Pratigya looked ahead to shore, "You want one" she handed her a jello shot. "thanks" she took it. "how long are you here for?" Maya asked.

"I'm thinking of leaving tonight I miss NY and my friends so.."

"oh why Pratigya stick around its nice having you here, you've become my best friend"

"aww how sweet" she replied. "oh look here comes trouble" she said seeing a bunch of boys

"Hey Maya wanna come for a spin?"

"drop dead lets go from here" she said to Pratigya Both girls got up to leave.

"oh your little friend is she new, haven't seen her around before, are you new sweetheart?"

" I'm not your sweetheart" she fired back. The friends all laughed an mocked , Pratigya realised these guys were not messing about, she could feel fear creeping up on her.

"Shakti leaves these girls alone" he said looking down as he walked. "(tut) Krishna your too soft" hearing his name she looked up. Krishna'

"come on little bro lets have some fun with them" Krishna looked up and saw the girls.

K's look

"bro your drunk, let them go yeah..." he said taking him away, he looked back once and then walked ahead.

"that was close, listen avoid them at any cost they are trouble all of them, even the younger one"

"who Krishna?" she asked

especially him.. the stories I've heard of that lot, its best avoided" Pratigya nodded.

"Krishna go get me some water" Krishna went on his brother's command . "Sharad listen get that girl for me,

Maya?"

"no the newbie" he said . Krishna heard and came back. "why him, I'll get her and not only that I will make her pay for insulting my bro." Shakti chuckled.. "great mate, but Sharad will go with you. "ok, lets go"

"Its late now I should head home, mum will be waiting" Maya nodded "ok let me know if you decide to stay" Pratigya replied "sure" then started to walk on her own, she was near the caves taking a short cut, until she felt someone grab her wrist and pull her into the cave.

"Let go, off me, leave me!" she screamed. "Hey shhh" he called

"Krishna it's you" he locked her in front of him, both his hands on the side of her shoulders. "go home, be safe and away from here, I wanted to make sure you get there ok, its not safe here"

"what's going on?"

"I wish I could tell you , but I can't"

"I haven't seen you for days, is that the reason?" he took a step back and nodded. "tell me why" he shook his head. "please" she placed her hands around his neck. "I want to help you" he sensed the genuine tone in her voice, he held her hands for a second, then removed them off him. He turned his back to her.

(tut) "you can't, no one can go back to NYC and forget about me" he said in strong tone.

"So not nerdy Krishna anymore" she said in a half jokey half serious tone. He fake laughed "Nope he's long gone" he said turning back to her. She straightened her jacket collar,. "ok I'll be leaving then take care, I will be thinking off you", she turned around, walked out of the cave with a heavy heart, what on earth was happening to her, she was on the verge of tears, she couldn't stop thinking about his safety. "Hey Pratigya?" he called from the cave. Hearing his concerned tone, she stepped back in there. Feeling her presence he turned around, their eyes locked, he held her shoulders pushed her to the wall and pressed his lips to hers, she closed her eyes feeling a wave of emotions flood over her, she wanted this moment to freeze forever. He released her lips from his, holding her face he pressed his forehead to hers, "just um.. " he licked him lips followed by a mumble , which made no sense to her, taking a step back he walked out of the cave. Sharad smiled wickedly seeing Krishna come out of the cave "job done bro?" Krishna wiped his tears quickly and nodded, because it was dark the other guy couldn't see his face. "yeah she won't be a problem anymore, its best to forget about her and concentrate on the bigger things" He walked out away , but glanced just once, and saw her dark silhouette leaving the cave. "She walked away collecting her thoughts. " What just happened?" she said exiting the beach area.

