The time for their departure was nearing but Aalekh wasn't back yet. Ritu couldn't go out of that place also as she had already finished searching the vicinity.

"Where the hell is he?? Dus baj rahe hain and he isn't back yet!!" Ritu was highly frustrated now. She was pacing back and forth in tension when suddenly Aalekh dropped in.

"Idiot!! You scared me!! Kahan the??"

"Kyun?? Tumhe yaad aa rahi thi meri??"

"Plan finalize karna tha…..there are some matters to be discussed!!! Tumhara dimaag theek hai??"

"Mai sab kuch theek he karne gaya tha….Yahan ke raaston se thoda used-to hone gaya tha!!"

"Un sab ke liye Usmaan hai na??"

"I can't depend on anyone in this whole world for something that is more important to me than my life….."

Ritu kept looking at him for a while and could sense the passion in him towards this mission.

"Kya hua??" He asked.

"Thanks Aalekh!! Ab mujhe lag raha hai ki I won't have dared to reach here without your support!!"

"Bas isi ki kami thi, ab tum mujhe thanks bhi kehne lagi!!"

"Tum kabhi serious ho jaya karo please!!"

They both smiled and sat down discussing their plan-of-action for the night.

"Ye sab hua kaise??" Shouted Zaheer Khan, who was red in rage hearing his failure in searching the person who called-up.

"Janaab humare aadmi us jagah us aadmi ko dhoondhne gaye the!! Unme se ek ne mujhe phone pe bataya ki us veerane me unhe koi nahi mila par vahan ek mobile phone gira pada tha!! Lekin Janaab jaise he unhone us phone ko chua, ek dhamaka hua aur ye ushe ka nateeja hai!!"

"Acha hua!! Allah jo karta hai acha he karta hai!!"

"Par Janaab vo aadmi humare bahut kaam aa sakta tha!!"

"Jise itni bhi samajh nahi ki veeran jagah pe anjaani cheezon se dur raha karte hain, uska Zaheer Khan ke gut me koi kaam nahi samjhe…..ab jaao yahan se aur Bhaarat Sarkaar ko milne waali agli chunauti ki taiyaari karo"

The person followed the order and went with his fellows to brief them with Zaheer Khan's new plan to conduct blasts in the Kupwara region.

It was 2:45 at night when Usmaan reached the place.

"Hume Uri se abhi nikalna hoga janaab. Hume kuch aisi khabrein mili hain jinke kaaran aapka yahan rehna khatarnaak ho sakta hai!!" He informed them.

"Vo sab to theek hai magar….."

"Janaab aap gaadi me baithiye to sahi hum aapko sab batayenge!! Bas abhi ye jagah khaali keejiye"

They set out for their hunt in a jeep driven by Aalekh. As they started, Ritu turned to Usmaan, "Tum bolo, kya khabar mili??"

"Uri me blast hone wala hai!!"

"Kyaaaaa????????" Both Aalekh and Ritu said aloud and he stopped the jeep.

"Blast hone wala hai?? Tumhe kisne bola??" Came an obvious question from Aalekh.

"Sahab paas he ke Baramula ilaake me aaj dopher ko do dhamaake hue. Sarkaar ne yahan bhi Red-Alert jaari kar diya hai kyunki unka maan na hai ki aise aur bhi dhamake ho sakte hain. Halanki police ka kehna hai ki usme yahan ke aatankwadi maafia Zaheer Khan ke gut ke kuch log maare gaye hain par hume ye ek afwah lagti hai!!" He explained.

"Ye sach bhi to ho sakta hai naa…"

"Haan sahab par police kabhi sahi khabar nahi deti"

"Par mujhe lagta hai ki ye khabar sahi hai aur is dhamake ke peeche koi aur nahi, balki Raj hai!!" Said Ritu with a smile on her face.

"Tum pagal ho chuki ho!! Yahan ki har cheez se Raj kaise connected ho sakta hai??"

