Jaspreet right clicks on the picture and saves it on to her hard drive along side the several other pictures she had of Lakshya when he was in the newspapers or magazines or school papers. She smiles to herself, she may not have kept in touch with him or met him for that matter but she kept tabs on him, she made sure he was ok all the time through some people, and celelbrated when he celebrated, little did Lakshya know, his older sister Jaspreet probably knows more about his life than he does himself and little does Jaspreet know that the brother she is so proud of wants to ruin her
Part 34
The next morning, Jaspreet wakes up, does her normal daily things but today is different, as Sujal isn't the one taking her to work, nope in fact no one is, Jaspreet is taking her brand new car which Sujal and Kashish gifted her for her birthday. She takes the car to work, parks it and goes inside the cafe. She goes behind the counter and puts her apron on and is about to go in the front when someone covers her eyes from behind
J - who's this?
The person doesn't say anything but continues to cover her eyes with one hand while holding Jaspreet's hand with the other, the person leads Jaspreet to a table and slowly un covers her eyes, on the table, Jaspreet is shocked to see a cake with "Happy Birthday Jaspreet" written on it, Jaspreet smiles and turns around to face the person
J - you remembered!
?? - of course...why would I not?
J - why didn't you call yesterday Robbie?
Robbie (Karan Patel) smiles and holds his ears
R - sorry, I was held up yesterday.....but anyways happy birthday
Jaspreet hugs him and then puts her hand out
J - my gift?
R - later...I promise
J - ok, oh my gosh, guess what mom and dad got me
R - what?
J - a car!
R - no way...
J - yes!
R - no.....what will happen to us other drivers while you're on the road
Robbie grins and Jaspreet smacks his arm, the manager sees them both
M - hey you two! get back to work
R - sorry sir....we will right now
The manager walks off shaking his head, Robbie puts his hand out
R - after you
J - why thank you.....
Jaspreet is about to go ahead when Robbie nudges her and runs in front, she groans and goes after him. Both go to the front and begin taking orders from various customers, Robbie goes back behind the counter to give the order to the cook, while he's thee he watches as Jaspreet smiles and laughs with a customer, he leans foward on the counter and rests his elbow on the counter and his chin on his hand and continues to watch her. Another employee Nisha sees him and shakes her head and joins him by the counter
N - if you love her so much just tell her
Robbie's head jerks up and sees Nisha, he then stands straight
R - what? me love Jaspreet..no way...I was just erm...
N - cut the crap Robbie, we all know you love her
R - am I that obvious?
N - even more so....
Robbie smiles and puts his arm around her shoulder and walks to the back with her
R - if I'm so obvious.....why hasn't she noticed?
N - because you joke around a lot....and besides you two have been friends since you started working here....she probably thinks you're being nice....you should tell her
R - and if she rejects me?
N - at least you'll know.....heck you don't even know how she feels about you....at least when you tell her....you'll find out
R - yeah maybe....
Robbie glances over his shoulder and sees Jaspreet, he smiles and begins to stare, Nisha shakes her head and walks off leaving him there. Robbie continues to day dream and doesn't realise when Jaspreet stands next to him, Jaspreet looks at him and sees him gazing in another direction, she looks in the direction and sees no one, she looks puzzled so she taps his shoulder but Robbie doesn't budge so she smacks his head and Robbie stops day dreaming and looks at Jaspreet and frowns
J - what were you staring at?
R - me? nothing...just..erm ....do some work will you
Robie runs off while Jaspreet still looks confused. Later on the work day is about to finish, Jaspreet takes her apron off and hangs it up and puts her jacket on, she goes outside when Robbie comes
R - so Miss new driver, can I get a lift?
J - sure
R - wait...can I drive?
J - Robbie...
R - please?
J - fine
Jaspreet hands him the keys and gets into the passenger side, Robbie gets into the drivers side and drives off, while driving he continues to steal glances at Jaspreet while she's not looking, Jaspreet stares out the wndow and realises Robbie isn't heading to his house
J - Robbie?
R - yeah
J - where are we going?
R - its a surprise
J - Robbie, you know I hate surprises.....tell me
R - no
J - please
R - just be quiet and let me drive
Jaspreet folds her arms and sulks, Robbie watches her and smiles before taking the next left and parking the car near a park. Jaspreet gets out and folds her arms at him
J - well care to tell me now?
R - please.....just come with me
Robbie holds her hand and takes her with him, in the park there is a stage with many people gathered, Jaspreet looks at him
J - what's this?
R - a concert
J - really? whose?
R - mine
Robbie grins while Jaspreet looks shocked
J - really?
R - yeah!
J - wow that's so cool!
R - come, there's a spot reserved for you right at the front
Robbie takes her hand and leads her through the crowd to the front by the stage, she gives him a hug before he disappears away. Jaspreet waits, soon enough Robbie comes on to the stage with a guitar, dressed in a blue see through shirt and black jeans, wearing a microphone head set on his head. He waves to the crowd and looks at Jaspreet who grins widely
R - Thank you for coming everyone! This is my very first concert...and its dedicated to my best friend in the entire world, she knows who she is
Jaspreet's grin grows wider, she looks around the crowd and spots Karan and Kiran who both come to her, she hugs them both
J - mom and dad let you guys come here?
Ka - alone? no way...look
Karan points and Jaspreet sees Sujal and Kashish standing at a side waving to them, she waves back then faces the stage with Karan and Kiran. Robbie waves to them. Robbie begins to play the guitar, looks at Jaspreet and begins to sing Dheka (By Ali Zafar)

