One week later all of Jaspreet's things were moved back into Sujal's house, the adoption formalities were completed, Sujal and Kashish were both happy.
Part 11
~*~4 Years Later~*~
Tiny footsteps are heard running across the hallway, two small hands are shown opening a door, pigtails are seen as the little girl pokes her head in to the room. She creeps inside, goes to the window and opens the curtains and starts jumping up and down screaming
??? - mom!!! dad!!!! wake up!!!! mom!!! dad!!! wake up!!!!
On the bed two people jump up in fright, they are Sujal and Kashish, they both look towards the little girl, Sujal groans and puts his head back on the pillow whereas Kashish gets out of bed and pulls the little girls ear lightly
K - how many times have we told you not to do that Jaspreet!
Kashish lets go of her ear, her naughty eyes are shown, then her cheeky smile then her face. Meet 4 year old Jaspreet Garewal, daughter of Sujal and Kashish Garewal, a spoilt girl who gets everything she asks for
J - well if you two woke up earlier then I wouldn't have to do this!
K - it's only 7 am!
J - yes but if I don't then you and dad will stay in bed all day romancing
Kashish's mouth opens wide, she puts her hand out to hit Jaspreet but she runs on to the bed and hides under the duvet
K - see! look at your daughter Sujal! look how much you spoilt her! kaise baatein kar rahi hai badmash ladki
Sujal smiles and cuddles Jaspreet and plants kisses on her cheeks
S - chill Kashish
K - what chill? are you going to let her talk like that?
J - oh no mom! please not another lecture
Kashish comes forward to hit her again but Sujal scoops her in his arms, jumps off the bed and runs out of the room with her, Kashish chases them all over the house and Jaspreet giggles all the while as it is nothing new to her, it happens almost every day. After much running Kashish gets tired and sits on the sofa in the living room and sulks, Sujal stops running and whispers something in Jaspreet's ear, he puts her down and Jaspreet goes to Kashish and stands in front of her holding her ears
J - sorry mama
Kashish's heart melts and hugs her daughter and gives her a kiss
J - ok, now hurry up and get changed
Kashish nods her head, Sujal puts his hand out and pulls Kashish up, they both walk upstairs together
K - she's so spoilt
S - she's our only daughter
K - no trust me...when we have more kids, you'll still spoil her, in fact you'll spoil her more than them!
S - so what Kashish? what's the point of making all this money if not to shower on your kids? and plus along side being very very shararti our angel has her values as well because we have them
Sujal cuddles Kashish and kisses her lightly, then both go to have showers and get changed. Soon they're all seated at the breakfast table, Sujal and Kashish have got ready for work and Jaspreet is ready for nursery, they begin having their breakfast when the doorbell rings, Jaspreet jumps up
J - I'll get it
She runs outside, Sujal and Kashish are eating when Jaspreet screams
J - Ganga aunty is here!!!
Jaspreet comes running inside with Ganga following her holding a cute baby boy, Kashish hugs her and holds the baby
K - Lakshya is so cute
G - yea he is
S - how are you Ganga?
G - fine thanks
S - and Sahil?
G - he's good
J - mom!!!
Ganga looks to Jaspreet who is pulling at Kashish's kurta
K - what is it?
J - I want to hold Lakshya!
K - you're too small yet
Jaspreet frowns and goes to Ganga
J - Ganga aunty, tell mom to let me hold him...please!!!
G - come on Kashish, after all he is.....
J - he's what?
G - he's like your brother
J - yes so give me mom!!!
Kashish shakes her head and makes Jaspreet sit on the chair, she places Lakshya into her arms while supporting his head
J - mom....his eyes are like mine
K - yes....all babies eyes are the same
J - but I'm not a baby
K - oh trust me, you still are
Kashish then hands Lakshya back to Ganga
G - Kashish can I ask something?
