Chapter 7
After Arnav, Khushi and Akash left for office, the Raizada ladies sat down in the living room for some chit chat. Sheetal had already went out saying that she has some shopping to do.
Few minutes later, Payal came and sat with them reading some magazine. Nani, Mami and Anjali looked at each other. They didn't know what to do. Should they start a conversation with her or let it be. Nevertheless Anjali decided to include her in the conversation as she didn't want to offend Payal.
Anjali: So Payalji. I heard that you have a chain of seven star hotels. So how is it.
Payal stopped reading the magazine and looked keenly at Anjali. Anjali gulped seeing her intense stare.
Payal (nonchalantly): It is going good.
Anjali (nodding her head): So Payalji, when did you started your business and how was the experience. I've heard that Khushiji started her business eight years back. Did you also started your business at that time?
Payal kept the magazine aside and looked straight at Anjali with narrowed eyes.
Payal: No. We both didn't started our business at the same time. Kuku was always interested in business and...
Anjali(cutting her): Kuku???
Payal: Khushi, we all call her Kuku.
Anjali (frowning): We???
Payal (sternly): Our family. So I was saying that Kuku was always interested in business and fashion designing. So while she was studying in Harwards she started her business there. She was so talented that her business grew soon. Moreover Masaji had a very big business empire and she being the only daughter was the sole heiress of all Agnihotri properties and business. So she was always interested in business.
I on the other hand was not into business much. But later I started liking the idea of a hotel so I started it. But with Kuku's support it was easy. Then once it all started then there was no looking back and now I am here.
Anjali: And modelling. You like modelling.
Payal: It is actually fun. Earlier I used to model for Kuku's designs. Once she introduced me in one of her collections. And it clicked. But now I love the profession. It is simply amazing.
Manorama: Yes, yes, modelling is so much fun. You know I myself has won many beauty contest. If you needs any helpwa. Tell meesh I will help.
Hearing that Payal started laughing loudly.
Payal: Seriously? You know what you are really funny. You will give me beauty tips. You. Have you seen yourself. You look as if you are living and walking makeup kit. You have so much of make up on your face. Oh god, I feel if a small child see you it will surely get afraid. Anyways, no offence, but I really don't want your help. I am an international model. I can't spoil my image by such a horrible sense of fashion and beauty.
Mami fumed hearing her reply. Anjali and Nani, well they were confused. One side they felt bad for Mami but on the other side looking at Mami, they could see how much true her words are, that they felt like laughing. However both somehow managed to control their emotions and stifled their laugh not embarrassing Mami further.
At that time, Anjali's phone rang. Seeing the caller ID her face lit up. Taking the mobile she went a little away and started talking to the person happily. Seeing her happy Nani and Mami smiled while Payal was unaffected.
After talking on the phone, she came back.
Mami: So whose phone was it.
Hearing the question, Anjali shied.
Anjali: Woh.. woh.. Samar ji.
Mami (smiling teasingly): So what was Samar bitwa saying.
Anjali: Woh he has called me to have lunch together.
Mami: So why are you sitting here. Go and get ready and go.
Anjali: But Mamiji how can I go. Who will prepare lunch. Also guests are here. How can I go like that.
Mami: Oh ho Anjali Bitiya why are you worried. I am here na I will prepare lunch. You go. I will take of everything.
Payal was silently hearing their talk all this time. She was smirking mentally hearing that.
Payal: So Miss Raizada, if you don't mind can I ask you something.
Anjali: Of course Payalji. Why are you being so formal. You can ask me anything.
Payal: Who is this Samar. Is he your friend. You know Miss Raizada, I know a few people who used to go behind her family's back to meet their secret boyfriends and husband. I am not saying that you are like that. It's just that when you were saying about going out it just came in my mind.
Anjali gulped hearing her words. It was an indirect taunt. But she knew that she deserved it. It was the bitter truth of her life. She had done it in her life. She had gone behind her family's back for that scumbag and cheated them. Her sins were too big.
Unknowingly all the past started running in front of her eyes. She felt it difficult to stay in the same room. Somehow mumbling that she will go and get ready, she went away from there. But everyone was the unshed tears in her eyes.
Mami was angry at Payal for saying that. But for some reasons she decided to stay quiet. Truth to be told she had nothing to say. Whatever Payal said was true and she couldn't deny it. She was looking at Payal. The time Anjali went being hurt, she saw guilt surfacing in her eyes. But that went away as soon as it came.
She sighed. She can't do anything. She can't side with Anjali this time. Nani was also looking at Payal and Mami. She expected Mami to say something to Payal. But when she kept quiet she was satisfied. Also she decided to answer the question asked by Payal earlier about Samar. Being the member of the family, Payal has a right to know about what is happening in the house.
Nani: No Payal Bitiya. Samar is not Anjali's friend. He is her to be husband. Their marriage talks are going on.
Payal: OK.
Saying that she went away. While walk to her room, Payal thought about the things that happened downstairs. She had knowingly taunted Anjali. But when she saw her tears she felt a bit guilty. But thinking about what she had done, all her guilt went away.
She couldn't forgive Anjali. She is one of the main reason behind all that happened to Khushi and her. She can't forgive Anjali for that.