"she's home" said Shradha

"beta me and your papa were thinking, this isn't working I want you to come back home with me, Varun will come after, he will spend his summer with his papa." Pratigya listened but her mind kept going back to what happened in the cave. They spoke amongst themselves making decisions for her. "Mum, no need I have decided to stick around here , tomorrow is a new day right?" she said with a soft smile, taking to the stairs. "Right" said her dad, looking at his ex-wife a bit confused. "see I told you she will come around" he nodded feeling better maybe there is a chance yet for him to make amends with her. The next morning the sun seemed brighter, the beach looked more beautiful, and her face lit up when she saw him come out of the water. She picked up her towel and wrapped it around her waist and slipped her dress over her head. She felt nervous all of a sudden, she decided to go talk to him and ask him what happened last night but then stopped. "who is she?" her mind questioned as he was talking to some girl. As they were talking the girl held his hand. From the corner of her eye she saw them talk and immediately felt jealous. "bye Krishna see you around" she said.. "yeah by Cindy" he waved. Just then he spotted her she looked right at him and walked off. He raced over.. "I CAN SEE THE GREEN EYED MONSTER RIGHT BEHIND YOU!!" he yelled. She ignored him. "whateves!" she yelled. He raced behind her and picked her up in nothing but his trunks, and ran towards the water. "hey, are crazy put me down." And he did just that, splashing her straight in the water. "what the hell" she said pushing him back. He chuckled loudly. "you have nothing to be jealous about, you're the one I want" she pushed her hair to the back, listening to him, and suddenly all the anger got replaced with a feeling of relief and happiness. "Really?" she called back, he nodded "of course, now come here so I can show you how much" she smiled and leaped into his arms. He twirled her in the air, she looped his neck grinning happily, her hair splashed droplets all over his bare shoulder and back, then he placed her down steady, their eyes met, he pulled her waist forward, their wet lips immediately met, and she leaned completely on him, as they kissed passionately, their soaking bodies caressed in a sensual embrace. She sighed happily as she leaned her chin on his shoulder.

Varun was playing the x-box with his father when Pratigya came through the front door. "your clothes are all wet what happened?" said her father. "hmm nothing I just got hit by a huge wave, I'll just go get changed." She walked passed them up the stairs. "papa your losing big time" Varun yelled at his dad's lack of focus on the game. Pratigya went into her room and she couldn't stop smiling, "who thought Krishna and me?" she smiled. "I guess life is full of pleasant surprises. He already feels so special ,its been what 10 minutes and I already miss him" she shook her head. "Get a grip Pratigya your meeting him tonight" she smiled happily knowing she will be seeing him later today.

"you look really beautiful in this dress" he said taking a sip of his drink.

His look

seeing his typical boyish look their first date, "

now your brother is gone, so your trouble is over?" he nodded. She smiled and was glad to hear that. They finished their dinner and left the caf hand in hand. Once they were nearing the pier, he pulled her close to him, "I'm really glad you didn't go back home, I would really have missed you" he said rubbing her waist "me too" she said angling her face to him as she caressed his jawline. They both smiled, and kissed. Then he held her hand. "I want to show you something come" she trusted him and went along with him. "Where are we going?" she asked climbing a rock with him. "you'll love it trust me" he said pulling her up with him. "see" he said and she did, the moonlight was shining on the waves, rippling beautifully on the water. "wow that's so pretty" she said. "not as pretty as you" he said placing his index finger curved under her chin and turning her to face him. She looked at him from under her lids. He angled his face and took her top lip into his mouth, just as she did with his lower one, their hands explored each other's , upper body, he held her petite frame in his arms,, she felt a sense of security being in his arms, their bodies felt so acquainted to each other, the way her whole body erupted in goosebumps at his every touch was incredible she was falling for him more and more every day. His lips then made their way down her neck line, she looped his neck giving him better access. Then he inhaled into her neck and rested his head for a few minutes untill he came up and smiled at her. "You smell lovely" he said inhaling into her neck and it made her giggle. "you ticklish?" he asked. She nodded "a little"

"well I'll be seeing to that tomorrow" he winked "as for now, I'll walk you home" she nodded. And he gently wrapped his arm around her waist and they walked back down.

"Where has your didi got to, shouldn't she be home by now" Varun shrugged his shoulders. "dad even in NY she comes home late and sometimes doesn't even tell mum." Mukesh shook his head realising how much things had changed since she was a little girl.

"did you come home late last night I didn't see you" Krishna turned to his mum. "yeah not that you would notice'' he said walking off. "Krishna don't speak with your mother that way"

"back off dad, you can't control me like you use to, I'm not 12 anymore!" he looked to his wife. "well with that attitude we are never going to reach our goal" she shook her head. "I know!"

