There was nothing wrong in Nitin questioning Tapan. Like Parul said, he gave the lecture. And like he said himself, he has to eat crow.

What I found wrong is Nitin's approach to the whole thing.

Nouf, did you catch soufiyum sujatayum? Watched it on prime movies! For an offbeat movie, loved that new guy! Oh my! Dev Mohan! What a handsome dude! New dude on scene ! His eyes and his voice !! I googled up on an actor after ages right after watching him!

If you haven't don't miss the movie... slow paced but very good. Music and songs are❤️❤️. BTW he sings too. Ahamdululillah and vellaripravu songs are on loop for me now.

Big or small?

Parul was beyond upset the whole evening

She kept prodding "Hua kya?" inaudibly through eye contact to Tapan

He just breathed or sighed and did not divulge much

Vyas asked a bunch of uncomfortable questions

Already the Acharya kids were held to a different standards since they were orphaned so suddenly 12 years ago

Now all the drama with the adult siblings was drawing more attention

Bauji as usual lived in his own world and did not ask too many Qs

Amma was insanely curious and inquisitive

Parul was weary and exhausted by the time dinner ended

Amma wanted to talk about Tapan's wedding before Bauji and her left the next day

That was another can of worms

She didnt know how to respond

There was no contact with the Grovers

The mother had showed up to berate and insult them earlier in the afternoon

But to talk about "aage ki baat" was nothing less than deadly

"He knows Shubhra and I have... umm.. lets say he knows" Tapan swallowed

Parul clamped her mouth with her palm

"OMG"

"Usne AAPKI koi baat sun li"

"how do u know?" Parul ranted

"Because how else? I havent spoken much to the guy"

"Did he see you both leave Shubhra's office?"

"Umm.. no... he prolly heard Shubhra and you chattin in the kitchen"

"KAISE?" Parul shouted

"I dont know Di.... he has his sweet sweet revenge now. I am a weak man and I have capitulated"

Shubhra was dying of shame

"Umm"

"No this is not about you" Tapan said amused

"Isne Nitin ko shaadi ke pehle bahut sunaya jab woh ek din Kusum ko apne friend ke ghar le gaya AFTER they left for the evening

"Oh?"

"You know Tapan... or u shud... he says some things he shudnt and does things he shudnt" Parul was accusing

They walked in silence for a while

It was a crazy feeling for Shubhra to be listening in on family politics like this

In her family nobody made her privy to gossip, her mother controlled flow of all info

Her brothers couldnt care less

That reminded her she hadnt texted about the ring yet

She immediately sent the pictures over

"I deserve it" Tapan said glumly

"Aise mat keh yaar"

"Maybe I was a little envious when he got engaged before me and took it as an opp to display my mirth"

Shubhra was startled by his honesty

"Tumhari tarah koi nahi hai" Parul teared up when she heard his confession

"U know me Di I am not like him, things have worked out for him, he is not even 26 and married already"

"You found Shubhra" Gagan patted Shubhra's back

"I... thanks..." Shubhra smiled

"Hum sab weak aur flawed hain... samjhe beta?" Gagan smiled

She was not much younger but he loved to be a patriarch Shubhra realized

Gagan turned to his wife

"Dekha kaise use kiya flawed"

Parul laughed

"I saw that"

"Seekh raha hoon bhai aapse" Gagan nodded satisfied

"Amma ko mat kehna please aaj jo hua Mrs Grover ke saath"

"Arey nahi yaar"

"We have to let people know" Tapan mumbled

"Tum batao shaadi kaise karogey" Parul offered

"She has to decide"

Shubhra felt the fluttering

"Nothing to see here... We are just chillin.... IAM GETTING MARRIED... I am being AKSED WHEN"

"Oh boy oh boy!"

"Holy crap"

Her mind voice laughed and danced

"I know" she whispered inaudibly

"What?" Tapan squeezed her hand

"I am just thinking this is surreal" Shubhra mumbled For his ears only

"Me having a dysfunctional family?"

