On Chandan front, she needs to straighten him out. She should leverage Harit and do it as a couple. That's the reason why they were brought together in the story ! "Chandan ma Palna . My hope is that they will be put together in more situations to handle Chandan (his tantrums, his school stuff, his shopping, etc) and develop intimacy.

No sign of Harit

Aiyo, this tugged my heart. She doesn't know what it is but she is starting to miss being around him.

Her break from work is so needed. So she can sort out her personal life. She can reflect on her new life with Harit n not just about taking Chandan and running away; About getting adjusted to new house, new customs, traditions, relationships.

I wish Harit can respond to her yet to be spoken needs (I don't even know if she has realized it yet).

The men came up for dinner that night. Avantika was mighty self conscious to even make eye contact with Harit. She looked like she had spotted a stranger in the shower or something.

Sita Ram noted that she was not even turning towards her husband during dinner. He was afraid they had an argument even before getting intimate.

Lakshmi asked about pair pherna visit to Roorkee, where a girl goes back to her parents house one time.

"Inka school ka dekh lein pehle?Sita Ram urged

He saw the sparkle leave Avantika's eyes when he suggested that

Avantika simply nodded, trying not to weep.

"Bhai Bareilly mein kya kami hai Lakshmi was not amused

"Bache hain, chhedne deejiye Sita Ram smiled

"Babuji Dainik Hindustan mein aaj aap he eke charche hain Rishabh raised his water glass in toast

"Akhbaaron ka zyaada dhyan nahi dena chahiye

The family discussed animatedly about a case Sita Ram was presiding over. He on the other hand stayed very silent not sharing anything or revealing anything

Chandu managed to tick Suyash off by pouring water on his plate when Suyash accidentally nudged Chandu's plate away from him, as he bent down to pick up his spoon from the floor

Resulting chaos caused the dinner to end on a sour note

The men huddled in the corner of the dining room discussing Chandan's out of control behavior

Avantika was deeply hurt by Chandan's actions but assumed she was the only one on "Chandan's side so couldn't turn against the poor kid

"Ma, kal Garima ke school bhejne ki tayyari karen Harshal said patiently

"Kitne baar koshish ho chuki hai beta, is chakkar mein Gauri Garima late ho jaate hain

Lakshmi was capping a pickle jar

Teeku had dragged Chandan to her bedroom

"Not cool dude she gripped his wrist in a whisper

"He pushed my plate

"Have you heard of the word accident? she kneeled before him and begged

Chandan started howling again

"shshhh shhh ek dum chup, kitna rotey hain aap aaj kal Teeku was stunned

"I HATE YOU

"Chandooo shhh shhh she warned waving finger

"And BTW aap Suyash ko bhayya kyon nahi kehte? Gauri Garima aapse badin hain, unko Didi nahi kehte" she was not happy

"I want to go to OUSSS he sobbed leaning on her

He wanted out she realized. He wanted to return to Malviya Nagar

That was impossible now

She hugged him with a moan. She was mighty home sick also. She was unable to connect with legal topics. She used to be the center of attention at Roorkee on all her visits. Her Delhi stories regaled and entertained.

There was no formal dinner tradition at Roorkee

People ate when they were hungry

Here dinner wasn't ready until almost 10

Lunch was formal too, who ever was home was expected to eat with Lakshmi

"Monday aap inko lekar ja paayengi school? Harit appeared

She stood up startled

"Umm.. agar us school mein inka mann nahi hai to koi aur dekh lein? she coddled

"Avantika its not Delhi. It's the best school there is. Suyash goes to a all boys school at Cantt.

"Uh.. he still misses Delhi she said

"Too bad... because this is where he belongs Harit shrugged coolly and walked away

Saturday dawned sunny and hot.

The house was a zoo, kids running around, men relaxed lounging in sofas in the giant living room

The bhabhis giggling downstairs as they tried to reconnect the hose on the giant washing machine

The contractors pounded away in the unfinished rooms.

Harit was asleep when Avantika left her room to go eat

She spotted him leaning by a window talking to Harshal an hour later.

Must be no shave weekend she thought since he appeared like he had showered he hadn't shaved

She must have passed by 6 times across from where he was at by the windows, he was laughing loudly and chatting. No other reaction

Meeta Bhabhi called her at 2ish, Teeku was starving, hoping lunch was ready.

"Kahan hain aap, na call karti hain na text she giggled

"Hum yahin hain, too hungry to banter. Aaj Roorkee mein kya menu hai?

"Karhi, baingan ka bharta, sem aur gulabjamun she smacked her lips

"Bhabhi you are so cruel

"To aa jaayen aap she invited

"Ma kahan hain?

"Maatey kisi se baat kar rahin hain neeche, kal hamey ek cavity procedure ke beech dizziness hua to Vibhu aur Ma ne hamey bed se chain kar diye hain

"Oh no... are you OK?

"The baby is kicking me like crazy and these people think something is wrong. Aaj hai lunch ke baad ultrasound she smiled content

"Bhai se hum kahenge, bas no more babies. I love you too much

"Hamara to ho chuka Teeku. Aapki baari ab she twitched as the lil feet kicked

"Umm... don't know she mumbled

"Kyon? Harit ko bache pasand nahi? Hum nahi maangene. Kyon ki yeh baat galat hai

"What if he is gay?" Teeku cracked herself up, her tone reflecting an indifference and nonchalance

"TEEEKU Meeta hissed "Stop it

"Bhabheee "I am just saying

"Don't... its not funny... and not true

"Bhabs

"Achha kya jaankari paayi aapne hafte mein unke baare mein?

"Sab neeche TV dekhte hain, weekends mein zyaada sotey hain aur shave nahi karte

"Bas? "Shave se aap Harit ki baat kar rahin hain ya sabki? Meeta prodded

"Bas Harit!!! Teeku responded shocked, in a "why will I notice if the other men don't shave

"Achhaa... hmmm Meeta relaxed a little chuckling

"Aur kya kahen?

"Umm.. how about how long he makes out? Din mein kitne baar kiss karte hain? Ya phir how disobedient he is in bed?

"Kuch bhi she shrugged

"Teeku kuch to data jama hona chahiye aapke paas

Suman appeared... "Avantika chaliye khaana khaate hain she said smiling joyfully.

"Bhabhi... I will call you soon, are u home in the afternoon after the ultrasound?

"Jee "suman ko hi! Kahen Meeta hollered

"Hi! Meeta. Baby theek? Suman hollered as Teeku held up the phone

"Jee... aa jaayen khaana khaane, aapko baingan pasand hain a? aaj bharta bana hai Meeta invited

"Yaha chholey hain, dahi bade gajar matar Suman responded

Teeku realized the women had an easy friendship going

😲 omg ! She is thinking all mixed up. Harit should hear this and act on it 😆

She is hungry, hungry for everything now.

how very alone she must feel in this stage house, where even her husband is not hers. how can anyone be so oblivious to someone. and if he's not then kuchch to reaction do. and chandan, oh god, he needs some real help and eveybody needs to be on the same page for this. i certainly feel of avantoka.
