Nupur hated his stubble, she had him shave three times sometimes on a weekend

He was actually gone all day with the Singhs next door to a picnic trip with the Gurudwara

Ruchi her husband Pushkar Amma had gone off to one of the Malls in NOIDA to shop
He was in charge of Ruchi's boys, Chandan and Chirag
The younger one napped the older one watched a show on Disney

Amma kind of realized on seeing his expression when he returned from Kamla Nehru Park that her son had made progress
She couldnt bring herself to ask him
She waited... and he waited too

Ruchi had come in on Thursday and she was still jet lagged when he returned from Delhi Univ stroll

Amma busied herself making kachauri

"Brunch ki tayari?" he asked

"Khayiyega?" she asked scooping a puffy golden orb and then pouring out some aloo saag

She added some mirchi ka achar she had made in Mumbai and brought with her

"Arey wah, u made kalakand too? " he asked in awe

"Aap to aise keh rahe hain jaise humne aapke liye kabhi kuch banaya na ho" Amma said a lil miffed
He hugged her tight

"Hum to chaunk gaye" he said

He had bought Suvi breakfast at a DU cafe, bread pakora chai and black forest cake

He wasnt really hungry now

"Baithen beta... start eating" Amma nudged

He squirmed
"Meetha dein aap hamey" he said reluctantly

"Nashta karey bagair gaye aap, 3 ghante pehle aur lautkar bhi mana kar rahe hain?" Amma asked

"Amma... I will eat" he lied

"Did u meet her?" Amma asked

He nodded... and tried to attach a smile later...

Amma saw what a happy smile it was

"Did u tell her, we have been talking?"

His heart raced like a bullet train

"Arey aap unse milne gayin last Friday to JNU unko ehsaas to ho gaya hoga" he said

"That was for the art show" Amma said

She was just unable to bring herself to admit she was considering a marathi girl that had a dubious past

"Phiraaj ko lekar aapko itne sawaal nahi karne chahiye"

He nailed his mother smiling fondly

Amma was caught... she had to ack she went to JNU to "check out" Suvi
Or else Neel's meeting this morning was pointless

"Did u tell her we havent spoken with Nihar?" Amma said trying to muster some semblance of negativity in the situation

"Unhe khud is baat ka ehsaas hai amma... she did quite actually accept the proposal... she just said, we must talk to Neel first" he said honestly, cheerfully

"We" se matlab?" Aap aur woh?" Amma asked devastated

"Nahi AAP aur main" Neel said

I have no idea where Glendora City is I am going to look it up now

We have been having steady heat 40C/100F the last week or so. The kids didnt want to go anywhere so we will just be home, maybe eat out a couple times

I always do a foolish math

"If we had taken a trip it wud be $2000 including air fare, so we can eat out 3 times during the long weekend and still be below $200"

We ate home at night tonight... just wnet to Target for a random browsing... almost bought a maxi dress... but turns out it was BUY ONE get one 50% off... which genius will buy TWO of the same dress?

Is country mein consumer ko ganja karne ke kayi tareeqe hain

Kalpana, I have to go buy fireworks tomorrow... abhi khareeda nahi

And as for us readers Nisha, with you announcing that plans for the long weekend are only around home and eating great food, indulge us please with a couple of ID marathons...fireworks and all thrown in to make it colorful, breathtaking, messy, noisy...you take your pick Big smile