Krishna stood with his arms crossed, just watching the sun shining brightly, the sound of waves was therapeutic, he was in black shorts, and a white t-shirt with a print on it.

his look

"Hi" she said in a cute tone, wrapping her arms around his waist.

(Her look)

"how are you?" she asked, giving him a kiss on the side of his neck, then resting her chin on his shoulder, He smiled, feeling her cheek pressed on his neck. He gently tilted his head to hers, holding her hands to his chest. "Better now that you're here with me" she smiled hearing that and cuddled him tighter. Holding her hands he turned around, "I thought I was seeing you in the evening?"

"yeah about that" she said holding him around his waist. "I won't be coming, dad is taking me and Varun to see a movie, and I promised Varun I will make the effort so.. "

"oh ok" he replied in a small voice "but hey" she said softly pulling him, and circling him around the side of his waist "I can change my plans if you want to do something"

"that's sweet but you go and enjoy hmm" he said kissing her head and he walked the opposite way leaving her puzzled. "I meant later, why did he have to leave now?"

"Hey Pratigya, you decided to stay yay!" she nodded.

"yeah Maya, I did?"

"I'm glad, anyways what changed your mind?"

"someone very special to me did"

"oh do tell" she said, " I will when the time is right, right now I just want to keep him to myself a little longer" she winked. "oh now I'm curious I hope soon you will tell me who your dating" both girls walked and talked.

"Hey the movie finished early, where are you? call me" she said leaving him a voice message. "Kids that was fun wasn't it?" said their dad as they walked to the parking lot. "sure was" said Varun. "not sure what your didi thought she seems preoccupied with her phone" Varun looked at his father, "dad you should know girls her age are married to their phones" Pratigya heard that "haha very funny, but I do have plans now so I'm going to leave, I'll see you both at home" she walked off then turned around to her dad "maybe we can do it again sometime. "Dad"

"y-yes that would be great beta" he said happily that he was making a break through with her. Varun too smiled. She smiled at both of them and headed off, she quickly got changed into a long summer dress, she loved those that came up to her feet.

He kissed her lips thrice "I missed you today" he said touching his nose to hers.still dressed as her was from the morning, "I'm here now so we can make the most of it" she said capturing his lips again, their tongues twisted together, she wrapped her arms more around his neck, as the kiss deepened, he enveloped her slightly lifting her feet off the sand. " I love it here with you " she said hugging him, resting her cheek on his chest. "Hmm I do too" he smiled kissing her head "so how was the movie with your dad?" she looked up at him.

"yeah good I guess " they held and hands and began walking further up, " actually speaking of that why did you leave so soon, I came to spend some time with you before the movie but you left suddenly"

"did i?" he said not really acknowledging her question. "yeah I feel like there e is a part of your life that I don't know much about" he turned to her "I will tell you everything once the time is right I promise, right now I just want to enjoy this, us" she was quiet. "I just feel like you know so much about me and I don't really know anything about you" she let go of his hand. The loss of contact bothered them both. Looks were exchanged but not words. "ok, ok listen" he took her hand again. "what do you want to know?, hmm.. I was a maths geek as you know, I love swimming, my favourite colours blue, yours is red"

"oh you remember that?" she was surprised at his memory. "yeah of course, you use to have a red book, red pencil case, red ribbon, red shoes and you did mention in class that its your favourite." "wow I can't believe you actually remembered that. " he smiled "of course I do" he said softly. "so what else do you remember about me?" she said holding his one arm with both her hands, and leaning her head on his shoulder as they walked. "I thought this was about myself when did it become about yours" he chuckled. "I just want to know how much you know me" she giggled, squeezing his arm, "but hey if you don't want to share something with me then its ok, I completely trust you and if you don't want me to know then that's fine"

"ok then, I'll tell you something even you don't know about me" she scrunched her face. "oh ok.." he stopped and looked at her. "that I'm.." he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear . "very much in love with you, now I can't imagine myself life without you in it, i've falling so deeply in love with you Pratigya" she was silent and just taking all of it in. "if you don't feel.." he said looking down afraid of rejection.

Part 5

"dad do you think di will want to come camping with us tomorrow?" Mukesh chuckled. "nope, from what your mum tells me she is quite girly it won't be her thing. "ok" he replied.

