Chapter 5

"Did you hear what I said? Arnav repeated himself, his voice still holding on to a bit of anger.

"huh... um.. yea.. Khushi replied in her least favorite tone.

She hated being this close to him. Having his hands around her possessively, that musky smell of cologne filling up her lungs with the added distraction of his warm breath on her mouth she knew she was a goner. She hated how attractive he was and what it did to her. But damn her if she ever let him see that.

Doing her best to put a stop to all the wobbling, Khushi fixed her posture and stood up straight pushing her weight on his car. She looked him straight in the eyes and said, "Well then talk.

He knew better than to lash out at a grown woman for living her life and making her own decisions, but that wouldn't stop him from showing his concern. Most of his anger subsided watching her cute attempts at composing herself. To him she was just trying to mask her drunken state, oh but little did he know.

"I don't know why but for some reason I feel like a certain someone may have told you to be careful and if you needed anything to call. Oh wait, that's because I DID THAT. Listen Khushi you know I have no problem with you drinking or partying at the end of the day it's your damn life and I am not your parent but I expected more from you than to put yourself in a shady situation. I mean where the hell did you even go woman?30 minutes! You disappeared for 30 minutes I called you 15 times. And if that wasn't enough...

I mean for god's sake Khushi Payal called me 10 times man. As much as I trust you I have absolutely no trust in guys or alcohol fueled up testosterone. What do you think is going to happen at a club... a guy would see you alone, drunk and think to himself... hmm lets not hit on this incredibly beautiful and sexy girl but instead help her find her friends. THAT'S NOT REAL.

Arnav had to force himself to step back as he felt all the anger returning with a full force as he dwelled on the different ways this night could have ended if Khushi had encountered some jerk.

On the other hand, Khushi was far from mad.

Of course, Arnav had complimented her before in the past but that usually meant him telling her she looked nice and the occasional "you look pretty but beautiful and sexy... her? Yeah guys had said it to her before and no she was not going to pretend to have insecurities and act like she was caught off guard she respected herself too much for that. But the fact that Arnav thought she was more than nice... sexy and beautiful... scratch that, incredibly beautiful well that definitely made way for some elephant sized butterflies in her stomach.

The tequila in her didn't do much to aid her dreamy dazed state as she stood there starting at his face as all her attention immediately fell down to those beautiful lips of his. With that she took a deep breath in and moved closer towards him.
