@BOLD - This is one point that I have argued within myself MOST... I thought only Chandra and Nandini only should know about their marriage. But if Lopa knows about Malay, about Nalini, about Neela's love, about Asur Sasur, then naturally she has to know her BEST Friend's love also...

As such, everyone knows about the Swayamvar which was stopped and Nandini had cared for his welfare at that time. Actually, kings those days could pick up any woman from their kingdom and marry them. Coz King and God were considered equal to a common man. Correctly observed, Priya ⭐️ Here, he is taking decision both as a Husband and as a King. Both Malay and Asur has to die by his hands for what they have planned to do with his wife. But he also plans to invade Gandhar to rescue the poor women who are / were subjected to such ill treatment. As such, he really respects women. But his motive for invasion of another kingdom is not an ambitious one, but more like a Rescue Mission. And you correctly captured that point.

After such a gruesome scene, I thought i will add some humour to the scene.😊 Also, I wanted to show that Lopa is a servant girl, not a fighter woman, but very loyal to her friend. She cannot handle a sword, thats why she thought of offering herself to Malay, instead of killing him. But the thought of protecting Nandini when she is unconscious, even if she has to fight with a sword, shows her loyalty and readiness for sacrifice. But Chandra found out that she is a novice with the way she handled the sword 😃

Chandra is too happy that Nandini has someone as Lopa to guard and protect her

He trusts Lopa now and I agree with his suggestion for Lopa to have sword practice

Chandra himself wont be always with Nandini so some one trustworthy has to be with her who is fully equipped to protect her against any possible attack

His earnest heart felt request to Lopa to take care of her for now just melted me

Any one else in his place would have ordered Lopa to take care of her

These two are just perfect soulmates for each other
