Put the woman out of her misery Atty. Tell her already.

Mru can not think straight. He proposed to her, still wants her to commit. Why would he be dating some other woman?

Atty is baiting her by not answering her questions and she is completely getting pulled in.

What will it take for Mru to trust Atty? So far he has not let her down. She started to trust Mendy pretty quick, so why not Atty?

She was so anxious about why Aatreya was dating this woman Mallika she did not bother to pay attention when she saw the couple hang out together and laugh and joke

The daughter was beautiful a long wet pony tail swung side to side making Mrunalini jealous, she wanted long hair when she was little, but there was no one to braid it

Mallika proprietorially borrowed a hair dryer from Aatreya’s bathroom and dried the girl’s hair and braided painstakingly

“I told her your Mum’s going to chew me out” Sharam grimaced

“If she listens and wears a skull cap why will I”

“The coach SAIDDDD no skull caps” the girl scowled

“What are their names?”

“Prateek and Pranati” Mallika smiled

The men were in the kitchen cooking and sipping drinks

Mrunalini wondered when this couple got divorced and how are they so amiable

“Its great to see the kids so happy” she mumbled

“they are… occasionally” Mallika yanked her daughter’s hair gently

“Atty always wanted daughters I think” Mrunalini nodded sadly

Now he got a readymade family

Prateek Pranati and Dhru and Mallika

“Ur hubby on his way?”

Mrunalini continued to believe Mallika and Aatreya were a thing

She wanted to ask how Aatreya is so close to Sharan

How did he befriend his girlfriend’s EX? Sharan clearly seems to like Mallika AND Aatreya

She found a chance when he was bent over a pot in the kitchen balcony plucking basil leaves

“Why do you grow ur own basil?” she demanded

“Do u cook Italian a lot?”

She leaned on the rail

“OK whats going on?” he coaxed

“That’s a lie”

“How do you know sharan?”

“I work with him” he stood up and leaned

“Oh? “Umm” “OK”

“Anything else”

“they are just great…. I wonder why (they got divorced)

His lower lip twitched, he knew exactly what she was assuming, he wanted to tell her the truth, but this was too juicy to end it so soon

“I wonder too” he nodded staring into her eyes

“Well they have a beautiful daughter” (U get to be step Dad now)

“Yes, I heard she is a mean swimmer”

“The kids are great” she hung her head

“Dhru seems to like Prateek”

“That’s a good thing I guess” she nodded

“Shall we eat?”

“Dhru cant eat pasta” she said smugly

She wanted him to flounder and and be unprepared

“I prepared gluten free just the way he likes it”

“Oh”

“Whats bugging u?” he stepped closer

“shes watching” she stepped back

“Ehh” he shrugged smiling

She tried her best to snoop all through dinner how long have they known each other, who met who first, how frequently they meet

The kids table was a few feet away (THE MAN WAS ORGANIZED)

There was a food fight and so not much meaty conversations could be had

“If I ever divorce I want such a cute friendship” Mrunalini decided forlornly

Mallika complimented her dress, Mrunalini had tried out 7 before settling for a halter neck summer print with a denim jacket and gladiator flats

Mallika was dressed in jeans and a flowery chiffon blouse

Mrunalini felt bad for dressing up but decided Aatreya was going to buy her great clothes when he flew abroad for work

Mallika herself worked for some data insights firm in some senior role

“Good match, banker and data hound”

“Mru… more parmesan?” Aatreya broke her trance

“Umm.. no…” she shook her head

“Ur son is the cutest, he showed me every anime book her has” Mallika laughed and explained which ones to Sharan

“I never read as a kid, I ended up working for a bank” Aatreya joked

“Heyyy I read a LOT I love numbers too” Mallika was pretend offended

“I read a lot” Mrunalini muttered

But in the cacophony, nobody heard her

The kids played video games, Mrunalini alternated between sulking in a corner and pretending to have a good time, Aatreya played scenes from old Bond movies

She went into Dhru’s room to ask him to pack up to go

Once…

Twice

Around midnight… when they all rose up to go

Mrunalini was shocked

“Maybe he has the kids?” she thought

“It was soo great to meet you” Mallika hugged her warmly

“Where are you going?” Mrunalini asked like a fool

“Home… Sharan will keep me up all night now” she chuckled

“Not in that way… “ Sharan laughed

“He calls every person in his family that lives overseas and I watch him talk”

Mrunalini was confused

Dhru was asleep so she went in to check on him

“Are they married?” she texted Aatreya

“I believe so” he texted back from the elevator on the way down to see them off

She was ready to destroy his house at that point

What a slimy evil devious SOB…. He had actually pulled off a giant prank

She got to know that sharan is his coworker, its their kids and all. But she was hell bound to believe that atreya and mallika were the couple! Seriously mrunalini! 😆

Its easier for her to think of atreya leaving her than marrying

reminds me of Sosy days when we competed to be first.

This fight is gonna be sweet one and Atty is winner all the way.

Had fun while the prank lasted.

Will hopefully get what is wants and might also get Bonus of Mrunalini saying yes.
