PART 15

Rajveer could not believe his ears… his hand dropped to his side. He felt as though the world had come to an end. He got up, completely unaware of his surroundings and walked out of his room right to Naina's. It seemed as the obvious thing to do bcoz this was the time he needed her the most. He walked like a zombie and reached her room. He knocked on it. Naina and Pooja were both shocked at the arrival of such a late visitor. Who could it be? Pooja got up and opened the door. The identity of the visitor surprised her.
Pooja- Sir…. Aap?
There was no reply from Raj no sign of comprehension.
Pooja- sir…. Sir?
She gave naina a quizzical look. Naina got up from her bed and came to him. The look on his face was not right.
Naina- Raj… RAJ….. KUCH TO BOLO…...
She shook him now alarmed. Pooja also looked scared and quickly ran out to the boys hostel to wake up the boys, since she thought she would be needing them now.
Naina on the other hand dragged Raj inside the room and made him sit on the bed. His "no response" attitude was scaring her a lot and had brought her close to tears. She tooj some water from the jug into her hand and threw it on his face shouting at the same time. This seemed to snap him out of his daze. He looked at Naina with sudden moist eyes.
Raj- Naina….
Naina- haan raj, bolo kya hua? Say something plzzzzzzz
Raj soundlessly removed his wallet from his pocket and opened it. In the photo compartment there were 2 photos occupying half of the compartment each. One was of Naina in the freshers ball and the other was of Riya sitting on Rajs lap, both of them laughing. He stroked the picture lovingly……
[FLASHBACK>
Raj is getting ready to go to KMA. His vacation period is over and his new posting was in KMA to protect the triggers as well as to teach the young cadets. Riya is as usual helping him pack up and chattering away continuously. Suddenly she picked up his purse and opened it. She looked at the photo and frowned. It was her photo when she was 10 years old.
Riya- Bhaiya, you are getting old and forgetful.
Raj had switched off and was not listening to her so when she jabbed him hard in the ribs he snapped back to reality annoyed.
Raj- Kya?
Riya- This (holds up the photo) this picture is 5 years old bhaiya…. I am not 10 any more I am 15. I don't even look the same. And u still have not changed the picture?
Raj- (wearily) does it matter? It is still you only na. And besides…. You look so cute in this photo…. So innocent, unlike now……
Riya gave him an annoyed look and ran to her room and came back with a picture taken few days back of her 15th birthday. It was a very cute picture in which she was sitting on raj's lap when he said that she will always be a little baby for him. So she immediately had gone and sat on his lap and said : "this is where lil babies sit and don't say I am heavy" that had made both of them laugh.
She put it into his wallet and said: there…. That looks better. Aur ise mat nikalna, even if u get a new girlfriend.
Raj- I am not going there to make girlfriends u no.
Riya- yes but all the female cadets and faculty members will not be able to take their eyes off you, will they? And if u find one of them attractive…..
Raj rolled his eyes and Riya laughed.
Riya- promise me bhaiya.
Raj- ofcourse I wont. U know that. U r the most important person in mmy life sis.
[PRESENT>
The thoughts of that day still brought a smile to Rajs lips. No, he had not removed the photo but had folded it to accommodate Naina's. Her smiling face, ever joyful, sweet, bubbly, cute, witty, charming……. His darling sister Riya…… he felt his eyes moisten even more. He looked at Naina gravely.
Raj- Naina….. un cheep logon ne Riya ko kidnap kar liya hai…. She is in the custody of the spies…. And they are asking for the triggers as ranson to free her…..

omg now wat will happen.. poor raj.. he must be so helpless now.. i hope nothin happens to riya..