Sometime later
Mami came to Kitchen for making lunch for everyone. Anjali had gone out sometime before. Payal was in her room and Sheetal has not returned from shopping. So she was left to handle kitchen.
Reaching there she started to take things for making lunch. But soon realized that there is no groceries left. Next moment she came out of kitchen calling for HP. But even after calling for some minutes, HP didn't come. But Payal came out of her room.
Payal: What happened? Why are you calling out for HP.
Mami: Did you see HP. I have been calling him so such a long time but don't know where he went.
Payal: But why are you calling him.
Mami: Woh there is no groceries in home. So I am calling him for getting it from market.
Payal: Oh but he is not at home. I have sent him outside for some work.
Mami: What? You send him outside.
Payal: Ya I had some work with him. So I sent him to do that.
Mami: OK then. Tell him to come and meet me after he come.
Payal: But he won't come before evening.
Mami: What??? Then who will bring groceries.
Payal: That I don't know. Hey wait, I have an idea. Why don't you go to buy groceries. You know these days it is a fashion to go and do simple household things, then filming it and putting it in FB. I have an idea, you go and buy vegetables, I will film, then we can upload it in FB. You know what people will give you likes. Who knows if some director sees and likes, may be he gives you a chance in his new film.
Mami (excitedly): What??? Is it true. Director will give me chance in his film.
Payal: Yes of course. You don't know all these. These days they select new new heroines for movies from Facebook only.
Mami: Then I will now itself go and get ready and come. I will use my new makeup kit also.
Payal: Yes, yes go.
In her excitement, Mami didn't see the smirk plastered on Payal's face.

After sometime, in Market.
Mami was buying vegetables from a roadside vendor. When Mami suggested that they will go to some mall for buying groceries Payal took her to Chandni Chowk market saying that it will gain her more likes. Also she suggested her to bargain nicely with the vendors so that her skills can be shown in bargaining.
So believing Payal's words, Mami was bargaining loudly with the vendors while Payal was filming it. Finally after buying all the household things, they started going back when Payal suggested that they should go by bus so that they could show her simplicity. Even she made Mami carry all the purchase by saying that then only people will like her.
Thus they both went to bus stop. After standing in the hot sun for nearly half an hour the bus came. All the while Mami was holding the heavy bags in her hands because if she keeps it down then it will get spoiled.
But Mami was more horrified after seeing bus. The bus was fully loaded with people not even a single seat is available. That means she has to stand in a moving bus for two hours holding heavy weight as it will take two hours to reach home from Chandni Chowk. Moreover she had sent the driver back home with car.
Payal smirked seeing Mami's condition. Now Manorama Raizada will learn her lesson. All the while Payal was filming Mami.
Somehow after two hours of pure torture for Mami they both came back. Mami was very excited to see her video and pestered Payal to upload it in FB soon.
Seeing Payal uploading it in FB, she was very happy and ran to prepare lunch and sweets to celebrate her achievement. But Mami didn't noticed is the caption Payal gave to her video.

Khushi was sitting in her cabin in AR designs doing her work when she heard her phone ringing with a Facebook notification. Taking out her phone she opened her account to see the video her sister uploaded.
Seeing the video her eyes widened. Arnav who was also with her doing some work saw the change of expression on her face. He came near her and kept his hand on her shoulder.
Arnav: What happened, KAG.
Khushi without saying anything showed the video to Arnav. Seeing the video Arnav's eyes propped out.
"Manorama Singh Raizada's way of saving money"
'Manorama Singh Raizada, maternal aunt of ASR, finding new ways to save money. But the question is why is she doing it? Is it because she wants to save money or is it because she is a ...? But why does the billionaire's aunt have to do all these for saving money.'
Seeing that Arnav was shocked. Seeing that anyone would think that his Mami is a miser who is very picky in spending money. A Kanjoos. A person who won't give a single penny to anyone. Now what will he do. This will not only Mami's but his whole family's including AR's image.
Minutes later, he saw Akash running towards Khushi's cabin. Barging inside he said, "Bhai, did you see Ma's video. It had gone viral on FB. Everyone is asking why Ma is doing all these to save money when we have billions in our account. What will we answer? Oh God. Now what??"
Arnav: Akash relax. We will find a way.
Akash: But Bhai. I don't understand why Ma did all these. I mean buying groceries, bargaining, traveling in bus. I mean Ma never does all these.
Arnav: Yeah. Even I am not understanding it. Anyways we will find a way. You relax.
All these while Khushi was enjoying the brother's misery with a smirk. Trust her sister to do all these. Well seems like Manorama Singh Raizada is getting a taste of her own medicine. What she did to them is now backfiring on her. She made them do all these things. Now she had to pay for her deeds.
Khushi (in mind): Well let's see, Mr ASR, how you save your Mami from this..
So how was it. Well honestly speaking I don't know how it came out. I am not in a good mood. The fan in my room stopped working due to short circuit and the warden in my hostel is not doing anything even after complaining. So I am very upset about it. Anyways hope you all like it.
So how do you think Arnav will save Mami. Also please suggest an actor for the role of Samar. He is a very important character in my story. He will have many shades. Not a negative character in fact you can say a third hero. So please suggest accordingly.
