The Chase

Act Six

Scene 1

Kripa laughed so openly while sitting at the taxi, holding her stomach as if she never had so much fun in her life! It was well worth to see his face when he registered it was her! That dumbo didn't even realize it was her. Ha! That is what you get when you play with kripa Sharma! Even the driver was looking at her from rear mirror with weird looks as if she has gone crazy but she ignored him! Little did she know that Angad had followed her all the way? When she left, he by chance found another cab and followed her.

After having thirty minutes of ride she was beginning to get bored, it was making her sick all the way. She was beginning to feel hungry; they were in some residential area. She thought of exchanging some taxi's or get a train. She made the taxi stop at nearer town centre.

Scene Two

She was now roaming in indoor shopping mall, looking at shops. There were restaurant at the second floor. She took the escalator and decided to wait a bit as there were large queue. She looked over at shopping mall from top, it was crowded. Her eyes caught him, she gasped. It was Angad who was looking through the crowd for her. She quickly bent low, how the hell he reached her! Damn why didn't she see him following her!!! Now she has to get away from him.

Angad was standing in the huge crowd searching for her. Just because of stupid driver he stuck bit behind but nevertheless he saw entering the mall. The taxi would just not stop at the road to get off just because high guarded area! That was the problem in London, there are too many rules to follow and if not you'll have to pay a heavy fine! Or get in jail!

Calm down, kripa! She told herself, you can do it and get away with the crazy monkey and don't let people's weird look get you! Just stay low and get out somehow otherwise he'd search the whole mall hundreds of time for her! But then again this mall wasn't that big! It was small yet posh and modern. She needed to get out quickly who knows he'd go in security office and watch CCTV to reach her!

CCTV, the idea stuck to him. Why didn't I think of that before he thought? As he made his way to the office taking escalators to second floor, Kripa took a quick glance and saw Shiv taking the escalator towards her way. The escalator going down was beside that escalator. She smiled; keeping low she took the escalator and sat one the stairs hiding her face between people legs. They gave her looks, she ignored them. As she reached down, she jumped up and down happily giving a scream of excitement; I made it, oh yeah! Angad looked down towards the voice it was her! Kripa eyes widened as she caught Angad seeing her. She made a run towards the door while Angad took the escalator back to ground floor, running down by pushing people aside. "Sorry, it's important" he said as he pushed away.

Scene Three

Kripa exited the mall and ran down the high street of the town centre. She needed to stay in crowded area as she was running, she saw a costume shop. She went in.

Damn he missed her again? Where he would find her here? This girl was going to drive him crazy? What excuse would she have today?

She was in an empty shop of monsters costume and costumes for Halloween. "Can I help with you anything?" a shop keeper called.

"Yes, have you got something normal that would change my look not in as masks?"

The shopkeeper nodded at her and led her to end of the shop. It was getting hot for her as she passed from horrific masks, they looked so real! There were wigs of every hair kind and it looked damn real, she thought!

She had left! He thought, he lost her again and there was no way she'd return at her apartment for long time! He turned to leave but suddenly bumped into lady dropping her bags. He bent down to pick the bags and said sorry.

Damn! Of the entire world, I'd had to bump into him, she thought miserably as he handed her things but was now praying badly that he wouldn't recognize her as she was wearing red shoulder length hairy wig with long coat covering her clothes. And big black framed glasses to maker her eyes look bigger!

"Thank You" she said making her voice sound as different as she can look down but not at him. She now walked past him quickly and gave a quick glance and then again ran away.

Angad was about to walk away when he noticed something shiny card, he read the card with a shocked face. It was her driving license! She was kripa!! Now he looked at her direction he saw her figure disappearing into crowds!

Damn! He thought then a second a later a grin spreads on his face.

Scene 4

Ha Ha! Man I never guessed I am so good, thought kripa with a smug on her face as she arrived at Hilton Hotel London.

A week passed with out any tension or worries for Kripa and so far Angad. He had everything planned and now it was time to put into action. It was lucky for him that she dropped her license even if by accident. Honey you'll believe it or not we're made for each other as fate will let us meet again and again, Angad had thought. He gave her time to relax with out him and then after a week he'll carry his plan into action.

