Meanwhile, by the corridor near the medical room, the gang continued to give a shocked expression while,

Vi (bitting her teeth) - Rohaaannn!!!
Ro - He placed a bug on her pendant and secretly listened to her conversation.
A (angry) - And that's why you were that scared all along?
Vi (trying to manage) - I thought it was a hidden camera okay.
A (angry) - That's not the point.
K - You should've complained, Vidurshi.
Vi - I was going to complain. But he did this for Siyali. Aur mainey Siyali ke liye complain nahi kiya?
P (surprised) - Matlab tumney jaakey Gautam sey hi poocha? Why he did this?
T (angry) - You did that? Are you a stupid, Vi?

Vidurshi looked down at the floor with a guilty expression while her friends shouted angrily. Having a strong feeling to defend her,

Ro - That was stupid... But kind of brave.

As Rohan complemented her, Vidurshi lifted her head up and smiled at him,

A (angry) - You're smiling? Tumhe yeh nahi laga ki tumhe humey se kisiko bathana chahiye? And I'm sure you didn't exactly "tell" Rohan. As always he would've found out on his own. And Rohan? You didn't find the need to tell this to anyone?
Ro - She sure didn't want anyone to know. So I don't think it would have been right of me to go around telling.
Vi (murmuring) - Thank you Rohan.

Angela was losing her mind hearing about all this,

A (angry) - Are you serious? You saw how worried we were. Tumhe bathana chahiye tha. What were the both of you thinking? Vidyut, why aren't you telling anything?

They all turn to look for Vidyut who was missing from the gathered up gang. They turn back to see Vidyut standing alone with a blank expression. Vidurshi gets up from the parapet and walks in front of him,

A - Vidyut?
Ro - Vidyut?
Vi - Bhaiya?

The gang stood around him, waving their hand in front of him when,

Vd - I'm gonna kill him.

Vidyut said with an angering rage seeing which the gang moves one step behind,

L (funny) - Mathlab Warrior High sey ek aur jail jaaney waala hai?
All - Lucky!

All of them shouted at Lucky's comment while Vidyut very calmly,

Vd (dramatic) - I'm going to destroy him... If that's the last thing I do.

And Vidyut started to walk away angrily,

Ni - Yeh villian ke jaise baath karke kahan jaa raha hai?

I - Yeh kuch karega toh nahi?
Vi (worried) - Oh no! Stop Bhaiya. Woh kahin Gautam ka complain nahi karey.
A (angry) - And that's what you're worried about?

Angela gives a funny stare before she walks behind Vidyut to stop him from doing something he would regret while the rest of the gang follow her too while Rohan walks near a worried Vidurshi and,

Ro (teasing) - Angela's right you know. You never know, Vidyut might just kill Gautam and go to jail.

Vidurshi exclaims in shock and

Vi (funny) - Rohan. I'm going to...

She turns but realising that Rohan was right by her shoulder, takes a step back feeling a little embarrassed by their closeness.

Ro (teasing) - You'll what?

Rohan took one step towards her and came near her face,

Vi - Nothing.

Vidurshi says fast after which she runs away,

Ro - Arey bhaag kyun rahe ho?

Rohan laughed to himself as he was having fun teasing her ever since her confession about liking him. He laughs and runs behind Vidurshi.

Vidyut put a big mouthful piece of chapathi in his mouth and was aggressively grinding it in his mouth while Vidurshi looked at him worried. The rest of the gang stared at him with funny expressions

C (whispers, funny) - Yeh bada line markey yahan dinner pe chala aaga.
Ni (whispers) - Shoo. Sunlega!
C (whispers) - Mujhe toh laga pakka principal office jaa'ega.
Ni (whispers) - Jaa raha tha... Par Angela ney rokh li.

As he was listening to Niti, Charlie spotted Sid standing by the food counter,

C - Sid?

The gang turned towards Sid who walked to them,

C - Khada kyun hai? Beto.
S - Nahi. Main Siyali ke saath dinner kar raha hoon. Buss khana leyna aaya tha.
C - Oh.