"Aalekh yehi to Raj ka mission hai!! Vo dheere-dheere Zaheer Khan ke gut ko khokhla karna chahta hai right?? The why can't he be associated to this? Agar tum sabkuch link karke dekhoge to tumhe bhi vohi jawaab milega"

"Iska matlab Raj Keran pahunch chuka hoga ab tak!!" Said Aalekh.

"Nahi janaab, is waqt Keran me ghusna namumkin hai!! Kadi suraksha ke inzamaat ke chalte vahan koi nahi jaa pa raha…" Said Usmaan.

"Phir to Raj zarur pahunch chuka hoga!!" Aalekh smiled and pulled-on the gear.

Rajveer somehow had this feeling that the regions where Red-Alert orders had been out would be safe and secure and the next terrorist target would be somewhere from Srinagar to Kupwara region. After years of prepration, Rajveer was finally able to make it to the Keran border. But the problem was not reaching there but getting an entry and locating the TTS (Terrorist Training Sphere) base camp which was disguised as one of the small villages of Keran and was therefore very difficult to locate amongst the numerous small villages present there.

"Raj……hum vahan kaise jayenge?? Vahan to strict checking hai!!" Naina was almost whispering.

"Shhhh………vohi soch raha hun!!"

"Soch kya rahe ho?? Car back kar lo naa………"

"Will you stop giving me these weird ideas??"

"Isme weird kya hai??"

"Naina mai car back karunga to unhe shaq nahi ho jayega???"

"Nahi karoge to unka shaq yakin me badal jayega!!"

Rajveer was thinking of some idea when a big piece of cloth kept in their car caught his sight. Their purpose was not to hide their identity (as they were already in a disguised look) but to skip checking as they were carrying some stolen ammunition. Rajveer picked-up the cloth and handed it to Naina.

"Iska mai achaar daalun??"

"Nahi………filhaal ke liye ise apni dress me ache se adjust karo!!"

"What do you mean??"

"Naina act as a pregnant woman!! SIMPLE!!"

"Captain Shekhawat kisne kaha ki ye idea weird nahi hai…???"

"Well weird to nahi hai!! Ek na ek din to………"

"Hey bhagwaan………Raj tum sach me pagal ho!!"

"Abhi is pagal ko bacha lo, koi thikana mila phir batata hun mere paagalpan ki hadd kya hai…"

Naina giggled but followed his orders. She pushed the seat back, sprinkled some water on her face to enact sweat and tears, and started as if she actually was wincing in pain. The check post officer let them go after a bit of request-session but finally, they were through!!

"Naina sach kahun, ek pal ke liye laga ki tum sach me……" He giggled while Naina gave him a loving slap.

"Aaj to tum saath nahi ho Naina, kya karun???" He said while looking at the moon.

"Mai to hamesha tumhaare saath hun Raj!! Agar kahiin, zindagi ke kisi mod par, tum akele hue aur meri yaad aayi, to bas aankhein band karke ek baar mera naam lena, you'll feel me beside you……"

Rajveer closed his eyes and said, "Naina…." And a tear dropped from his eyes.

"Raajjjjj…………." Naina woke up from her sleep abruptly, taking that name. Nandini too woke-up who was sleeping beside her.

"Kya hua Naina!! Koi bura sapna dekha??" She asked while offering her some water.

Naina gulped it all in anxiety but didn't reply as she was too lost.

"Nainaa…"

"Haan…." She was startled.

"Tumhe achanak kya hua??"

"Kuch nahi bas vo…… aap so jaaiye!!"

"Par Naina…."

"Mai ek baar bahar ghoom ke aati hun, shaayad behtar lage…..aap so jaiye, mai thodi der me aati hun"

"Theek hai, be careful but"

"Jee…" Saying this, Naina stepped out. She felt too restless to sit and relax at one place so she began walking around. All that was on her mind was Rajveer's well being. She was worried yet confident……strange combination, right??? She folded her hands in a silent prayer and that paid immediately.

Rajveer was still thinking of a way to get through the check-post when suddenly, an unexpected noise was heard and since there were no more entrants to be checked, the blocked the gate and went beside their base to check for the source. Rajveer couldn't have missed the chance and easily escaped the barrier in a matter of few minutes.

