CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE OF THEIR LIVES: HUM TUM

Rey waited for a few more minutes and then hopped down from the bus carrying his backpack,in search of kriya

Rey (muttering): mera bhi dimag kharab hai,aise ladki ko hi pasand karna tha,jiska screw hi dheela hai!!!!

Rey was searching kriya here and there,he was getting worried more and more... Finally he saw her standing on the beach looking at the waves!!

Rey: seriously,abhi tak beach mein ghumna khatam nehi hua!!!

Rey huffed and went to kriya,held her arm and made her face him!!!

Rey: kriya tum yaha kya kar rahi ho!!!Bus chodne waali hai,aur tum waves enjoy karne baithi ho!!! How can u be so irresponsible,atleast kisi ko baata kar to aati,mein pagalon ki tarah dhund raha hu tumhe!!!

Kriya released her hand angrily: tumhe dhundne ko bola tha maine kya!!! Cant u just leave me alone!!!

Rey (also lost his temper):what the hell!! yaha main tumhare liye itna worried tha,aur tum mujhe hi suna rahi ho!!!

Kriya(sarcastically): ohh!! I am so sorry mr.reyansh singhania,mujhe aati nehi na,tumhare tarah sweet talks karna!!

Rey pulled kriya angrily towards him holding her arm: tum is tarah se kyun behave kar rahi ho!! Maine kiya kya hain haan?

Kriya pulled her arm out of his grasp: don't touch me!!! Aur mujhe tumse jaanne ki zaroorat nehi ke mujhe kaise behave karna chahie!!!

Rey's temper was losing its point: u know wat,mujhe tumhe choone ka koi interest bhi nehi hain!!! U can go to hell!!! mujhe tumhare sath aur ek minute nehi rehna!!!!

Rey went off to catch the bus

Kriya (muttering): breathe in and breathe out kriya,don't lose control like this!!! I shouldn't miss my bus,I should hurry up

But before rey and kriya could catch their bus,the bus has already started

Rey and kriya both saw he bus speeding away at a distance,they ran ,they shouted,but no one heard them,and as their friends were already sleeping,no one noticed that they missed their bus

Kriyansh stopped in their tracks realizing that there was no point in running!!!

They looked at each other,shooting daggers at each other!!!

Rey (sarcastically): wonderful!!! Just what I feared!!! Mujhe utarna hi nehi chahie tha!!

Kriya(angrily): fir utara kyun!!! Mujhe blame karne ki koshish bhi mat karna,maine nehi kaha tha utarne ko!!!

Rey(angrily): meri dimag ghas chadne gayi thi na isliye!!!

Kriya: o just shut up!!! Tum ek ladki ke sath khush nehi reh sakte na!!! bus mein sharon thi na,fir uske sath hi rehna tha na!!!atleast thoda to committed raho!!!

Rey(confusion etching his mind): what!!! Sharon!! Commitment!!! Tum kya bakwas kar rahi ho? Aj bakwas karne ka theka le rakha hai kya!!!

Kriya : o plz rey,don't act too smart!!! I have seen u professing ur love for her in the beach today!!! Sharon is such a sweet girl,tum uske sath to loyal raho!! Tumhe kya itni si bhi sharam nehi aati!!!

Kriya was walking off,when rey again pulled her towards him,holding her arm,kriya tried to release her arm,but rey's grasp was tight

Kriya(was getting hurt due to his strong grip): u r hurting me rey!! Leave me!!!

Rey(his jaw tight,anger dripping from his tone): And u have hurt me kriya,so let me make this very clear,don't u dare ever question my loyalty or my commitment!!! I will never break sharon's trust and will never be disloyal to her,I will always love her!!!

Kriya;s eyes were getting watery,listening to rey's claim of loving sharon

Rey: But I love her only as a friend,only as my best friend!!! And whatever date decorations u have seen there,it wasn't for me and sharon!!! It was for sharon and ... Swayam!!! And don't u dare tell about sharon and swayam to anyone,I have promised her not to tell anyone,par tumhari aur bakwas mein nehi sun sakta!!!

The realisation was hitting kriya all of a sudden!!!

Rey: aur tumhe itni problem kyun ho rahi thi,mein agar kisi ko apna girlfriend bana bhi lu,because according to u,there is nothing between us,right!!!!

kriya had no answers to him...

rey: just wat i thought!!!

Rey released her arm roughly and went off

Kriya (muttering to herself): very good kriya,apna bohot ache se mazak bana liya hain,ab aur mat karna,kuch mat bolna ab

Kriya quietly went behind rey

Rey went to a hotel,talked to the manager,whole time kriya was standing near the stairs

Rey came to her(still angry): ek room ka intezaam ho chukka hai,agar tumhe aur koi drama nehi karna,then shall we?

Kriya was trying to say something again,but rey didn't gave her the time to respond and went off to their room

Kriya huffed and went inside the room

Kriya still by the door: par ek room kyun?

Rey(sarcastically): wo kya hain na kriya madame,mujhe pata nehi tha na,ke tum bus miss karne ki mission mein ho,agar pata hota fir apna poora luggage leke hi utar ta!!!