Sid nods his head and walks away from the table to get food. He turns back to look at the gang and remembers how they used to tease him by howling whenever he mentioned any activity involving Siyali and him together. And now, there was only a familiar silence like the time when they thought Siyali was dead and none of his friends took Siyali's name in front of him. It felt like they were back at square one.

After dinner, Vidurshi enters the dorm, hesitant and rolling her eyes. She walks to the girls sitting on two opposite beds. They stare at her,

Vi - I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys. I just felt so ashamed.
K (emotional) - Vi, Ashamed tumhe nahi, uss Gautam ko hona chahiye.
Ni (emotional) - Haan. Hum naaraz nahi hai ki tumney humsey nahi kaha, par bohat bura lagraha hai ki tumhe itna sab kuch sehna pada.
T (emotional) - Niti's right. What you went through, might not sound really difficult to others. Because we don't know what it feels like, we can only think how it would've felt. The emotional trauma. I just wish I could've done something.
Vi - Thanks guys.

Vidurshi tried to smile to convince them and then looked at Angela,

Vi (cutely) - Tum naraaz ho?
A - Nahi.
Vi - Aur Bhaiya?
A - Nahi. At least tumpe nahi. I mean... Just like me, he probably doesn't know what we could've done to stop this.

Vidurshi sits next to Angela and holds her hand,

A - You're trying to console me? We should be trying to console you.

The girls felt bad hearing her speak while
Angela decided to speak,

A - You know what Vidyut said when I spoke to him? He said he was really proud that you got through the situation. All on your own.

Vidurshi looked emotional hearing Vidyut's words through Angela,

A - Usney kaha, mujhe nahi patha tha ki meri choti behan itni strong hai.
Ni - Apna Vidurshi toh badi hogayi...

Vidurshi smiled and laughed at Niti's comment. After a few minutes of silence,

Ni (with complicated thoughts) - Gussa karney ka toh bohat mann kar raha hai. Par kya karey, Siyali ki itni madath jo kiya hai usney. Nafrat nahi kar pa rahi hoon.
A (trying to see good in the bad situation) - Sahi keh rahe ho.

This could've been worse. He

did do a horrible deed. But at least he's not a horrible person.
Vi (convincing herself) - Yaa! That's how I convinced myself.

Trying to lighten up the situation,

K - But I really wish you told about this earlier, Vi. At least, we wouldn't have been swooning over Gautam for so long.

The girls looked at each other for a minute and started laughing

Episode 144 - Absence makes the heart grow fonder

In the medical room, Siyali was looking at Sid as he sat next to her along with the plate. As Sid takes a peice of chapathi and brings his hand in front of Siyali's mouth,

Si (embarrassed) - Mere left shoulder mein chot hai.
S - I know.
Si (embarrassed) - Main khud khaa sakti hoon.
S - I know.
Si - You don't have to...
S - I want to.

Siyali looked at Sid as he answered to her blantly. With an awkward expression, she accepts the food and let's him feed her. As she chews her food slowly, she watches Sid as he took a piece for himself. As he continued to feed her and himself, a surprised Siyali continued to watch the expressions on his face and eyes. She remembered Sid's expression that he usually had whenever he was helping her - It was either a flirting or romantic expression. But now, Sid looked obliged.

As Siyali continued, Sid had washed his hands and the plates in the medical room bathroom. He leaves them on the table near by where he was supposed to leave and helps her with the tablets. He gives her the tablets and feeds her water to drink. He then dusts the blanket around her and fixes it before he leaves,

S - Okay. Good night.

He turns and walks to the door when,

Si - I'm sorry Sid.

He stops,

Si (feeling bad) - Meri wajase tumhari mom...
S (stern) - Unki yeh halat ki wajah woh khud hai. Aur koi nahi. Tumhe sorry bolney ki koi zaroorat nahi hai.

