Chapter 9
Arnav Singh Raizada sat on his car driving to the venue of the New Year party. Khushi and Payal had left for the party before one hour itself. Arnav first thought that when Rohan and Vivek will come to pick them up for going to the party, he will do something to stop them. But for his bad luck they didn't turn up, instead asked Khushi and Payal to reach the venue directly and that they would meet them there. Thus making ASR's plan flop.
Since he couldn't directly ask Khushi and Payal not to go to the party, he was stuck. Now having no other choice he was going to the party to keep Rohan away from Khushi. But another big problem is the person sitting beside him on the passenger seat- Sheetal Kapoor.
It was an unwanted decision. But what can he do. He needs a partner to get entry to the party and in this short notice he couldn't find anybody else. He tried to get some of his models and even some friends to join him to the party but none were available. Finally not having any choice, he decided to take Sheetal with him. He knew the decision is going to have really bad outcome considering the fact that he doesn't know how Khushi was going to react on seeing Sheetal with him that too acting as a couple. The outcome is not going to be good.
But somehow he has to go to that party. He can't let some random guy to be near his wife. So not bothering about the outcome he decided to go to the party.

The Party Venue
Khushi and Payal reached the party before sometime. They saw Rohan and Vivek waiting for them outside the party hall. Khushi knew Rohan from childhood. They used to study in same school in Mumbai.
Being in the same professional circle, they had met each other in few parties and had renewed their friendship. In one of such parties, she had introduced Payal to Rohan and Vivek. So the four knew each other very well and were comfortable with each other.
Rohan and Vivek know that Khushi and Payal are married, even both of them are also very much committed to their own girlfriends. Even Khushi and Payal know their girlfriends and has a good friendship with them.
After greetings both Khushi and Payal went inside the party with Rohan and Vivek. Inside they met the host of the party and few others who were in the same friends circle.
After sometime, Khushi noticed two familiar figures entering inside the party. Even though Khushi expected Arnav to come to the party to keep her away from Rohan, she didn't expect him to bring Sheetal with him. Seeing them Khushi fumed inside.
But she didn't bring it on her face. Ignoring them, Khushi started talking with Rohan smiling. She could feel Arnav's angry stare towards her. From the corner of her eyes she saw him shooting daggers at Rohan through his eyes. She smirked inside seeing him.

Payal was standing at one corner of the party waiting for Vivek who had gone to get soft drinks for them. She saw Arnav entering inside the party with Sheetal. Seeing that even she felt angry towards him.
From the corner of her eyes, she saw her sister ignoring him and talking with Rohan. She knew that her sister would be fuming from inside. She also knew that her sister is well capable of taking care of herself and deal with Arnav on her own. But what disappointed Payal was Akash absence with Arnav. She expected him to accompany Arnav to the party to keep her away from Vivek.
But her disappointment didn't last longer as after few minutes, Akash also entered the party with his partner. But what amused her was the person who he brought with him. The girl looked like a fashion disaster.
She was wearing a one piece dress which was not at all fitting her well built body and the makeup she had used was so much that you could use it for at least one month. Moreover she was wearing a high heels in which she was walking less but stumbling more. Every now and then Akash had to hold her from falling and make a fool out of herself.
Payal smirked seeing Akash's irritated seeing the girl stumbling again. "Now the real game begins, Mr Raizada". Payal thought and smirked inside. At the same time, Vivek came with their drinks. Taking the orange juice from him, Payal looped her hands with Akash.
Akash was put in a big dilemma when his elder brother refused to help in keeping Payal away from Vivek. So after thinking for a long time he decided to go to the party himself and do something on his own.
But the major problem was who to take along with him to the party. After a lot of thinking he decided to take his new secretary with him. His new secretary was a woman in her mid twenties, married with two children. There was no harm in taking her as she was a very descent lady.
But when he asked her she refused him as she had some plans with her family. But then she told him that she will arrange someone to go to the party with him to which he agreed. But when the person arrived, he was shocked. One of his brother's ex girlfriend Lavanya's minions Pam.
The girl was a disaster. Not only her sense of fashion and style, but also her mannerism and way of talking sulked. But then he had no other choice. He has to go to the party somehow and there was nobody else available at this last moment. So even though unwantedly he took her with him.
Entering inside the party, he saw Payal looking at him. He was about to go to her when he saw a man coming near her with juice, who he assumed to be Vivek. When he saw Payal looping her hands with him smiling at him, he felt something burning inside him. Anger coursed through him. How dare that man touch his wife. He fumed.
He was going to teach that man a lesson when he felt someone stumbling over him. Before Pam could manage to make both of them fall on ground and make a fool out of them, Akash somehow managed to steady both of them.
Payal chuckled mentally while Akash cursed his fate. There his wife is happily talking with some man and here he is stuck with this disaster. He felt like pulling his hair and screaming out loud.
Payal could understand what was going on in his mind. So to spice up things more, she asked Vivek for a dance who happily obliged. Both went to the dance floor and started dancing to the slow music the DJ had played.
Seeing that Akash's eyes propped out. He felt like crying. Defeated he went to the bar counter and ordered a glass of scotch for him. After sometime he was heavily drunk. Pam has gone to talk to some other people so he was left alone.
Payal and Vivek had come back from the dance few minutes back. Leaving Payal who was tired after the dance to relax for sometime, Vivek went to meet some of his friends. Payal alone Akash stumbling towards her.