Kriya: u don't have to be so sarcastic,mujhe bhi bus miss karne ka shauk nehi hai

Rey: haan wo to dikh hi raha hai!!! neways tum shukaar manao,ke maine apna backpack bhi bus ke upar nehi rakha tha,warna room chodo,beach pe raat guzarna padhta

Kriya (in her mind): show off,humesha sab cheez ki credit leta hai!!

Rey: kuch kaha?

Kriya: nehi to

Kriya(complaining): par yaha to sirf ek bed hi hai,koi couch bhi nehi

Rey(huffing): tumhe beach mein sona hai?

Kriya shook her head: I was just telling

Rey: mujhe bohot neend aa rahi hai,I am going to bed,tumhe bed pe sona hai to well and good,agar nehi to khula asmaan ke neechein beach taiyyar khadi hai

Kriya rolled her eyes and sat on the bed

Rey has already closed his eyes,but wasn't sleeping yet

Kriya: rey suno,tum bed ke us taraf rahoge,it's a partition,mein ustaraf nehi jayungi,tum is taraf nehi aayoge,okay?

Rey: sure thing

Kriya(in her mind): itni jaldi maan gaya,koi sarcastic comments bhi nehi,chodo achha hi hai,I am also tired!!

Both of them drifted off to sleep

In the morning,rey woke up first,and he felt someone was snuggling to him,he looked and saw kriya was snuggling to him in her sleep

A wide grin spread on his face,it wasn't a smirk,it was a genuine smile

Rey(in his mind): kash meri har subah aise hi hoti,jab chup rehti hai,aur bakwas nehi karti tab kitni achhi lagti hai... par dhyan dene ki baat to hai,she got mad because she thought sharon is my girlfriend,ahaaa,uuth pahar ke nichen akhir aa hi rahi hain,dekhte hain kitne din aur lagati hai zameen par aane ke liye

Kriya was waking up...

Rey smirking: good morning sleepyhead

Kriya heard his voice and got up in a jerk,and jumped away from him in embarrassment

Rey: and here,someone was telling yesterday that I should know my boundaries,I should keep a safe distance from them,blah blah blah

Kriya: I was in my sleep alright,it wasn't intentional,so don't boost up ur ego so much,it doesn't need any boosting

Rey: whatever u say and believe

Kriya: faltu ki baatein karna bandh kaaro,mujhe tumhare kaprein chahie

Rey arched his eyebrows: tum to sach mein bohto fast nikli,kitni boldly mujhse ye sab bol rahi ho

Kriya: o god!!! I didn't mean that!!!

Rey coming close to kriya on the bed,seductively: and wat did u mean?

Kriya stammering in nervousness: I was just saying that I need some clothes,and as u have brought ur backpack,sooo I was asking u to let me borrow some clothes for now,bcoz I don't have my money right now,aur tumhare pass bhi nehi honge

Rey: aapke liye jaan bhi hazir hain,phir ye kaprein kya cheez hai

Kriya's cheeks were getting red

All of a sudden,there was a knock on the door

Rey still looking at kriya: come right in

And he looked at the door

A bellboy entered: Mr. and Mrs Singhania,would u like something to order now?

Kriya's eyes were getting big by listening to Mr and Mrs Singhania

Kriya: listen

Rey interrupted her: ya cheese sandwich for both of us,do u need anything more Darling?

Rey was enjoying kriya's anger,and he was deliberately calling her these names to make her more angry

Kriya was shooting daggers at him

Rey: nah,I don't think,that my princess need anything more

Rey: so that would be all

Bellboy: okay sir

Rey: o just a sec, can u tell me when is the bus for Mumbai?

Bellboy: sir there is no bus today for Mumbai,kuch panga ho gaya hai bus drivers ke beech,aap log shayad kal jaa payenge,aj to chance nehi hai

Kriya: what!!

Rey: okay okay,u may go now

Kriya: ek aur poora din tumhare sath!!!

Rey laughing: aur ek poori raat tumhare sath,tumhara snuggle karna aur...

Kriya threw a pillow towards him: o just shut up!!!

Kriya got off the bed,opened his backpack and chose some clothes for her

Kriya: and wat the hell is mr and mrs!!! U didn't even let me correct him,kya soch raha hoga

Rey (laughing): kaun? Ye bellboy kya sochega,aur achha hain na ke married couple samajh rahe hai,warna agar wo jaanta ke tum meri mrs nehi ho,fir bhi mere kapron mein,mere bed par... u knowww,fir wo kuch aur hi sochta na? tum samaj gayi na ke mein kya bol raha hu? Ya fir thode details mein samjhayu

Kriya: koi zaroorat nehi hai,aur apna muh bandh hi rakho

Rey: waise muh bandh karne ka ek aur tareeka bhi hai,u know

Kriya threw the backpack to him: o shut up rey!!!

Kriya went to the bathroom,ad rey was laughing seeing kriya embarrassed,fuming,blushing all within such a short time span!!!

rey(in his mind): this is getting more and more interesting...