Siyali takes a deep breath and

Si - Iss pal ka intezaar bohat dhinon sey tha.

Sid turns towards Sid,

Si (emotional, unhappy) - Jab sab ko mere Siyali honey ka patha chalega. Jab mere zinda honey ka sach patha chalega. Jab bhi main iss pal ke baarey mein sochti thi, mujhe laga sab ko bathaney ke liye bohat kuch hoga. Khaas karkey tumhe. Par ajeeb baath hai, "Sorry" ke ilawa bolney ke liye kuch hai nahi. Tumhe itna dard diya hai mainey. Jitney bhi maafi maang'oon khaafi nahi hai.

Sid looked into Siyali's eyes with a painful expression,

Si (regretful tone) - I'm really really sorry, Sid. Main tumhe koi bhi taqleef deyna nahi chahti thi. Kasam sey. Par...

Sid who was looking around to hide his tears looked at Siyali and saw that she was in much pain as much as he was in. He knew how she felt. It hurt to hurt the person you love which is when he remembered,

S (mature) - It's okay.

S (hurt, guilty) - Main jaanta tha ki tumhari har ek baath ke peechey koi na koi wajah zaroor hoga. Par yeh nahi jaanta tha ki itna bada wajah hoga.

As Sid walked by the empty, low lit corridor, he remembered when his mother affectionately told him that she cared about him.

Teri saanson se judi
Meri saanson ki wafa
Ne kaha, ne kaha
He also remembers when his mom looked at him with tears in her eyes and asked him to stay away from Siyali which he obliged to due to his love for his family. This resulted in him hurting Siyali and telling her he had no feelings for her.

Girte un aansuon mein
Kuch toh tujhsa lage hai
Inn ashqon mein main na hota
As he walked by the office room, he wipes the tears off his eyes remembering how he found his mom and Siyali in a complicated situation. And finally the look he gave her before she was taken away by the police.

Meanwhile, Utkarsh was sitting down on the dorm bathroom's floor. As he looked down at his books, Tears kept falling on the pages which he wiped away to continue studying.
On the other hand, Sid was also lying on his bed looking up and crying. Noticing someone watching him, he hides his tears by keeping his left forearm on his eyes.

<Music>
Sid imagines a perfect like where Urmila maam sitting in between Utkarsh and Sid in the sofa, laugh watching a movie; during an early morning jogging, Urmila ma'am and Sid turn back to see Utkarsh struggling to fun with a funny expression and cheer him on to come fast; Urmila ma'am sitting by the table and admiring as Utkarsh and Sid tried to cook for her; In the farm house by the beach, Urmila Ma'am training with Sid for boxing wearing focus mits while Utkarsh filmed this and Anwesha ma'am commented on the progress; Siyali, Utkarsh and Urmila ma'am cheering for Sid while he participates in the boxing tournament; All of them along with Anwesha ma'am going to a restaurant to celebrate Sid's victory and clinging their glasses together with each of them having smiles brighter than the other person.

Bin tere dekhun main, zara sa lagun

Soch ke baat ye, dara sa lagun
In the mess, the gang looked at the brothers feeling incomplete as Utkarsh sat on a different table and studied as he ate while Sid sat with them and ate like nothing was wrong. The gang remembered how their table was the most noisiest and fun table where there was always something or the other going on.

They felt sad seeing their friends and themselves like this.

Girte un aansuon mein

Inn ashqon mein main na hota
Sun raised and set, days went by, and Everytime Sid and Utkarsh passed by they acted like they were a stranger to each other. Anwesha ma'am stood in middle and watched then approach her and smiled, but the two of them just passed by and walked to the opposite directions making her upset.

Urmila ma'am was seen sitting in the interrogation room looking lost while she was questioned. While Sid and Utkarsh continued to give the exams, they missed, day after day and it was getting clearer that Utkarsh avoided Sid and Siyali while Sid avoided Utkarsh and Siyali. Meanwhile a stressful Anwesha ma'am attended call after call, trying to fix the mess that was created.