"No, me getting married"

"You WERE going to with Pawan" he reminded

"Umm yeah... not the dude I wanted" Shubhra giggled

"Arey wah" he laughed softly

They had slowed down to flirt

"Tum chale jao usko lekar shaadi ke baad staying here is not a good idea" Parul told Tapan as the couples walked

"Thats silly"

"Nahi beta sahi keh rahi hai" Gagan nodded

"Jiju hamesha ke liye to chhup nahi sakta, what if they try to hurt you again"

The look on Shubhra and Gagan's face made him cringe

"I am sorry but... I dont know I take that back"

"I am sorry " Parul told Shubhra

"Its fine" she nodded

"Mandir wedding or big wedding?" Tapan asked

"I wanted to say BIG" her mind voice prodded

"Umm"

"Mandir mein karni hai?" Parul asked

"Is big OK?" she said through dry lips breathlessly

Parul smiled joyously "Mazaak kar rahi thi" her eyes glistened with tears making her eyes sparkle like jewels

They hugged and had a mini family reunion

Nitin froze in front of them, they quickly pulled away from each other

"Khushi ki baat hogi" he said grumpily

"Aaja ek hug de de" Parul invited

"Bhai ko bacha honey waala hai?" Nitin's lashing landed on point

Is he trying to mess up with tapan or is he feeling jealous of them bcoz first he thought himself being the blessed one as he got married when tapan was not having any normal kinda life known, then his elder brother dragged their newly wed title.... And now he is becoming the centre of attraction for the whole family....

His words felt like, are u overtaking me in fatherhood as well?

Tapan is tasting his own medicines.....

Now this is going over the top.....what this guy wants he himself don't know.

Already there are lots of issues in front of them to resolve for getting married now Nitin is unnecessarily creating a new one...

What he wants??? Does he want tapan to say sorry to him for whatever he told him earlier. Then just say that to him and make him say sorry and finish this topic for once.

Nitin will start a war if shubh gets pregnant b4 the wedding

Theirs is not going to be a bed of roses.... flow of conversation and things said in that heat will have to be time and again apologized for. It's going to take a lot out of them with the wedding nearing. Weddings bring out the good mixed with the not so good.

- such honest confession if made to his younger brother , can also knock the wind out of his brother's sails. His younger brother would not have much leg to hold on to his peeve if he comes outright and says yes I crossed a line there Nitin but it was more out of concern.

That said, Nitin would have to apologize for hundreds of things he has said and done. Drama doesn't stop here though. He catches them all taking a stroll sharing a group hug and feels Oh I am the outsider now . He feels a clique is already formed where him and his wife don't belong . Parul is again going to do a double take !!!!

Yep! confessing that apology to Nitin could actually pull the rug off His feet. Nitin won't have much ground to stand on and keep sulking for long.

Kindred spirit

"Khushi ki baat hogi" Nitin said grumpily

"Aaja ek hug de de" Parul invited grinning ear to ear

"Bhai ko bacha honey waala hai?" Nitin's lashing landed on point

"Nahi" Tapan shook his head grimly tucking his hands into his shorts pockets

Shubhra was beyond embarrassed

"Nitin please ghar chalke poochho aisi baat, plus she is RIGHT here" Parul tried to stay calm

"nahi bhai ne to mujhe kaafi lecture sunaya" Nitin's voice revealed his hurt

"i am sorry I did that to you. I might have been jealous everything was working out for you" Tapan spoke flatly trying not to let his voice crack

Nitin was taken aback

He had certainly not expected his brother to say that

"Umm.. aap aur jealous?" Nitin growled

"Kyon? Nahi ho sakta kya?"

gagan Parul and Shubhra watched the interaction in sheer shock

"Nahi, woh kaam to mera tha" Nitin reported dejected

"Pagal hai tu"

