Proposal
begins from 26th July's precap
Pallavi, dressed in her night suit, was sitting on her side of the bed, fidgeting with her hands. Raghav came from the washroom, wearing his night suit, and noticed Pallavi's worried expression. He sat beside her and snapped his fingers in front of her face. She snapped out of her trance and looked at him.
"Itna pareshaan kyun hain tum, Saree Ka Dulkan?", Raghav questioned.
Pallavi took a deep breath and replied, "Kal tin din khatam hone wala hain."
To her surprise, he replied with a rather calmed tone, "Haan, toh?"
"Raghav, tumhe thori si bhi tension nehi ho raha hain?"
"Nehi. Kal jo hoga vo kal dekha jayega. Tum aaj se hi kyun itna pareshaan ho raha hain?"
Seeing him so relaxed even at times of such stress, she couldn't help but smile.
"Abhi ekdam perfect hain!", Raghav exclaimed with a smile.
"Kya?", she asked in confusion.
"Tum pe pareshani nehi, smile suit karta hain. Abhi smile kiya na tumne, iss liye abhi sab thik hogaya."
She took his hands in hers and said, "Raghav, tum jitni meri parwa karte ho, shayad hi koi karta hoga. Tum saach mein bohot sudhar gaye ho."
He removed his hands from hers and laid his head on her lap instead. Pallavi started caressing his hair as he replied, "Sudharna toh tha hi kyun ki tum mereko jitna pyaar karta hain na, utna koi nehi karta."
Pallavi was touched by his statement. He held her right hand which was on his shoulder and continued, "Mere liye pyaar ka definition...Pallavi hain."
Before she could even give any reaction or say anything in reply, he pulled out a simple yet beautiful diamond ring from his left side and held it in front of her.
"Saree Ka Dulkan, phir se shaadi karega mujhse?"
Saying she was shocked would be an understatement. She couldn't even imagine such a wonderful proposal in her wildest of dreams. There was no unnecessary decoration, preparation, or long monologue. They were just in their bedroom, simply talking with him lying on her lap. The moment itself was so simple and personal.
"Tum na bhi bol sakta hain. Main phirse zabardasti shaadi nehi karega tumse."
"Ghamandi Rao, tumne soch bhi kaise lia ki tumhe mujhse itni jaldi chhootkara mil jayega. Kahi nehi jani wali main tumhe chhorke. Ab ek bhi aur bakwaas baat matt bolna, chupchap ring pehnao mujhe. Ardhamainda!" She scolded him and held out her left hand.
He couldn't ever be happier. He slid the ring onto her ring finger. She admired the ring while a flashback played in front of her eyes. One day, he had forcibly tried to make her wear a ring so that society won't question their relationship. Whereas now, he was giving her a choice to reject but she wanted to wear that ring.
"I love you, Raghav...." She leaned down and planted a peck on his forehead.