<Music>
In the exam hall, Siyali looks to her left and sees Sid as he wrote his exam. She could see him scratching out lines continuously and looking frustrated. On the outside, Sid was trying to be calm and mature, and didn't show his emotions. But in his heart, Sid was hurt, confused and in grief. Siyali then looks at her right to see Utkarsh who was seriously attempting his paper. Seeing Utkarsh frequently rubbing his eyes, she understood that he has been studying all night, preparing for his exams. May be this was his way to cope up to the situation. May be Utkarsh thought if he was smart enough, he could help get his mother out of jail. Siyali turned front and into her paper. Her mind was distracted with the thoughts of the two most important boys in her life. She felt helpess.

On Sunday evening, Siyali was seen sitting in the medical room with a sleeveless shirt and jeans; getting her wound treated by the doctor,

Doc - So, done with exams?
Si - Haan.
Doc - Life does seem unfair doesnt it?
Si - Kyun? Iss halat mein exam deyney ke liye.
Doc - Nahi. I appreciate your determination. Par Mera mathlab ta giving exams continuously without study holidays in between.
Si - Woh unfair...
Doc - Haan. Tum toh topper ho, manage karliya hoga. Bicharey Sid aur Utkarsh.
Si (thinking) - Haan... Sid aur... Utkarsh?

She spotted Utkarsh standing by the door and looking awkward,

U (awkward) - Main baad mein aata hoon.
Doc - No. No. I'm done.

Siyali smiles at Utkarsh who gives an awkward look as he sat on the bed opposite to her.

Meanwhile, in Delhi, Gautam was seen inside an empty office seriously staring at his laptop. As soon as he hears knocking, he fastly closes his laptop and looks by the door to see Sunaina standing by the door with a smile,

G - Sunaina?
Su (suspicious) - Why did you just close the laptop?
G - Nothing.

Gautam said with a sheepish look as Sunaina walked towards him with a suspicious look. As she tries to open the laptop, Gautam doesn't take his palm of the laptop. This lead to a small fight between the two after which Gautam gave up and let Sunaina open the laptop.

Sunaina looks at the laptop screen and then at Gautam who stood was avoiding eye contact looking embarrassed.

Su - You know if Papa gets to know, you'll be in trouble.
G (acting childish) - Who's going to tell him?

Gautam takes the laptop and brings it back to his desk,

G - Tum yahan kya kar rahi ho?
Su (sarcastic) - Me? I thought my buddy was working so hard on an important case on Sunday evening and use some snacks. But I guess not.

Sunaina gave a sarcastic smile as she held up a cover with snacks.

G (excited) - Kya laye ho?

Seeing Gautam's foody expression, Sunaina smirks. And moments later, the two of them sat in another empty table having momos together,

Su (hesitating) - Soo... About what you were doing before...

Sunaina looked at Gautam with a sheepish look while Gautam who had a mouthful started laughing,

G (mouthful) - See, even you are curious.

Sunaina nods her head as she dips the Momos into the sauce,

Su - So what's going on with Urmila Rajput?
G - Tumharey aaney sey pehley main charge sheet padraha tha and the way I see it, I toh think a lawyer with a little twisted brain can aasani sey bring her out of the jail.
Su (teasing) - You mean to say someone like you?
G (offended) - Someone more money minded and with no conscience.