K - sure go ahead
G - I was thinking...instead of having Veena aunty pick Jaspreet up from nursery, I could, that way she can play more with Lakshya
Kashish looks at Sujal who nods his head, Kashish smiles
K - sure Ganga, I'll phone mom and tell her you'll pick her up
G - great
Jaspreet gets out of her chair and kisses Kashish and begins jumping around in happiness
J - I get to play with Lakshya....I get to play with Lakshya
K - enough! go and get your bag and papa will drop you off to nursery
J - ok mom
Jaspreet runs upstairs and gets her bag, she runs downstairs and Sujal picks her up, he gives Kashish a kiss on her cheek and Jaspreet copies him, they say bye to Ganga and get into the car, Sujal puts the seatbelt on her and then drives off
J - dad
S - yes?
J - why don't I have a brother?
S - you do
J - who?
S - Lakshya
J - no....a real brother!!! that stays at our house
S (laughs) - erm....because your mom is too busy
J - why?
S - ok enough of this...you'll learn when you get older
J - you always say that
Sujal smiles at his daughter's innocence, the nursery arrives, Sujal gets out and gets Jaspreet out and takes her inside, before he leaves he kisses her cheek and she kisses his. He then gets back into the car and drives to work. Meanwhile Kashish has arrived to the beauty parlour where she works, she goes inside and stands next to her colleague and friend Kumkum
K - hi girlie
Ku - hey Kashish, you ok?
K - yea you?
Ku - I'm good, and hows your little terror?
K - getting worse day by day.....no she's fine
Ku - so when is she going to become a big sister?
K - Kumkum! I can barely take care of the one.....
Ku (laughs) - and knowing Sujal he's going to want a cricket team
Kumkum laughs and Kashish hits her, both calm down and begin working, as they are working they both gossip
Ku - did you hear, Mahek and Rishi are getting married?
K - what! but he's a flirt!!
Ku - I know yaar....but she says she loves him
K - oh god, she will ruin her life, lets hope he suits himself out after marriage
Ku - yes
K - talking of marriage....when are you and Sumit....
Ku - I don't know, he's too scared to talk to his parents
K - so you talk to yours
Ku - he's the guy! he should come to my house with the proposal
K - come on Kumkum, what century are you living in, if you want to marry him tell your parents and they will go to his house with the proposal
Ku - maybe...
K - no maybes.....you will do it now, go on phone aunty ji now
Ku - now? no! let me go home and do it!
K - fine but if you don't then.....then....I will!
Ku - I'll kill you if you do
K - and i'll kill you if you don't
Kashish smiles and continues working, later it is 1pm, Ganga arrives at the nursery to pick up Jaspreet, she waits outside and sees her running
J - hi aunty!
G - hi sweetheart
Ganga kisses her cheeks
J - where's Lakshya?
G - he's in the car, come on lets go
Ganga holds Jaspreet's hand and takes her to the car, she helps her sit in and puts the seatbelt on her and gets into the drivers seat and drives to her house. When they get there Jaspreet runs around the house
J - this house is so big!!!
G - you say that every time you come here
J - where's Sahil uncle?
G - he's at work
J - do all daddies go to work?
G - most of them do, and so do some mommies
J - like mine!
G - yes...like yours
J - when is Lakshya going to wake up?
G - he's only a baby yet so he needs lots of sleep, you were the same when you were small, you used to keep m...Kashish up all night
J (giggles) - mummy says I keep her up all the time now aswell
G - do you? that's not very nice
Ganga plays with Jaspreet until its 6pm, Sahil comes back and sees her at his house
Sa - Ganga!
G - yes?
Sa - what is.....she doing here?
G - I picked her up from nursery
J - hi Sahil uncle!
Sa - hi...Ganga i'm going to freshen up, get some food ready
G - ok
Sahil goes upstairs, Jaspreet watches him walk, she goes to Ganga
J - aunty
G - yes?
J - why is Sahil uncle's walk the same as mine?
Ganga is speachless, she looks at Jaspreet
G - because.....
