Part 4
It's been one week since Priya had joined ETF. She has mingled well with the team and was working efficiently on each case. She was excellent in the research work but was also good at the field job.
In this one week, she has rarely spoken to Arjun, always avoiding any chance of being left with him alone.
Arjun thought that it was due to that night's incident that she was behaving like this.
He was also guilty about what he did, so he was avoided any talk and eyecontact with her as far as it was possible.
But still he always felt a different kind of feeling whenever she was near him. It felt as if he is surrounded by positive vibes. His life was once again beginning to bloom with her arrival.
With Shree, Chotu and Sameer the case was a bit different. She could understand Choree's mischief's, their needs without them saying it, their all frustations when they got scolded by their boses. She could easily calm them down.
And for Sameer, she was so caring and kind. She admired him as his big brother.
All in all she was brought back life in ETF. All enjoyed her company.
It was a usual day in ETF. All had arrived and were in the Conference Hall. Soon, Rathore arrived.
Rathore: Guys, we have a case. Ek old couple ka murder hua hai unke hi ghar me, aur kuch keemti saaman bhi gayab hai. Let's go.
Arjun, Sakshi, Shree and Priya went in one SUV while the rest in the other.
Sakshi sat on the passenger seat as usual, while Shree and Priya occupied the back seats and Arjun on driving seat.
Shree was telling about one of his latest gadgets to Priya and she was listening attentively. Sakshi was looking outside the window and humming a song while Arjun was lookingat Priya through the rear view mirrir and was lost in some thoughts.
Soon, they reached the crime spot and all started scanning it and analyzing the dead bodies.
Priya: Sir, aankadon ke hisaab se...
The four boys looked at her shocked as if they have seen a ghost. After one complete year, they were listening to this phrase. First, they were shocked to core but then composed themselves thinking that Priya is also a Research Specialist.
Priya was aware of the fact that this will surely affect them but it was time now that she unravel the truth one by one.
So she continued, "Aankadon ke hisaab se, 87% cases me loot ki wajah se murder kiye jaate hain"
"Lekin ye ek planned murder hai" both Arjun and Priya spoke together. They looked at each other and had a brief eye-contact.
All others were amazed at Priya, as for the first time, someone has matched the thinking frequency of the gr8 ACP Arjun.
Shree took her to one side and asked "Yaar Priya, ye SYS ke dimaag me to ye afltoon baatein aati rehti hain, par tu ye bata ki tune aisa kyun kaha ki ye ek planned murder hai??"
Priya: Shree wo isliye kyunki ghar me se sirf paise aur gehne chori hue hain, baaki saara saaman yahin hai...wo dekh(pointing towards the dead bodies) Mr. Jaiswal ki haath ki ghadi aur Mrs. Jaiswal ki sone ki chain ko chor kyun chodd jaega...ab samjha!!
Shree: Waah yaar!! Tu to kamaal hai.
All this was heard by Arjun and he was impressed by her intelligence.
After some more investigation, they returned back to office and were discussing about the case.
Arjun: Shree..ye Shekhar(the couple's son) aur iss Shyam(their housekeeper) ke call records nikalo.
Shree: Sir.
Arjun: Rathore, agar ye planned murder hai to hame ye pata karna hoga ki kisse Mr. and Mrs. Jaiwal ki maut se fyada hoga aur kaisa fyada??
Before anyone could say anything, Priya spoke, "Sir, sabse bada fyada Shekhar ko hoga. Wo unn k aek lauta beta hai to saari jaidaad uske naam thi. But abhi kuch ek hafte pehke Mr. Jaiswal apne lawyer se apni will ke baare me baat kar rhe the jiske according ab jaidaad ka sirf 20% hi Shekhar ko milega. Iss will ko ban'ne me abhi tine tha aur agar usse pehle Mr. Jaiswal ki maut ho jaati hai to saara paisa Shekhar ko mil jaega."
All were listening attentively to the new lead that was revealed by Priya. They were impressed by her quick thinking skills and sharp mind, even our Arjun.
Shree: Aur sir, Shekhar ne apne parents ki maut se ek din pehle, din me teen baar Shyam se baat ki hai.
Arjun: Iska matlab ki Shekhar ne Shyam ko dara-dhamka kar usse ye dono murders karwaye aur phir paide aur gehne chura kar ye dikhaya ki ye ek chori thi.
Rathore: Good job team. Let's go...uss Shekhar ko uski asli jagah pohochana hai.
They went to Shekhar's home. After some interrogation, he confessed his crime. He was handed over to the local police and all returned back to office.
It was almost midnight but all were engrossed in completing the paperwork. Priya got up to from her seat, "Mai aap sabke liye coffee bana kar lati hoon"
She was about to leave when sakshi stopped her "Priya, Arjun ke liye mat lana. Wo sirf apni cutting chai peeta hai."
After 5 minutes she returned with coffee mugs in her hand. She gave them to all and then kept one mug in front of Arjun.
Before he could speak, she said, almost wispered in her ear "Aapki cutting chai to iss waqt milegi nhi, to aapko issi se kaam chalana padega."
All thought yhat Arjun will scold her but to their utter surprise, he did not say anything. Instead, he held the mug in his hand and a very small smile crept on his face, about which he was also unaware.
All started drinking their coffee. Just one sip and the trio(Sameer and Choree) said in unison "Ye to..."
All looked at them, while they three looked towards Priya who was looking down reading a file as if unaware of the happenings in the surrounding.
They badly missed this taste of coffee and now they just wanted to enjoy drinking it. So they quietly resumed drinking it.
The four men in the office had only one thought in their minds...
"She seems so similar to her, yet so different."

Sorry guys, i know thoda boring tha and case ki details bhi kuch khaas nhi thi. But this was important for the progress of he story.
