Chapter 15

Next Morning

Someone pulls Yudi's blanket, still busy sleeping Yudi, pulls the blanket back, but instead of the blanket, comes a toothbrush in his hand. Creasing his brows out of frustration he says in sleepy voice, his eyes still closed "bus kuch der aur mom!" "Nahi beta ab tujhe uthna hoga, dekh teri girlfriend tera intezaar kar rahi hai..." says Huda in a girly voice. "Ma ye tumhari awaz ko kya ho gya hai, kal raat ko zada pi li thi kya?" smiles Yudi. "Zada pi li thi!" whispers Huda to himself. "Abey Yudiye ki Mummy ji pi ti hain?", Huda creases his brows feeling weird. "Yudiyeee..." shouts Huda. "Kya hua dude? Kya hua?" exclaims Yudi, in a hurry and sits up on his bed. "Jaldi chal humey report karna hai" "Kiski class hai?" "Major Nayyer ki" "Oh God! Uss muchhad ki! Dude tumne mujhe pehle kyu nahi uthaya?" "Abey itni der se aur kya kar raha tha? Chal chohr jaldi tayaar ho ja ab"

"Alekh bhai hum tayaar hain, chalein ab?" "Apun ko jaane ke mann nahi kar rela hai. Ek to tu ne itni jaldi utha diya" "Humein laga ki agar hum dono jaldi uth jayenge to Major Nayyer ki class attend karne se pehle bilkul ready and fresh honge" "Abey ye Nayyer se kyu darr raha hai tu? Wo zadaich apne aap ko hero samajhta hai khali pili. Chal chalte hain"

As all the cadets reach at the main hall of KMA where they were asked to gather, Huda rests his elbow on Yudi's shoulder and pokes Alekh by saying "Abey qaidi kal raat ko theek se soya nahi kya tu?" Alekh retorts "tujhse matlab?" "Nahi teri aankhon se lag raha hai. Waise ankhein to teri kal bhi kuch keh rahi thi, jab tu Lolita ma'am ko dekh raha tha". Listening to his comment, Alekh looks at him in anger. "Dekh apun kuch bol nahi rela matlab ye nahi tu apun ko kuch bhi sunata rahega" "Arey nahi bhai main kaha kuch bhi suna raha hun? Main to wohi keh raha hun jo maine dekha" "Tu dekhta kuch hai aur dekh kar galat samjh kar bolta bhi galat hai" "haye kya kare koi sudharne wala bhi to nahi hai", he focuses his attention on to Naina.Naina gives him an angry look. "Tu agar apne limits mein nahi raha to kisi aur ka to pata nahi, par haan mujhe der nahi lagegi tujhe sudharne mein" saying this Naina walks back towards her room."Arey Naina, Major Nayyer ki class to attend kar le" shouts Pooja from behind, but it fails to change Naina's determined mind, she doesn't return back to her place.

They all were staring at the empty passage way behind them, through where Naina, few minutes ago ushered away. "Attention Cadets", Major Nayyer's voice takes them by surprise. They all turn to find, Major Nayyer waiting for them to get ready for the class. "Freshers hone ka matlab ye nahi ki aap par leniency barti jayegi, iss baat ke liye main apko pehle se hi warn kar dena chahta hun. In fact main freshers ko lekar kuch zada hi serious rehta hun, thodi si dheel aur KMA ka future pass out, can turn out to be a drain for the country" warns Major Nayyer.

Taking his register, he does the roll call. As he reaches Naina's name, no one answers. "Cadet Naina Singh, I repeat" he says, when he gets no answer, he looks at the students. "Kya baat hai Cadet Singh ko class attend karne ka aaj mood nahi hai kya?" he asks. "Nahi Sir, wo..." starts Pooja, but something stops her when she looks into Major Nayyer's eyes. "Yes Cadet Ghai", he provokes her to speak. "Wo kya hai na Sir ji, Punjaban... mera matlab Pooja ye kehna chahti hai ki Phoolan... mera matlab Naina ayi to thi..." "Par uski tabiyat theek nahi lag rahi thi to maine ussey order dia ki wo ye class skip kar de aur jab bhi better feel kare, aakar - jis bhi class ka time ho ussey attend kar sakti hain" says a familiar voice from behind.

What was the point of trying to provoke Alekh? God please give him some brains.