Sunaina gives a sarcastic expression and shakes her head hearing this,

G - But seriously, I don't understand why she's still in jail. Agar main unki lawyer hota toh she would be out on bail by now. Are lawyers just being super dumb that they can't find a way to get her out?
Su (disbelief) - Wow? You're getting worked up that she's still in jail when you put her in jail?
G - First of all, I didn't put her in jail. She landed herself in there. Secondly, I'm just stating my observation.
Su - So tum yeh kehna chahtey ho ki unki release honey ha chance hai?
G - Yes. She is in jail because she tried to attack Siyali. But when she did, she was under influence of drugs. She was not of sound mind. So unhon ney jaan bochkey nahi kiya hai. Which means no mens rea. Which in turn means she either gets a reduced sentence or pronounced "not guilty" based on the kind of lawyer in this case.
Su (thinking) - That's a problem. Right?
G - It is. Intention, Knowingly and sound mind ko establish karna hai toh we need to bring in the kidnapping incident. But again, itney mahinon ki search ke baad bhi, ek bhi evidence nahi mila tha she was the one. How can someone leave no trace is something that I don't understand. No evidence, no trace, no nothing.

Su (cogent) - Except for the victim who is also the witness.

Gautam looks at Sunaina who gave an intense look with a smirk,

Su - Which means that Siyali needs to remember.

Sunaina directly looks into Gautam's eyes and the two of them intensely stare at each other accepting that Siyali's memory was the only way.

The screen now zooms out to Siyali's face as she sat in the medical room bed.

In the medical room, Siyali looked at Utkarsh who sat in the opposite bed and continued to look down with bowed head,

U (maturely) - Sab keh rahey hai ki tumhari yeh haal Meri maa ke wajase hai. Sab yeh bhi kehrahe hai ki tumney khud unkey kilaaf gawai di. (Pauses) Jis kisikey wajasey meri maa jail main hai aur Jo koi meri maa ko gunegaar maanta hai, main un sab ko nafrat karna chahta hoon. But uss list mein tu bhi hai, aur tujse toh kabhi nafrat nahi kar paa'onga.

Siyali looks at Utkarsh sadly as he continues to look down at the floor,

U - Agar main tumhari baath ko sach maan'oonga toh uska matlab hai ki main Maa ko gunegaar maana padega. Aur agar unko beguna maanta hoon, toh tumhari baath ko jhoot maana padega.

Utkarsh lifts his head and looks at a sorrowful Siyali,

U - Mujhe kisika side toh leyna padega (Pauses, emotional) Par ley nahi paa raha hoon. Jitna yakeen sey main yeh kehsakta hoon ki tumney joot nahi bola hoga, Utna yakeen sey main yeh bhi kehsakta hoon ki meri maa ney tumhe maarney ki koshish nahi ki hogi.

Utkarsh who was until now sounded like a mature adult with his feelings sorted out started getting emotional,

U (emotional) - Main jaanta hoon ki tumhari koi galti nahi hai. Main jaanta hoon ki tumney bhi bohat suffer kiya. Mujhse aise tumhe avoid nahi karna chahiye. Par aisa lagta hai ki agar main tumhara dost raha, toh main apni Maa ki beta nahi rahoonga. (Crying) Main toh dhono hi rehna chahta hoon.

As Utkarsh starts to cry, Siyali's eyes start brimming with tears,

U (crying) - Bachpan sey jo mera sab kuch thi, Jisney uss best friend ki yeh halat ki hai, main ab bhi unki side ley raha hoon. Main bura hoon kya, Siyali? Main galat hoon kya, Siyali?

Siyali, trying to hold her her running tears, shakes her head in denial after which Utkarsh gets off the bed and kneels down in front of Siyali in such a way that he puts his head on her lap. Siyali cries along with Utkarsh and pats him. Utkarsh lifts his head off Siyali's lap,

U (emotional) - Bachpan see aaj tak, Jab bhi hum problem mein hotey hai, tu hi toh solution nikaalti hai. Aisa bhi bada problem mein phasey hai Siyali. Aur humesha ki jaise, mujhe nahi patha hai ki iss situation sey kaise nikaltey. Tu hi batha, Siyali. Mujhe kya karna chahiye?

Si (emotional) - Mujhe nahi patha hai, Utkarsh.

As she cried, Siyali hugged Utkarsh by his neck and,

Si (emotional) - Mujhe bhi nahi patha hai, Utkarsh.

