Part 14:-

Gems – priceless – valuable – money – loads of it- smuggling?? These thoughts rushed and an approximate idea happened to form. Could the terrorists amalgamate themselves with the import-export industry office holders? Especially when historic articrafts were considered? Angad quickly glanced around to confirm that he wasn't under anybody's line of sight and was about to call Kripa when he felt this hand vibrating. It was his cell. He had received an anonymous message – "Don't even think about it!! Am waiting outside. You're being scrutinized. Check out the spectral cameras along the corners." His sharp gaze landed on the minute black gadgets wheeling around noiselessly. Hmm so there was a strong security hold too. Pretending to check his time, he glanced at his titan watch while dexterously he snapped a couple of photos from his cell. Then having a last glace at the azure glazed velvet coloured mattress, he walked away as though it was nothing other than a priceless scabbard that was just like others to be admired and appreciated.

"Their actions are being surreptitiously carried out, Angad." She looked at Angad and was worried. He had been quiet the entire day. All she had seen him doing was meddle with his watch. "Angad, I think that we are just looking at one facet of this entire mission. There's more to it than what just meets the eye." Still, there was no response. He was deep in thought. She could almost feel the wheels churning. She called out his name a few more times but in vain. There was not even a scintilla of movement that revealed his present condition of train of thoughts. Kripa stared at his face. He was an Adonis – a beautiful creation – no doubt. But right now he was annoying her. 'When does he not?' she thought with a wry smile. Finally giving up all hope, she walked up to him and tried to push his bulky frame off the diwan, again all her efforts went down the drain. He hardly budged. Then she had a churlish thought. She softly tip – toed towards him brought her face near his ears and yelled "You Nincompoop!!!!" And then pulled back satisfied but to her utmost astonishment all she did receive was grunt. Before her mind could devise another devilish idea, she felt herself being pulled down on the diwan under his well – sculpted body with his brown, daring eyes piercing hers and searching mysteriously for some unfound treasure that simmered behind those hazel curtains. The shock evident, he slowly came down and lightly kissed her glossy lock away from her face and whispered "Before you overact, let me tell you that we are under surveillance."
The confusion that clouded in her brain was masked a placid expression which suddenly broke into a concrete, unseen classical expression that was quite indefinable.

He had heard her all right. But he did not answer – true. But the atmosphere conducive to this situation made him more relaxed adding that Kripa was there along with him. He was senior to her by 4 years, but he had to agree her unadorned, natural stark beauty was enough to make men swoon. He had noticed the looks the opposite gender had been giving her when they were down at the casino, putting up a faade as to having a blast. Her attire which was a rebel to that night's declared protocol had smitten most of the guys. Having dressed in simple dusky blue jeans with a white top adorned by a corrosive belt made it a killer combo. He knew he himself complimented her just fine and knew that his one glance had stolen many a hearts away. But despite all this, he despised anyone who dared even danced with her. He knew the thought was quite ludicrous but it kept nagging him. And he knew that Mr. Prithvi Bose was not exactly in his favorites list tonight. The way that ignoble oaf had danced with Kripa with his hands around her waist was igniting the tempestuous emotions in his heart. Supplementary to this, while sitting at the bar, he had received a phone call which informed him that there were photographic cameras attached in their suite. These cameras just pictured the on goings but were not technical enough to record the sounds as well relieving him of a tweeny little bit of tension. He hadn't told this to Kripa till now. Another added worry was who was the one who had texted him earlier in the museum. So many occurrences and untimely surprises all together. Yet he was calm and tranquil led. He did not even tell Kripa about what he had observed at the historic house and his formulated speculation. Yet, he had a feeling that he was not the only one who was hiding stuff. Kripa's exuberant behavior added fuel to the fire. She seemed more enthusiastic into striking a conversation with him. His thoughts were suddenly broken when he felt the admonishing vibes Kripa was beginning to emit as he held her under his firm grasp.
--

She felt her hands move up his jacket to push him when he suddenly scooped down, and kissed the delicate region near her ear. Her gasp was muffled when she felt herself in his arms and then in a moment on the bed. Her eyes grew wide when she saw him unbuttoning his jacket. His eyes censorious of her every expression revealed nothing of his own passion, tension, rage and also jealousy. Her eyes darted to the night shade next to her and then she understood his intention. He had spotted one of the bugs near the bed and was planning to obstruct its view by placing the jacket in its path. She forgot that she had been holding on her breath for the past couple of minutes. She felt their actual relationship change from its hard core base of pure dislike to something more pleasant and attractively but grudgingly strong.
The flaxen shirt and the pant made him look more rugged and hot!!!! As if under a daze she heard him tell her to change into something more apt and desirable as they were going to take a walk down the beach and she followed his word without imposing an argument.