Like every usual morning kripa turned the radio on while she made a break fast for herself in her own suite. The announcement caught her attention, "We have a missing driving license named of kripa Sharma, found at Orpington Town centre last week. If anyone lost it please contact us now." It was her own license but how did she lost it? She thought. She checked her bags and wallets every where and found none. She felt thank full for the person who found it then again could it be Angad or his tricks to get her. May be she dropped it when she was running away from him. Both ways, she needed to be careful and who ever announced her name in radio means bad news! Who knows he's listening to it right now and get down to station.

And she was right; Angad was in her apartment listening to the radio with a grin spread over his face as he changes his clothes.

She called the radio station and asked for the name of person who reported the missing license, "Mike" she said, "he advertised this only two days ago."

"When can I come to collect the license?" she said into a phone, still suspicious.

"Is this your madam? We need some proof"

"Yes and you can ask me anything"

"You can come in anytime!"

Scene 5

Kripa didn't inform what time she'll chose to come making it much harder for Angad. He spent most of his days hiding inside the studio but the girl won't show up! It was getting hard to control his patience. Just as he was about to go back, a ring bell echoed the studio, he stayed there. Who could be there at 4 am in the morning?

It was her! She came in and was heading towards main office room which was on the second floor. He was standing on third floor watching all this. He bent low when kripa gazed his way, she headed to the office.

"I'd like to thank the person who returned this back? Is there any way I can contact him?"

The man looked thoughtful for a minute then disappeared into tiny room connected from the office and then came a little later, "He'd be here any moments, please take a seat"

She sat. Few minutes later, Angad opened the door grinning at her, "Hey Sweetie!" he observed kripa's face for a moment, he thought he saw something in her eyes but nevertheless ignored it. It was good to see her after a week and she looked so fresh!

"Hello Angad! They told me it was someone called mike?"

"Oh really?" he said still grinning as he approached her, "May be they got it wrong!" kripa stood up and faced him now with a smile on her face. "Shall we go then? I missed you so much!" she said as she drew him for a hug spurishing yet shocking him.

Something is fishy, he thought embracing her back. He felt holding her so tight between his arms and he did. She felt so hard. It then struck to him, horrified he pulled away from her noticing why he felt so strange at seeing her. Dumb founded he followed her outside the studio not making a scene but angry at her? Why the hell was she doing this to him? He loved her and what more she needed to prove her. And now it was his turn to play her back. Once again in his life, he felt hurt, defeated of not being wanted by her lady love.

As they got outside found no taxi or cab waiting for them. "Damn!

How will we find cab at this time?" he said

"Easy!" cried robot kripa, then she made a sound of some loud alarm noises then a second later fell quiet and looked at Angad.

Scene six.

Kripa who was witnessing every thing from the eye of robot, camera hidden in the eye from her own suite was taken back. She saw it directly in his eye, she knew he was hurt and felt he had known it from the time he hugged her but he didn't say anything. She questioned herself why was she doing this? It wasn't in her nature to hurt some one else but then again this is Angad who was her enemy. She felt a pang of guilt arise in her.

Scene seven.

They were back in apartment. The drive to apartment was silent as soon Angad reached there; he immediately fell asleep on sofa. He groaned as he heard the ringing continued. Who could it be this time or the stupid Robot is doing this? His eyes half opened and looked at the clock it was 8am. He got up and lazily walked up to the door with robot kripa following him behind.

He opened the door to find kripa standing there. May be his mind was playing trick on him, he looked back there stood robot kripa and now at the door stood another kripa who was smiling slyly. It could be another robot, he thought.

"What are you standing there gawking at me like a monkey!" she snapped at him as she pushed him beside and entered. It was definitely his kripa but how? Nevertheless a smile appeared on his face.

"Hello Miss World!" said the robot saluting kripa. Kripa muttered something in her breath immediately tapped her head, she went still. Kripa picked her up and threw her down in the basement! While Angad stood there amused.

She turned to him, "Make me a break fast ready at 10.00 and don't stand there smiling. If you want to stay at my apartment for free then you better do what I say!" she said as she closed the door leaving amused Angad. He sighed, why did he had to choose a tricky girl!

I posted the part earlier instead of posting it on Tuesday. If you still didn't get who was the girl in studio, it was robot kripa! Don't ask me why? 😆Love to hear from you and no boring comments! You know what I mean! I'll post Barsaat Tomorrow.
