This has to be the most beautifully expressed chapter in all of Flightless and Clipped Wings together. Khushi's thoughts about past, present and fragments of reality in a person amazed me. The way you so efficiently brought out her thought process is commendable. You are one heck of a writer.
It's true how we can sometimes fall in love only with the fragments of a person, not the entire him/her. Because the fragments are all he has left in himself, just like arnav here. And khushi's love for him solely arose out of pity for what he has had suffered, not from an attraction out of any other factor. Same can't be said of arnav though. I feel he is letting himself get immersed in the moments spent with her, enjoying them without feeling the need to show them. And that's what love is or how it happens, letting the moments themselves carrying it forward.

Hi Pooja! First, thank you. Your thoughts on the chapter match my own. Khushi is as flawed as Arnav if not more. In fact her love for Arnav arises out of her own guilt and pity she feels for her Shishi's son. But then who decides how to love? People love differently and I guess most of us are insecure because we don't accept that. And Arnav, I leave his feeling to you to interpret. He is as much a puzzle for me as for the readers.
