jaaehgee.

Rohit changed lanes and then took a short cut from a street, which came out in front of the traffic signal, where Pari's car was standing. As she began to drive again, Rohit came in front, which made her screech her brakes.

Saumya: Pari. Hey Pari listen to me yaar.

Pari: 😲 Saumya, are you crazy?

Saumya got off the bike, said thanks to Rohit and walked towards her car.

Pari: (tried driving again but it wouldn't start) 😡 aapkee wajese meree gaaree bhi kharaab hogayee. Ab mujhe ghar taxi me jaana parega (she got out of the car and walked off on the main road)

Saumya: (couldn't believe she kept on avoiding him) wait! Pari mujhe…Pari! Ruko to…Pari…Pari, I love you! 👏

Pari froze. 😳 She couldn't believe what she just heard; he had said the three magic words.

Pari: kounsa number hu main?

Saumya: kya? 😕

Pari: kitnee larkiyo ko keh chuke hai yeh?

Saumya: honestly Pari, tum pehlee ho. I really love you.

Pari shook her head in disappointment 😒 and carried on walking. Her heart was telling her to belive him but her brain was telling her to think practically.

Saumya: (caught up with her and stopped her) me sach kehraha hu. Pari in kuch dino se jese hum dono ek dusre se mazaak karahai the, osee ke beech, kuch aisa huwa ke mera dil, mere bus me nahi raha. Me tumse pyaar karta hu Pari. Me itna jaanta hu ke me tumhare saat apnee zindagee beetaana chahta hu.😃 Me tumhare saat bache peda karna chahta hu Pari.😃 Mene to naam bhi soch liye hai. Dekho agar larka huwa to oska naam hum Chottu Baby rakhenge,😆 or agar larkee huwee to Chottee Babu rakhenge.😆

Pari: (amazed 😲 at his intentions. He was unbelievable) abhi shaadi bhi nahi huwe, or bache bhi hogaye. Sach me! (she moved on further)

Saumya: Ruko na…

Pari: Bus! 😡 Saumya, ab or nahi. Bohat mazaak karliya.

Saumya: me mazaak nahi karaha hu. Dekho meree aakhon me.

Pari: (she could see sincerity in his eyes, but still she was unsure) mene socha tha, ke jab koi larka mujhe 'I love you' kahega to wo kuch alag hee andaaz me hoga

Saumya: to kya chahtee ho tum

They had walked up a bridge by now.

Pari: me chahtee hu ke aap wahape char ke zore se chillaaye 'I love you Pari!' 😃

Saumya: (turned around and gulped. She wanted him to climb up the iron frame of the bridge so that if one foot slips, he would be history) Yaha se?🤢

Pari: 😊 ha wahase.

Saumya: ha, ha, to isme kya hai.😎 Per sach me, tum na baree Hindi films dekhtee ho (he hesitated at first but then took a deep breath and climbed up the frame. When he looked down he saw the sea and felt a bit dizzy, but he moved his gaze back at Pari, but she was on the move again) Hey Pari! Pari stop! Pari I really love you!

Pari: to me kya karoo? 😛

Saumya: Pari come on yaar. I'm serious. I really love you!

Pari: Jee!!! (she didn't turn around or stop)

Saumya: dekho Pari, agar tumne bhi mujhse 'I love you' nahi kaha to me yahase kuud jaaoonga.

Pari: jese aapkee marzee! (she continued walking without truning. She still felt he was joking).

Saumya: Pari I'm serious! Pari!

She kept on walking when she realised she couldn't hear him anymore. She stopped and quickly turned around. She had an 😲'Oh My God' expression on her face. Saumya wasn't standing on the frame anymore. She ran as quickly as she could to see where he was, but he was no where to be seen.

Pari: Saumya! Saumya! Me to mazaak karahee thee. Aap to sach me…Saumya! Saumya! Saumya I really love you! I really love you!

Saumya: (sprang up from the underneath railing, where he was hiding) 👏 Sach!

She hugged 🤗 him tightly and for those few moments both of them got so close that they nearly became one.

Pari: aisa mazaak dubaara mat kijyega 😭 (tears welled up in her eyes)

Saumya pulled her out wiped her tears with his finger and then kissed her forehead.