Arnav saw Khushi ignoring him and talking to Rohan. He knew that she must have felt him as soon as he entered the party. Or had she stopped feeling for him. No that will never happen. He consoled himself.
He knew she must be angry seeing Sheetal with him. So he tried to keep Sheetal away and started meeting some of his business clients and friends. But Sheetal proved to be a difficult parasite to get rid off. She clung to Arnav as if he was her personal property. Arnav was hell irritated with her behavior.
He could see his plan backfiring. He was here to keep Khushi away from Rohan but seeing Sheetal's behaviour, he doubted if he would be ever able to do it. He knew Khushi would get angry on seeing Sheetal with him and would only try to be close to Rohan.
He saw his doubts coming true on seeing Khushi laughing and joking around with Rohan. He was fuming in anger seeing that. On the other hand Khushi's anger was also rising seeing Sheetal with Arnav, so she purposefully started talking more and smiling with him.
After few minutes, Arnav excused himself from Sheetal on pretext of using washroom and somehow escaped from her. He saw Khushi going out of the party venue. He followed her. Reaching outside he saw Khushi talking to someone on phone but he couldn't hear the conversation due to the music going on in the party which was a fast number.
Few minutes later Khushi finished talking and turned around only to come face to face with Arnav.
Arnav: Hai
Khushi: Hai, you here?
Arnav: I was invited so thought to come. Is there any problem.
Khushi: No nothing like that. I've heard that you didn't like to go to such parties with loud music.
Arnav: Yeah. Usually I don't go to such parties but today I was free. So just thought to come.
Khushi: Seems like your friend insisted and you couldn't refuse.
Arnav could feel the indirect taunt in her words.
Arnav: No nothing like that.
Khushi: Hm OK then see you later. My friend might be waiting for me.
Saying that she rushed inside before Arnav could reply to that. Arnav also followed her inside. Coming inside he saw Khushi talking to Rohan and then both heading to the dance floor.
Arnav fumed inside seeing Rohan dancing with his wife. At that time, Sheetal came there and asked for a dance. Arnav agreed to her seeing Khushi and Rohan's dance. He went to dance floor with Sheetal.
Khushi saw Arnav dancing with Sheetal from the corner of her eyes. She fumed inside. She started dancing more close to Rohan. On other hand, Arnav was also angry. But the burnt of his anger was suffered by Sheetal. He was roughly dancing with her, pulling and pushing her here and there like a rag doll. His hold was getting light on Sheetal that she felt some of her bones breaking. Even though Sheetal was trying to make Arnav stop, he was not listening to her as his whole attention was on Khushi.
Few minutes later the song ended and a new song started playing. At that time Arnav and Khushi were dancing very closely with each other with their own partners. Towards the end of the song both Arnav and Rohan spin Sheetal and Khushi. But as soon as song ended Arnav pulled Khushi towards him and started dancing with her.
Sheetal who was spinning lost her balance as Arnav left her and fell own ground making a joke out of her own self. Rohan didn't even realize when Arnav had snatched Khushi from him. On seeing both of them dancing he left the dance floor to drink water.
Arnav and Khushi were dancing with each other. Both of their eyes held anger, pain, hurt, passion and love. They were dancing with each other forgetting the world. They were pulling, pushing, spinning and lifting each other. They were so lost in emotions that they were showing each other their emotions in the dance.