Aalekh kept driving till early morning and they reached Keran border after five long hours. Usmaan got-off midway till where Aalekh allowed him to. Aalekh stopped the car near a small village and as he looked towards Ritu to tell her to get-off, he realized that she had dozed-off. He couldn't take his eyes off her as she was looking extremely pretty this way. He shelved the windows as he realized that the wind was hitting hard against her face. His hand drew foreward approaching her irresistible touch but as he was about to, Ritu moved adjusting herself. He hit himself playfully at this action and rested against the seat. A little sound as he pushed his seat back broke Ritu's sleep and she woke-up.

"Hum pahunch gaye kya??" She asked.

"Hmmmmm…." He said with his eyes closed.

"Tumhe kya hua??"

"Kuch nahi!!" He sat erect.

"Usmaan kahan hai??"

"Chala gaya, kuch kaam tha use!!"

"Koi kaam-vaam nahi hoga…….He must be scared of moving ahead" She remarked.

"Ab chalein!!"

"Haan chalo!!"

Rajveer kept walking till he reached a market area of a small village. He was looking around, kid-of inspecting that place when a small child approached them with the menu.

"Kya laaun saab?"

Rajveer smiled and asked, "Yahan ki khasiyat kya hai chote??"

"Aalu ke paranthey makkhan maarke….le aaun?? Aap baitho..." The child cleaned the table with a cloth resting on his shoulder.

Raj sat down. He was somewhat contended today on his mission heading towards success but still, the storm in his was on….

Rajveer and Naina were stuck in a telephone booth during some riots going-on around. Naina was highly scared and was holding Rajveer very tight. Rajveer tried consoling her but she was hell-struck by the incessant violence that she had been witnessing these days.

"Raj mujhe bahut darr lag raha hai!!"

"Naina mai hun naa yahan………don't worry Naina you have to be strong……"

After about five hours, they couldn't move, as the violence shattered, Rajveer tried to get up and see around but couldn't as Naina had fallen asleep in his arms. He kissed her on her forehead and adjusted her in a more comfortable situation. After a while, he too fell for a nap.

Early morning, Naina woke-up with the sunshine falling straight in her eyes through the half broken door. A smiled conquered her lips as she saw herself safe and sound in the arms of her love. She looked at Rajveer with great affection and as she moved her hand closer to his face, he woke-up.

"Tum kab jaagi??"

"Abhi abhi……" She smiled.

"To phir uthoooo………"

"Kyun??" She asked in a childish tone!!

"Kyunki is telephone booth ka maalik yahan aa gaya to humari vaat laga dega!!"

They giggled and got-up. They stepped out and walking a bit far, the found a food stall.

"Raaj…" She said pulling his arm.

"Kya??"

"Mujhe bhookh lagi hai!!"

"Naina!! Badi ho jaao please!!!"

"Mai kya karun?? Tum mera khyaal he kuch aise rakhte ho ki mann he nahi karta bade hone ka……" She said while they were walking towards the stall.

"Khayaal!! Mujhe to Navin pe reh reh kar gussa ata hai…"

"Kyunki unhone hume mila diya??"

"Uske liye to uski aarti utaarunga mai zindagi bhar, but for this danger that he has put you in!!"

"Danger?? Vo kya hota hai??"

"Achaa!!! Kal raat ko aaina dekhti to pata chal jata danger kya hota hai!!"

"Acha acha ab bolo kya khaoge??"

"Jo tum khila sako, because raat bhar tumhe apni baaju pe sulane ke baad mai khud to nahi kha sakta……" He said playfully.

Naina, without wasting a second, sat next to him.

"Isme kaun si badi baat hai, pleasure is all mine Captain Sahab"

Rajveer laughed at her innocence.

"I'm so happy today Raj, itne dino baad tumhe haste hue dekha hai" She smiled and planed a peck on his cheek.

"Ab bhookh nahi lagi??" They giggled and had their breakfast. Rajveer fed Naina and she fed him.

The boy served him the breakfast and Rajveer had his meal imagining Naina by his side all the time.
