I am just glad Viveka did not tell Naina about the conditions with which she married Raanav.

So Raanav babu came running to his in-laws house to check on his wife 😳

I find it extremely cute when Vi refers to Raanav as the "Parashar kid"

Well, he is here to pick her, after knowing she had been crying after meeting Naina. I hope he doesn't blast on Naina if they do come face to face. It will make matters worse between him & Vi aur Dadi will get more fodder to chew.

Anu is so happy to see the married version of Veev. It sometimes scares me how she & Akash will react if Vi & R decide to act on the non-written agreement they spoke about when they got married.

Hello Nisha. New obsessed reader alert! You have some insane story telling skills. I have been totally absorbed. White marble will not be what it was before ;)

Your story was first recommended to me by @canapoem and then by other friends here. I see why they have all been gripped! Thank you all <3.

The way you etch your characters is compelling, and relatable. Each one is shaped by their circumstance of birth, their nurture, their level of exposure to the outside world, yet it is the different ratios between the variables that make them fascinating. That, and the dynamics between them. And the way those change.

Other than the obvious, I adored the trajectory of Satyen and Aakash’s acquaintanceship / friendship. There was something just so charming about it.

Awesome! THANK YOU SO very much!! Thankyou @canapoem for bringing more and more people to the story otherwise I would just reside in a dark, not so well lit nook of this vast Forum😳

I just observe people all around carefully and note down interesting things mentally and bring them out when I etch characters. Plus us Indians generally are so open with showing our emotions its easy to craft Indian characters😆

I would fail miserably crafting goras, since they are so inscrutable in general.

I might be totally off, but just MO

They didn't like the way they behaved, especially Naina. Hooking up with him in Jaipur was frowned upon, but Anu & Akash didn't really make a big deal of it as normal parents would have. It was Inder who broke up with her; and that too because she was establishing her rights even before they had formally acknowledged their relationship. Then she decided to elope with the same guy who broke up with her, without even informing her family. To make matters worse she use Dadi as her ally 🤔 If Inder's image is tainted in front of her parents, Naina is the only one to blame. I am sure if Inder approaches the Mathurs for Naina's hand, they would accept it, keeping their prejudices aside, because they love their daughter and want her to be happy? But where is that damn proposal in the first place? Naina is barking up the wrong tree. The issue is not that her family doesn't accept her choice, but that her choice isn't serious enough (or doesn't have the guts) to accept her as his wife. She is using her family and Vi as her punching bag. Naina is selfish, not because she does what she wants, but because she expects everyone else to do what she wants. She had no complaints about her parents favoring Vi, when she was supposedly an underdog or dating a “nerd”. Apparently all her insecurities came out when her sister got a proposal from the Parashar kid, who btw hates her.

To her credit, Naina did make some valid points about her Dadi. Regardless of what the Mathur ladies do, Dadi will always find ways to tarnish their image. So they should stop thinking about log kya kahenge, coz (apne) log already bohot kuch keh rahe hain. But she shouldn't be using that as an excuse to live her life recklessly. She herself admitted that her stupidity costed her her job. Every action has a consequence. This conversation today explains Naina's actions, but it doesn't justify them. She is not even remotely sorry for any of the things she said or did. She is jealous of Vi for all the things she got without even trying, while her plans were royally screwed. I wish Viveka can see the real reason behind her sister's bitterness. She should stop mollycoddling Naina and make her realize how unreasonable her behavior is. Or even better, just leave her to be herself. She will come around when she realizes that no one is running after her.

Great analysis. True! But Naina is human like all of us. Many of us are so so squeamish in accepting our role in any screw up. We just tell ourselves its everything but us. Naina is like us

Viveka too, we dont judge our siblings harshly, we are quick to judge everyone else. Mostly we handle our siblings with kid gloves, every time we address a crack we crave for the past and fear for losing the future

It's left me shaken as I process this. I look at this chapter more like IQ and EQ and how people react/ behave/ process. Emotional, intellectual, academic intelligence . The intellect that Naina perceives as fact to hold a grudge that Viveka got dealt a better set of cards. She's tantruming rebeling but it's years of pent up grievance . The hurt is feeding the hurt.

If we understand it from naina's POV, there's no reason for her to get along with Raanav. No love lost. He does look at her as is she's a parasite looking to live off others. Viveka is walking on egg shells when it comes to Naina at the parashar house. It's a house Naina frequented more ( clandestinely) and today she doesn't have an invite from her own sister. It's super awkward whatever be the reason .

While Naina has to give allowance that Viveka can also allowed to be in her La la land ( just like she was when it was rockets and moon with her Inder ) I would like Viveka to get Naina to that house and accord her better respect given the circumstances. It's only fair. Does Inder stop frequenting the parashar house because he had a forbidden affair with Naina? Does Raanav look at Inder as of he's a worm living courtesy his wealthy support system?

Naina does not have a proposal from Inder. My point is .... is he even worth the wait! If I were Naina, I would go for a change of place, away from everything, away from Inder, her parents, her sisters to process accept that she loved and she lost! Acceptance is half misery management .

Naina's biggest lesson learnt in life will be when she accepts that one can't buy happiness

What a beautiful analysis Kalpana!

True! I agree, Naina feels extremely humiliated and to find her own sister married to the man who is the chief perpetrator, Naina feels ambushed. She realizes Viveka can never be objective anymore. However wrong and selfish Naina is, we have to accept Raanav is a hypocrite. He married a woman from a family he so detests.

Since he is wealthy he never has to explain why. Its like he plugged his nose and married Viveka because he was attracted to her and found her to be immensely smart

All your characters feel so real because we can relate to each of them at one point or the other. That's what make this story so interesting ❤️😊
