“How can you actually go do this Papa?” Naina was furious

“Your situation and Viveka’s wedding are two different things beta” Akash was trying to be reasonable

Naina’s behavior was extremely poor

“In that case I hope you will not mind if I don’t go to the wedding” Naina loved to speak in hyperbole

“Chalo theek hai” Anu wore her earrings viciously

“It’s this whole family is so beholden to the Parashars”

“She LOVES him” Anu paused to turned around and yell at Naina

Dadi was home, the last couple weeks had been fraught with tension, with wedding prep at Bua, Dadi demanding she be dropped off and picked up every few hours, rekindling the feud with Garima

“Nobody cares what happened with me”

“I TOLD YOU BETA” Anu walked over to her and hugged her

“No don’t lie Ma, you told me how all rich people are bad and horrible” Naina pulled away sadly

“I am sorry”

“I see whats going on here, you just don’t want a good life for me, you only want it for Veev”

“Aisa nahi hai beta”

Akash was shaving in the bathroom with the door shut

“IT IS” Naina stormed out in a huff

Anu sat down weakly

Dadi waddled in

“Shaadi ki baat karne ja rahe ho yeh aise ro rahi hai, soch lo aaj jaaogey ki kal”

“Amma hum log choose nahi kar sakte unhoney bulaya hai, hum ladki waale hain”

“Tabhi main kabhi saalon pehle, ek beta ho jaata to theek tha, ya phir tum do ke baad operation karwa leti”

Dadi chose the worst moment to insult Anu

“Amma, mujhe beta nahi chahiye na hi 2 bache, mujhe CHAAR ladkiyan chahiye” she said quietly and picked out a saree, and slammed her cupboard door

Viveka came in wearing a lovely dark pink Jamdani silk cotton saree

“Suit pehen leti beta” Anu urged

Viveka blushed, she knew why she wore a saree, she was asked to wear one by raanav

“I like this one” she mumbled

“Nayi hai?”

“Hmm”

“looks lovely” Anu gave a troubled smile

Anu did not tell her what Dadi had said

Dadi lay down on the master bed to watch the goings on

“dadu khaana kha rahe hain aap jaogey nahi baithne?” Viveka urged

“Mujhe bhaga rahi hai?” Dadi sat up

“Nahi to” Veev smiled

Akash stepped out and froze, Viveka looked lovely

“Arey wah, aaj to”

“You like it?”

“Abhi hamari kaun poochhta hai” he teased

“Papahh” Viveka squealed pushing up her glasses

“Contacts try to kar leti beta kal eyes would have gotten used to it” Anu mumbled

“Abhi dekho KITANA bada chashma pehani hai, phir bhi ladke ne pasand kar liya dekho, abhi saasoo ma se milne ja rahi ho to utaar do na?”

“Saree utaar doon?” Viveka mocked

“Mooh phat kahin ki, arey apna chashma”

“I am glad u understand English Dadi, Ma aur meri baat phat se samajh aa gayi aapko?” Viveka didn’t let up

“Who to yaha leti is wajah se hain ki aapki baat sun paayen” Akash was not happy

Dadi sat up angry

“Savi ko hum bataye rahe, tum kaisi baat karte ho humse aaj kal”

“Savi to bete waali hai main thehra gareeb beti waala ma”

Dadi couldn’t take it, she got off the bed and walked away

“Now I know where Naina gets the storming out routine “ Anu cackled

Viveka sat on the bed and sighed with a “Ufff”

“YOU need not worry”

“I will just say, please don’t argue with Mrs Parashar when she insists she wants a big wedding”

“But I DON’T MA”

“Can u understand how SHE must feel?” Anu sat down and rubbed Veev’s back

“Kya matlab

“If the Arya Samaj wedding idea was the groom’s I would be devastated Veev. As a parent I WANT to see my kids have a nice wedding” Anu spoke softly

She was a fine leader Akash realized

“You cannot take that away from her beta”

“I am not taking it away, he wants to get married next month (November)” “How is it possible?”

“OK fine a big wedding in a month is not possible but Dec 15 ko Harshu ki shaadi hai, Jan 15 ko Rakshit ki, I am sure we can manage a lovely wedding around Feb 15”

Viveka tried to control her self conscious heat that spread over her face

THREE MONTH WAIT? No way!!

“Ma… Feb?”

“Kyon theek hai na Akash?”

“Arey Satyenji keh rahe the Raanav Dec taq isko honeymoon par hi lekar jaane ki baat kar raha hai”

“Deewana” Anu cursed getting up picking up her saree to go change

Akash laughed out loud

“Ma ki gaali bhi badi filmi hai”

“Feb is too late Papa” Viveka spoke honestly like she always did

He smiled wistfully and reached over to hug her as he bend down to pick up his phone from the night stand

“Jaldi hai aapko bhi?” he whispered

“Umm.. I guess”

“Its fine to acknowledge Naina nahi hai yaha” he whispered

Viveka’s turn to laugh

“I think who to aapko aaj ghar lautne nahi dega” Akash piled on

“I haven’t seen him in 3 weeks” she sighed

“U better talk about rules of engagement today, I expect to see you every other night for dinner” he hugged her breaking down

She stayed in the warm protective embrace

“He is fine, he said I could come over whenever, he is not patriarchal Papa” “He said “Why are u even telling me this” “I told him I am not asking permission” “he laughed”

“Ma ko mat kehna, but, stop by for lunches at my office on the day u don’t plan on visiting home for dinner” he wiped his tears and winked

“Sounds like a plan”

“Plus I get to hold the baby first” “I want a grand daughter” “bata diya aapko”

The thought of having Raanav’s baby sent her heart soaring….☺️

The family is going over for dinner. Guess Smrita will attend out of pressure. It will be interesting to see how Anu and her face off.

Naina is still holding out on her spoiled brat routine. Viveka did her due by reaching out to her even after bratty behavior. Its Naina's turn to support her sister now.

Akash is adorable!!!

Dadi needs to be put in mounam 🤣

Even If Smrita and Anu ask for Feb date, I think these two will go ahead and get married in Nov only. ☺️

Ek aur Nisha?

It's said of dreams that when time is on your side shining, you live the dream . Wish We could say that of Dadi. She is revealing herself to be a nightmare you can't wake up from or should I say Such kind of dadis are like living the nightmare .

Must have been some dracula kind gothic creature in her previous birth and then some vitta kurai thotta kurai kind of carry over to this janam making her live like a vulterine looking out for a live prey all the time.

Let her address the four children why ! to her son. I have always held the opinion that unless you call upon the grandmas and grand dads to live with you and help raise the children ( which by the way is unfair loading on their time) , it's pretty indecent talking about your adult children's sex lives and personal choices!!!

Ek aur Nisha?

With Dadi, even mounam is not sarvartha sadhagam!! Her mounm could be those killing you with silence kinds.😆! She's so bitter, wonder why?!!

Naina is not entirely wrong though. She did get a raw deal initially for going around with Inder!! Where as Akash has been particularly more receptive of Viveka's relationship, the basic comparison grounds being similar. I guess it majorly depends on the maturity you show as adult children that has the parents feeling more comfortable endorsing it or not!!

That said, her grouse against her parents or Inder or Damijas or Parashars shouldn't play victim to her sister's love marriage!!