He felt her soft and warm hands being enveloped by his hard, strong ones; their fingers playing with each other as they walked down the beach under the moon light with the high tide wetting their feet intermittently as they strayed unwaveringly. They had so much to express and tell the other about the mission and they knew that they would. But they first wanted to enjoy the serene and calm ambience in each others presence, the very realization taking them off-guard.

Part 15:-

"I've got information about their deals. I've wired it to XYZ. I guess he must have enlightened you with this development" said Kripa breaking the silence. He muttered a soft 'yes'. Both of them knew this was the most important case ever and required their focus and attention to the utmost degree. "And don't ponder so much over that trivial matter. I was the anonymous message dispatcher. I was keeping a track on your whereabouts through the help of a visual device tracker." She was waiting for his outburst. Kripa had given away all she knew and now he was going to mince her up.
And unsurprisingly it came. "Are you nuts? U could have messaged me using your original name too. You know how complicated stuff could have become. It almost forced me to believe the existence of a third person who could either have been along or against us. Seriously, I am the senior here. How could you even dream of tracking my movements? And you are just a fresher in this field. Seriously I am beginning to agree with Kinkle. His opinion about you is truly taking shape. Nothing but foolish amateur! God!! The way you behave with strangers and seniors is uncouth." All his frustration, wrath and insecurities were slowly showing signs. Kripa didn't respond. She strangely was quiet.
Suddenly, Angad's cell rang. Without informing he hurried past, hailed a cab and then whoosh there was absolutely not even a scintilla of his proof of him being with her. Kripa was shocked. He had just disappeared. She guessed that he would be back later and dejectedly walked towards their suite. She had kept an eye on him without his knowledge. But even he had hidden stuff.

Flashback:-

"Hello, Angad Arun here." Angad had attended the call.

Kripa had just showered when his cell had rung.
She almost made her way out onto the plush carpeting of the room when she sensed her name being brought up. Freezing her movements, she quietly heard their conversation.
She got to know that during one of Angad's trainee courses in California Angad had been driving with complete fervor one night. During that time he had unconsciously swerved and hit a car which skidded precariously before falling onto the river. He had managed to save the woman- a Mrs.Sharma. The woman was in her mid-forties with warm features. She had pleaded with him to let her fake her death. When he reluctantly agreed, she vanished. But before that he got to know that she had a young daughter whom he was asked to take care about. But then after that incident he had tried hard to trace the young lady's daughter but all in vain. Time made him focus on other things. But occasionally, the guilt kept gnawing at him. His later deductions and research made him believe that the woman was a cheat and had used his good side to get her work done.

Initially, Kripa realized that the woman could have been her mother. Her mother was alive. Emotions started choking up. Angad had saved her. How she wanted to thank him but then towards the end she was shocked at the outcome. Her mother- a hoax. That wasn't possible. Her first thought was to walk upto Angad and demand an outright explanation plainly.
But then she decided that he didn't know that she had been the young girl. She was going to give both of them some time.

Therefore to ensure his safety as she sensed danger lurking near him, she had kept an eye on him. The entire night Angad did not return.

The next morning looked pale and bleak to her. Barely having slept a wink, she waited.

Next day,-
She received a call, "Madam, There's unfortunate and grave news. Your husband is no more!!!

-------------------------------------------

Shrill sounds of ambulances and silence could be heard. There had been a bomb blast. Her unsteady balance accompanied by disheveled and broken appearance earned sympathy. She was shocked. She was void of all feelings. But hot tears had been flowing unscrupulously. She looked at the charred body in front of her eyes. Her hands, trembling with horror touched the blood stained chest. The face was completely blistered and scarred almost concealing the true individuality. But the wallet divulged his identity. Her detective instincts came into play. He was a maestro in his profession. He couldn't be dead. But the sight before her eyes was a standard functional truth of the happening reality.

Before she could absorb all the happenings, His body was taken away.
