As Athene has stated, I completely disagree with the Khoon influence on one's behavior and actions. If at all, Vatsalya was greatly influence by his mother.
No, that's the thing. Poonam will take the bullet, Damo will not, in fact Poonam has figuratively taken the bullet for Anami twice now. Once when she went for the DNA test, then cut her finger on purpose to hide the prick and most of all now with the enormous risk she takes. Satrupa threatened to bulldoze her house if Anami bathes there, Poonam knows the risks, yet she does it. It is not that the expectation is set by Satrupa. It is what Anami brought out in her by giving her equality, friendship and support. Damo does not have equality or friendship with Satrupa, it is a boss relationship like a mafia boss. She knows how dangerous Satrupa can be and she remembers that I think. if Damo had loyalty she would have put herself before Satrupa when she stood directly in the line of Purushottam's gun. Satrupa put herself in front then, she will take a bullet for Anami I believe that despite her actions now because she did that. Damo did not, she has not risked anything like Poonam. She is not that loyal IMO. If Gayathri threatens her, she will go against Satrupa I feel.
@Bold Nature vs Nurture. I believe Vatsalya was not influenced his mother much. He was not a hands on brought up Satrupa like Anami was by Panditayen I feel. The day to day care might have fallen on maids or even Damo. His nature is goodness I feel. Hence his dreams are different and for the good of people just because he is in a position to help. If he was in any way like Satrupa or Vikram he would have tried to use it for his own benefit like they both do. If anyone has passed on his goodness I feel it is Baldev. He has empathy in moments that are completely out of character and of no use to him like the times he has for Anami.
Nature is Anami who has inherited Satrupa's tevar. zid, arrogance, control, use of power and so on. The one incident cutting the tutor's hair, I bring it up often because thee is a saying "When someone shows who they are believe them". It is Anami at her worst and it is a direct parallel to Satrupa. It is this gutter Khoon that I speak of that the nurture of Pandits has turned into someone that can inspire the kind of loyalty that Poonam has. If not Anami is Satrupa 2.0 even now. The bad traits are kept away only by the nurture. She is the true heir of the LM Bahu, in fact she is the LM Beti, the actual khoon runs through her. Anami had she grown up in LM would have been worse than Avdoot and Satrupa I feel. But her upbringing has saved her. She will be a better person, better RS owner, LM beti because of the Pandits.