Both were looking deeply in each other's eyes. They could feel their emotions. Seeing them dancing madly all others stopped dancing and started looking at the couple in amazement. But Arnav and Khushi were least aware of anything else other than each other.
Finally the song ended and both came back to reality hearing the clap sound from the audience. They felt slightly embarrassed but not showing any emotions they left from there.
Coming down Khushi saw Rohan waiting for her. It was very late so they both went to have food. Arnav also went and took food. After finishing food, both Arnav and Khushi went to meet one client of theirs who was going to invest for their joint venture.
Meanwhile a drunk Akash came to Payal who was sitting alone. He came and sat near her on the sofa.
Akash (smiling foolishly): Hey sweetheart.
Payal glared at him seeing him drunk.
Akash: Why sweetheart? Why are you always glaring at me.
Payal: Behave yourself Mr Raizada
Akash pouted hearing that.
Akash: What is this, baby. Why are you calling me, Mr Raizada. Call me Akashji na like you used to call me. Do you know how much I used to love hearing that from your sweet voice.
Payal: Mr Raizada Stop it. Otherwise it won't be good for you.
Akash: What, baby. Why are you always threatening me like that and what have you done to my sweet Payal. Where did you hid her. Wait let me find her.
Saying that Akash clumsily got up from his place and started searching something behind the sofa, under the table etc.
Payal (frowning confused): What are you doing, Mr Raizada.
Akash: I am searching for my innocent Payal whom you have hid.
Payal: What the hell, you idiot. (Shaking her head) There's no use talking to you. Go to hell. I am going.
Akash (holding her hand): Where are you going, baby. Are you going to that Vivek. Wait I will also come with you. I have to give him a punch on his face. How dare he touch my wife.
Payal: What? Why do you want to punch Vivek. Are you mad.
Akash: Yes baby. I am mad in your love.
Payal (scrunching her nose): Ew. Such a cheap filmy dialogue.
Akash: What baby, why you always scold me like this. Go, I won't talk to you.
He pouted and turned other side.
Payal: Yeah right. Don't talk to me. Go and take care of your stumbling angel.
Akash (confused): Who are you talking about, baby. Oh are you saying about that Pam. Please, don't remind about her baby. She is such a disaster. Do you know she works in the designing section of our company. Still she is such a fashion disaster.
Payal: So you don't like her.
Akash: Like na. I just can't stand her.
Payal (looking intensely at him): But I thought you liked your employees.
Akash fell silent for a moment. He didn't have anything to say. He could just feel her raw pain and hurt in her words. The realisation that he was responsible for her pain hurt him more. An anguished cry escaped his lips.
Akash (helplessly): Payal...
Payal (angry): Enough Mr Raizada. I have heard enough of your nonsense. Stop calling me Payal. I am PAG. And you were searching for your sweet Payal right. Then listen carefully, you are never going to get her because you yourself have killed her. Now stop following me and got to hell. I don't want to see your ugly face. I am going.
Akash: Payal please...
But seeing her going, Akash ran behind her. They were only few seconds left for New Year. So everyone was searching for their partners. Seeing that Payal came near Vivek who was searching for her.
Akash also ran behind her to reach her so that he could see her first during New Year.
Arnav and Khushi returned back after talking with the client and seeing off him who had some urgent work. When they entered the party hall they saw all searching for their partners and some standard together for the final countdown.
As soon as Rohan noticed Khushi he started coming towards her. Also Sheetal was coming towards Arnav from opposite side. Otherside everyone started the countdown.

