When he finally reached his hotel, he didn't have the strength to even kick off his shoes. One look at his face, and anyone would think he was a girl. His cheeks were caked with tears and the huge bruise on his hands showed how he had tried to relieve his pain. His hair was ruffled and his jacket had a huge rip on it. Memories like flashes of a camera started going through his head until he thought he would go insane. He didn't know what happened, he didn't know how his life turned out to be like this, but he did know something.. he would turn psychotic unless he stopped dwelling so much on the past. After laying awake for some time, the last thing he saw before falling asleep was Naina standing in his doorway.

'Good evening, Pooja, Ali.' Alekh yelled at the top of his lungs, his voice carrying quite a few octaves of cheeriness.
They both raised an eyebrow towards him, and he seemed a bit embarrassed with his over-cheerful nature.
'What happened, Alekh?' Ali was curious, to say the least.
'Maia.' He replied, still in a dreamy state. But a second later, he realized his mistake as questions started erupting like a volcano.
'Maia? Who's Maia?'
'Is she your girlfriend?'
'Does she have a full talk time?
'Did you send her a SMS?'
'Is she pretty?'
'Did you fall in love at first sight, like I did with my Sony Ericsson?'

And he jerked awake as the thought settled in his mind. Naina? What was she doing in his hotel suite? He pinched himself to make sure he was awake, and then he heard the discreet clearing of a throat.
He jumped.
'NAINA! What, might I ask, are you doing in my room?'
'Umm.. well.. you see, actually--'
'Save it. Did you come to check, Madam, whether I had died or not? Sorry to disappoint you then, but your curse didn't work out.
She shivered remembering what she had said previously.
'You know,' she said in a voice of forced calm, 'I wish that you would drop dead right now.'
'Yeah, about that, I'm sorry.' She stuttered. 'I-I- I shouldn't have said that to you.'
'Well, madam, what is done is done. And pray tell, how did you find out where I was staying?'
She smirked, 'I called Major Bhargav.' She said simply, as if it explained everything.
He didn't reply.
'Well, that's what I wanted to say. I'm sorry about that Captain.'
'DON'T CALL ME THAT!' he shouted. It was too much for him now, each and every word of her reminded him of Ritu.. he genuinely thought he was going mad.
'Pardon?' she managed to stutter out.
'Yes, Madam, please don't call me that.'
'What, Captain?' she smirked, playing with him, not realizing the implication of his words, 'You're a Captain and you should be called one, Captain.' She rolled 'Captain' over on her tongue to irk him.
But he had had enough, his anger had reached an insurmountable level. On the spur of a moment, he lunged forward and slapped her hard on the cheek.
SLAP!
'DON'T EVER CALL ME CAPTAIN IN THAT WAY.'
Not being able to control himself, he hit her again with the backside of his hand, his metal ring clinking against her teeth. She didn't even have a chance to react before the cool metal clashed against her skin, knocking off a molar.
'DON'T TRY TO MAKE FUN OF ME. GET OUT OF MY LIFE FOR EVER.
And then he kicked her shin with his feet, making sure she broke at least one bone.
'I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT RESPECT, NAINA, SO GET OUT BEFORE I HAVE THE URGE TO KILL YOU.'!
And then he hit and slapped her again and again until they both fell exhausted and fainted the ground.
Preview for Part 9
'You are in love, Rajveer Singh Shekhawat, and you're in love with someone who's not with you right now. I can see the pain in your eyes when a couple walks past you. I can see the anger in you when someone mentions anything about a girl. You love her a lot, so much that the love is slowly eating you away'