"Umm.. bura to zaroor laga jab aapne mujhse aisi baat ki" Nitin accused

"Tumhari har baat jo mujhe buri lagti hai main kehta hoon?" Tapan was now angry

"Main aapki tara nahi hoon na" Nitin was prickly

"Woh baat Di ko tay karne do" tapan was vicious

"Ruk ja beta" Gagan squeezed tapan's elbow

The nightly walkers looked on curiously while trying not to look

"Hmm" Tapan nodded taking a deep breath

"Aap to beech mein mat pado" nitin warned Gagan

"NITIN" Parul yelled causing a couple to stare openly

"Mujhe har baat par tokte hain"

"MUJHE keh rahe the bewaqoof" Tapan was mad at him for hurting Gagan

"Wohi to AAP nahi samjhe, KEH to AAPKO rahe the par matlab to inka mere se tha" Nitin's eyes glinted maliciously

"Abhi to chup ho ja" Tapan warned

"Tapannn" Shubhra pulled on his arm

"AAP ko to maza aana chahiye chhotey bhai ki class lag rahi hai" Nitin mocked Shubhra unnecessarily

"Nitin hum ghar ja rahe hain Kal baat karenge" Parul began walking dragging Shubhra

"Mujhe aane se mana kar rahin hain?"

"MAIN? MAIN?" parul walked up to him

"Mere in laws ke saamne tumne meri izzat utaari, Amma ne dekha jaise tum bhaage ho"

"aur chillao aap, inke saamne" Nitin waved at Gagan

"Dushman NAHI HOON beta" Gagan pleaded softly adjusting his neck/arm brace

"raat ke DO baje taq bhi bhai nahi aaye, miya biwi SO rahe hain, main NAU ka SAWA NAU kar doon," Nitin's voice cracked

"ghar chalo please" parul whispered

"Bhai jab US ke liye nikle unke saath chal pade, mujhe EK baar lene nahi aaye station mein jab main Bangalore mein padh raha tha"

"Tumhe pata hai Arya kitne mushkil se hui aur kitni chhuthi li maine colic ke wajah se"

"Arey MERE SAAMNE AAP Bhai ko lakhon bhejne ka waada karte aur mujhe sirf Rs1,000" Nitin turned and started walking away

"NITIN" tapan sprinted

"Nahi" Nitin pushed him away

Small events of disagreements, and rifts over how he was disciplined had turned into a full blown fissure

gagan looked distraught

"I am sorry" whispered Shubhra

Parul nodded as they walked home sadly feeling none of the joy they had felt when Shubhra had wanted a big wedding

Tapan didnt return for an hour

Shubhra fidgeted in the living room not knowing if she could leave

Parul and Gagan were fighting, hissing at each other

Unfortunate and distressing, Raksha Bandhan night the brothers were bitterly fighting and accusing their only caregiver who was almost a Dad to them the last 10 years

tapan returned

"chalen soney"

"Nitin kahan hai?"

Nitin felt devalued and hurt. gagan and Tapan were natural friends, Gagan didnt have to try and Tapan received that gift spontaneously

The small talk camaraderie was missing from the beginning between Nitin and Gagan

It continued to feed the perception of rejection in Nitin's mind

"Kyon?" tapan was petulant

"He was so upset

"Tameez nahi hai usko" Tapan sat down and rubbed hsi eyes

"He is HURT" shubhra whispered feelinga sudden connection to Nitin

Tapan opened his eyes and looked at her piercingly

"This is NOT about you" he whispered

Parul came out

"Chai peeyogey?"

"Nahi" Tapan stood up

"So jao yahin, andar woh air mattress hai"

"Nahi" "chalo" Tapan urged Shubhra

"Jeeju kaise hain?" Tapan enquired gruffly

"Kal baat karenge" Parul said calmy

Tapan wrapped an arm casuallya round Shubhra's waist and steered her

"Chalo"

"hmm"

"Don't say a word" he warned

The couple left

Nitin is shutting himself away from the family as he always thinks himself being an outsider. Every time, he is finding one or the other reason to prove he is not being loved or cared by his siblings.... He lost his parents when he was very young... May be the age gap between him and gagan made it difficult to connect with gagan. But the sad part is he is taking his siblings love and especially gagan's care for granted.... Sooner he realises his words the better
