She is so angry with the prank that she is now insulting Atty. If we didn't know about her insecurities, she would not be happy with her right now.

He got her to admit she was jealous.

Atty smartly turns every argument around to the marriage peoposal. She is still holding on.

Atty just said he has everything. Has she realized what that meant? She and Dhru are part of his everything.

She is so afraid of his parents' rejection. She doesn't want Atty to lose his parents.

Weekends in his place were the closest to a vacation, she usually slept in and took long showers and painted her nails and did beauty masks and ate and drank and watched TV in bed

The kid basically just showed up for hugs and kisses and left her alone

No arguing about taking a shower. No pulling book away from him and yelling at him, no arguing over why he wont finish breakfast lunch and dinner. The whole mood changed when they were at Atty’s no angry outbursts no adamant stick in the mud behavior

“We were going for a swim? Want to go?” he peeked in when she was rubbing some exfoliator on her feet as she watched something on the bedroom TV listening to the sea waves

“What are you doing?” he walked into the room

“None of ur business” she growled hiding her feet under the stool she was sitting on

He walked over and peered curiously, as she fought to grab the jar from the floor he beat her

She was embarrassed

“I have a call with Legal at 7 AM, can I go at 8 tonight I will do all the kandha aloo buying and head home” she mumbled rubbing her hands with a lotion

“Stay the night” he said firmly

“Then I have to go wear my uniform, I maxed out my no uniform days or am close”

“What the heck kinda place is that” he was irritated

“Believe me if I could work at a place where I could show off my fashionable clothes I so would”

“Send me your resume” he said thoughtfully

“I will not work for you” she said hotly, looking up from her perch

“U don’t have to repeat it” he muttered

“Don’t crack some sick joke either” she warned

“Do u know people that can find me a job?”

“I might…” he sighed

“I don’t want favors” she stood up primly

“Umm… I have enough since you are paying the feel already”

“OK I just want to go home by 7, with Dhru, next week is mine”

“And move out when your parents are in town?”

“I am going downstairs to watch him swim”

“I am going to take a shower and then a nap”

She knew it was a insufficient

He did wake her, when Dhru found a 12 year old he wanted to race with under a coach’s supervision

The volunteer coach lived on the 6th floor was known to Aatreya

“What do you want to eat for lunch, its 3” he whispered in her ear

They created magic in bed, they were both so good for each other

“I will just go back to sleep” she went on her belly and buried her face into the pillow, trapping his arm that was going across her chest

“He has to be picked up at 4, we can do it one more time” he whispered sitting up a little and nuzzling her bare back

“Lets do lunch” she said

“In a minute…”

He ordered Chinese, they ate without an argument, and she packed her things and cleaned up his room

“I have two business trips lined up in the next month”

She nodded looking out her window

He drove quietly

“No sass?” he turned to her to ask

“Nope… I am tired” she smiled looking away

“Sorry, I felt like I was stocking up for the whole week” he lowered his voice to talk about their intimacy

“Umm.. that’s fine” she was evasive

“Thanks”

She turned toward him and grinned

“Nothing…”

“Unless u want to come by every evening for a few hours” he muttered still in lowered voice

“Do it while u take ur US calls?” she muttered

“No I will open an hour or two”

“U can come over if you want… why should “I” come over” she bristled

“Oh sure… I will starting tomorrow evening or tonight”

“No… not tonight… Atty… no”

He stayed the evening and the night

She felt like she was in love, him being close was heady and exhilarating

They stayed off each others’ flashpoints

She did her video therapy with Sameena, he took Dhru to go buy lunch box snack items and veggies for the week

He had help for everything in his flat, here he was just a real guy

They shared the divan at night

“I am pretty easy going in case you didn’t notice” he teased as he held her in his arms

“Only when u want to get ur way”

“No, our way”

“Dhru doesn’t fight with you, he hates the sight of me, every time you drop him off on a Sunday evening we spend until midnight clawing at each other

“He might not want to choose one parent”

“I cannot just agree to be with you. I am so afraid” she whispered

She held his face in her hands “Everytime I think long and hard… about you I realize you deserve someone way better than me” she whispered tearfully “I told Sameena I could not be happy because I would be reminded of how you could have been with someone wonderful and uncomplicated, and that is so unfair to you”

His eyes opened wide in shock

“Can you imagine… no u cant imagine… I mean this is more than a fairy tale I tell u, meeting the guy you hook up with one time and he turning out to be hot and sweet” she chuckled

He gently wiped a rivulet of tear and flicked it with a pained expression

“You don’t need someone in life long therapy. You always have to be on ur guard. I am so unreasonable and broken, you will never know where you stand”

“Stop” he pulled away

They sat up exasperated

“Don’t go down this path

“I selfishly never think about ur parents, I am only angry at them for urging you to do better in your choice of women, but I would say the exact same things to Dhru u know”

“No u wont” he growled angrily

“I don’t want him to live in fear, constantly second guessing when his wife is going to flip”

“Shut up” he whispered angrily

“OK may be I am not there yet… but u know… after u told me about my Mum’s visit I almost lost my marbles”

“I am not doing charity”

“U are…. U just don’t know it”

I hope this is last argument before their marriage. Atty is able to convince her that it’s for himself that he wants to be with her.