Siyali held Utkarsh tight as he wailed his heart out and cried while Siyali couldn't hold her tears either as somewhere it did seem like she was the cause of all these problems.

Angela felt like she shouldn't let Dishant think so and so,

Dish (emotional) - Thats okay if you think like that. I really tried to cheer up and not to give up, Angela. Jab bhi tumhari letter padta tha, i always felt hope. It's okay Dishant, teek ho jaa'ega. I wanted to find out who you were and talk to you, par mujhe laga the only reason you were disclosing these to me was because you felt comfortable being anonymous. Isi liye... I thought I was helping. But I didn't.
Dish - No. Actually you did. It was because of you that I stayed sane for a really long time. Agar tum nahi hotey, toh main kab ka...

Angela was feeling more and more sorry as the conversation proceeded,

Dish (cheered up) - But you know the most wierd thing. When you guys called me for the gift and I started drawing. When the book came home after printing your words, Dad was in a meeting with this client who saw the gift.
A (confused) - Okay?
Dish - And ofcourse he loved it. He saw my drawings and he said I should try animation.
A - I don't understand.
Dish (trying to explain) - Singapore mein unka ek college hai which has a great program for art and animation and he wants to me join after school.
A (shocked) - What?
Dish - Yes! And dad didn't say yes but he didn't say no either.
A (happy) - Oh my gawd. I'm so happy for you.

Angela hugged Dishant and instantly moved away awkwardly,

A (awkward) - I really am happy for you.
Dish (happy) - Thanks.

Angela was shocked for second but then she smile and looked at Dishant who was also smiling and,

Dishant continued to have a smile on his face to assure Angela that he wasn't going to be hurt. He rolled his eyes thinking about what she said,

As Vidurshi walked through the corridor, she was looking around when she spotted Lucky and Ishaan sitting by the parapet and reading something. She smiled at them and passes then when she realised that what they were reading.

Vi (shocked) - Oh my god. Yeh Rohan ka diary hai na?

As she spoke, Vidurshi looked around to ensure Rohan wasn't around,

I - Chill bro. We made sure he's busy before taking this.

Vidurshi said as Lucky and Ishaan continued to inspect page after page,

I (dertermined) - That's correct. We're just looking for some kind of clues. We really want to know who this girl is.

Vidurshi gave a shocked expression while Ishaan with a sarcastic smile on his face, hit Lucky with his elbows to make him stop. A clueless Lucky looked at Ishaan who gave different expressions with his eyes to try to make him understand that Vidurshi doesn't know that they know about her little crush.

I (trying to manage, funny) - Don't mind him. Lucky. He doesn't know what he's telling.

Ishaan said with a fake assuring smile while Vidurshi was giving sheepish looks. She was teased enough when she had no feelings. And now if they knew she had feelings for Rohan,

Vi (awkward) - Ya. Lucky. Where did you even get that idea? I don't like Rohan.. like that and all.. But even if I did... like hypothetically... Even then... That girl.. she's all in the past. Right?... No need to get jealous.

Lucky and Ishaan were giving cute expressions, trying not to laugh. It was always fun to tease Rohan and it was as much fun seeing Vidurshi trying to ensure that people didn't know about her feelings,

This time Ishaan didn't stop Lucky as it was fun to see Vidurshi's expression change.

Vidurshi who was until now giving annoyed, jealous expressions started rolling her eyes as these lines started sounding familiar,

Lucky exclaimed as Vidurshi pulled the note from his hand and read the date on top,

As the boys got up and walked to her, Vidurshi remembered the day as the day when she had asked Rohan for help with Aditya sir and when he sang the song. Her heart started racing like she knew there was something to this.

She didn't hear them calling for her and fastly turned the pages to the first entry on the diary and she could hear a hum - her humming. As she froze in time, she started remembering,

She sees a pair of shoes few feet away from her, she lifts her head to see the boy in front of her. She smiles at a young Rohan who has his eyes glued to her. Screen zooms to the form dated "27-07-2011" and changes to Rohan's diary,