Akash was running behind Payal who was walking towards Vivek.

Rohan was walking towards Khushi and Sheetal was walking towards Arnav.

Someone pushed Akash making him fall.

Rohan and Sheetal collided with each other making Rohan to hold Sheetal and look at her.

Akash and Payal fell on the ground due to the party with Payal below Akash.

Akash and Payal looked at each other with shocked expression due to the sudden fall.
Arnav and Khushi looked deep into each other's eyes and got lost in it.
Rabba ve, Rabba ve
Rabba ve, Rabba ve.
Rohan was horrified by looking at the random lady who fell in his arms during New Year. Unconsciously he loosened his grip on her making Sheetal to fall on the ground. She cried as the cold floor hit on her back.
Arnav and Khushi were still lost in each other.
Akash and Payal came out of their shocked state when Vivek tapped on his shoulder and helped him to get up. But when Payal tried to get up, she fell once again crying holding her right leg. Hearing her voice both men looked at her and knelt beside her.
Akash (worried): What happened, Payal. Why are you crying.
Akash tried to touch her leg but Payal pulled it away only to cry out in pain.
Payal (angrily shouted): You idiot, it is all because of you. Because of you my leg is broken now.
Akash (shocked and worried): What??? No. No. Nothing will happen to you. It's OK. We will go to hospital and you will be fine.
Payal glared at him hearing his reply.
Khushi and Arnav came out of their trance hearing Payal's voice. Hearing her sister's troubled voice, Khushi ran to that direction making Arnav to follow her. Reaching there, both saw Payal lying on floor clutching her leg and Vivek and Akash scrounged down beside her with worried expressions.
Khushi knelt down beside her sister worried.
Khushi: Di, what happened.
Payal (glaring at Akash): See na, Kuku. This man has broken my leg.
Akash (on the verge of crying): No Bhai. I didn't do anything intentionally. Someone pushed me so I fell on her and her leg got twisted.
Arnav: OK. OK. Akash first of all stop being a cry baby and help. Let's take her to hospital.
Nodding his head Akash came forward to help her. He gulped looking at Payal who was shooting daggers at him. Gulping he knelt down beside her and scooped her up in his arms. By the time all his intoxication was gone seeing Payal's state.
Taking her in his arms, he took her to his car and drove away to hospital. Khushi and Arnav followed him in their own cars. Reaching the hospital, doctors took Payal for treatment while Akash, Arnav and Khushi stood outside waiting. Akash was pacing the waiting room with a worried expression cursing himself.
After sometime, Doctor came out of the room after checking Payal. Seeing him, Akash ran to him.
Akash (in one breath): Doctor, how is she. Is she fine. Is her leg. Did it fracture. It will become fine, right.
Doctor looked at him with raised eyebrows.
Doctor (shaking his head): Relax Mr. There is nothing to worry about. She is fine. And no, she didn't fracture her leg. There was a slight dislocation. We have corrected it. She will have pain for few days. She shouldn't move her legs much for next two weeks. If she take care properly then she will be fine. I have given medicine. Ask her to take it on time. She will be fine soon.
Akash: Oh Thank you doctor. Thank you so much.
Doctor smiled at him and left there. At that time, they saw Payal coming out of the room with a walking aid. Akash ran upto her and hugged her tight.
Akash: Thank God. You are fine. Your bone didn't fracture.
Payal (pushing him away): You idiot. Don't touch me. It's all because of you.
Akash: But your bone didn't fracture na.
Payal: But my legs got dislocated and I can't walk properly for two weeks.
Akash: Hey don't worry. Doctor said that everything is fine. You will be fine very soon.
Payal was glaring at him but Akash was in his own world smiling widely at her.
Khushi (worried): Di, you are fine na.
Payal: Ya Kuku. I am fine.
Arnav: OK then, let's go home.
With that all four of them went home. By the time they reached home, everyone was fast asleep. So they also went to their own rooms and slept.
In all these chaos, Arnav forgot about Sheetal who had accompanied him to the party. After her second fall, Sheetal was having severe back pain. She stood up from the floor glaring at Rohan but before she could say anything to him he ran away from there.
Cursing her fate Sheetal went to washroom to correct her appearance which had got ruined during her fall. After coming back she started searching for Arnav. But unfortunately she didn't find him.
From someone who she knows she came to know that Arnav has already left the party. Cursing her fate, she started searching her clutch for money and mobile phone only to realize that in her hurry burry to get ready she had brought the wrong clutch and she had left her phone and money at home itself.
By the time, almost everyone has already left the party. So she couldn't get help from anyone. Once again cursing her fate, she started walking out of the party. Reaching the main road, she saw that there was no auto or taxi available to get her home as it was past midnight. Cursing her fate, she started walking. She had no other way to reach home as she had no money.
So walking for almost the entire night, she reached Shantivan during wee hours of morning as the party hall was almost on the opposite side of the city from Shantivan. But her miseries didn't stop there as everyone had slept closing the main door and nobody didn't got up to open the front door to let her in. So she had to stay in the chilling cold of January in Delhi for the whole night. Also wearing a short dress only worsened her condition.
So when next morning HP opened the main door to get newspaper, he saw a shivering cold Sheetal lying at the front of Shantivan.
So how was it. I know I took a little bit more time for updating this chapter. Also this chapter and the previous chapter were a bit boring. Please bear with it. One more chapter then a big twist is going to come. So wait and watch.