Robbie looks at Jaspreet smiling away, he imagines bringing her to the stage to dance, he gets nudged by a band member and comes back to reality

Robbie finishes the song and everyone cheers for him, Robbie looks at the crowd

The crowd yells "yeah!!" and cheers for him to sing more, Robbie looks at Jaspreet who nods her head in agreement, so he whispers in his band members' ears and plays the guitar and sings Masty (By Ali Zafar) Crowd cheers and applauds

Robbie looks at Jaspreet dancing away, he grins and goes forward and pulls Jaspreet, Karan and Kiran on stage who dance with Robbie. He grins and sings while staring at Jaspreet

The crowd roars with applause, Robbie gives a small bow then pulls Jaspreet in for a hug, when he realises what he's done he lets go and hugs Kiran and Karan so that Jaspreet doesn't suspect anything. After Robbie has performed a few more songs, the concert ends, Robbie helps pack things away while Jaspreet waits by the car, Robbie comes and they both get in the car and Jaspreet drives Robbie to his house
J - that was an amazing gig Robbie, you'll be famous soon enough!
R - yeah I know
J - you won't forget me when you're all big and famous will you?
R - hey come on, how can I forget you....
Jaspreet looks at him and he grins
R - I mean, you're my best friend.....its impossible to forget you
J - of course...so see you tomorrow
R - yeah.....see you
Robbie gets out of the car, Jaspreet drives off, Robbie breathes a sigh of relief that Jaspreet didn't understand what he was trying to say, he shakes his head and goes inside. Meanwhile Jaspreet arrives home, she goes inside to see Sujal and Kashish but finds everyone gathered in the living room looking worried, she looks at Kashish
J - mom, is everything ok?
K - there's someone here to see you
J - see me? who?
Kashish moves aside and Jaspreet sees Lakshya sitting down on the sofa, Jaspreet smiles widely
J - Lakshya.....
L - so you know who I am
J - of course...you're my....
Jaspreet goes silent remembering Lakshya doesn't know anything
L - why did you stop? why didn't you say that....I'm your brother?
Jaspreet looks shocked
J - you know?
L - yeah...dad told me everything
J - is that why you're here? to find out if its true?
L - I know its true...I'm here because I want to stay with you...get to know you
Jaspreet looks at Sujal and Kashish then back at Lakshya not knowing what to say. Sujal leaves the room and Jaspreet goes after him
J - dad...wait
Sujal stops walking by the stairs and turns to face her
S - the choice is yours...he is your brother
J - but will it be ok with you and mom? and Karan and Kiran....
Ka - Di its ok with us....
Jaspreet turns to face Karan and Kiran, they both smile
Ki - yeah Di.....he is your brother and if he wants to stay here to get to know you then we have no problem
Ka - yeah....if he wants he can stay in my room
J - dad....
S - like I said its your choice
Sujal kisses her forehead and goes upstairs, Jaspreet goes back inside and stands by Kashish
J - mom will it be ok...if he stays for a few days?
K - if thats what you want then sure...
J - thanks mom.....Lakshya does Ganga mom know you're here?
L - yeah she does....
J - ok then...you can stay here,....in Karan's room, is that ok?
L - sure
Jaspreet smiles and gives him a hug, while hugging Lakshya has an evil grin on his face.