Both were sitting up on the sand, with their feet flat, her one hand was resting upon her right knee, as the other was occupied in his, his attention turned to her resting hand, he gently pulled it, "why do you wear so many rings?" he said playing with her fingers. She giggled looking down at them, then looked to him "I love rings, but that you wouldn't know it became my favourite thing in New York"

"uh hmm.. he said pushing her hair to the back and turning his full attention to her, "and what's your favourite thing here?" he raised a brow, she looked up slowly, feeing the corner of her mouth being caressed by his thumb, which made its way slowly to rubbing her bottom lip and pulling it down "do you really have to ask" she said welcoming his eager lips to hers. Both her hands gripped his face, and her middle fingers kept brushing at his ear which made him smile whilst they kissed . They become so relaxed, he lowered her on the sand, his lips found its favourite spot on her neck which he kept sucking on, making her bite her lower lip and gripping his hair tight. She was laying straight and he was trying to keep off her, but they were so into each other, his one leg came in between hers, his bare foot rubbed on her ankle. She was so lost in his arms, her hands caressed his lower back and she didn't know when they slipped under feeling him up and down. He gripped her thigh through the thin fabric. He could feel his lower body respond to hers in its natural instinct. He reluctantly broke the kiss and slide his lower body off her, She too controlled herself by squeezing her legs together, but both their upper bodies were touching still as they were in a cross shape.. She opened her eyes, and they shared a coy smile. She caressed his forehad, followed by his kiss on her temple. "Its late, I'll walk you home?" he said which she nodded to. "yeah good idea" she sat up, she adjusted her dress, and he pulled her up by the hand. Then they embraced. He inhaled her.. "the things you do to me honey, I just have to ahem.. stop myself from taking you right here" she lifted her head to look at him, their eyes locked. And she softly kissed his cheek, and then the side of his neck. "I love you" she whispered. "just so you know it's not one sided, what you are feeling, so um ahem if you want us too.."

"hey, I want to but when the times right" he said kissing her forehead. "There is no pressure on my side." She smiled and hugged him tightly. "Listen have you ever been in a serious relationship, you know back in the big apple?"

"I have had boyfriends but, never been this close before, or felt this way about anyone in my life, its crazy i..." he silence her with a kiss. "Me either, I mean I've had relations but nothing compared to what you make me feel when I'm with you" she smiled, and both were glad to hear that they have only been serious with each other. " let's go" she held on to his hand and walked with him.. she stopped all of a sudden. "um five more minutes won't kill anyone" she said calling him with her index finger, with a cute expression he couldn't say not to. "your such a tease" he said fastening his mouth to hers, she looped his neck, as he fully wrapped his arms around her waist keeping her balance on him in a passionate lip lock.

"Varun , its late let's go look for your sister I'm getting worried now" he said looking out of the window. "daddy chill, she will be home you need to relax for godsake, oh I want to talk with mummy can you please dial her already" his father turned to him. "oh yes of course." He began to dial the number. "hi you busy?.. Varun is missing you, I ll just give him the phone" Varun eagerly took the call. Still in each other's arms, they stood at the cave area. "Mwah!" she kissed his lips. Pressing her nose to his.. "will I see you tomorrow?" she asked, he nodded. "you bet" then pulled her close for another kiss, their hands touched and fingers knotted together they smiled whilst doing so sharing a few quick kisses. Realising it was almost 11pm she untangled herself from him, but they were still holding hands. "Bye "she said dreamily, walking back and letting go. He waved her off.. She walked back the exit of the beach coming close. "Pratigya?" she smiled seeing Maya. "are you and Krishna an item?"

"who told you that?" she said getting nervous remembering the other day on her phone call to him , they promised to not tell anyone about each other just yet.

"no, we are just friends"

"hmm kiss all your friends like that do you" Pratigya smiled to herself. "ok yes we are but you can't tell anyone we promised each other we wouldn't but yeah where dating" she smiled she was so happy.

"don't, he isn't who you think he is.." Pratigya looked up.

"what, what do you mean?"

"just he's bad news, I don't think you should go there, he's into dodgy business" Pratigya let out a little laugh.

"really dodge business and Krishna.. I think you got the wrong guy"

"Listen to me P..

"no you listen to me, Krishna he is the sweetest guy on this planet ok I know him from a long time, gosh, he helped people with their maths homework , the guy doesn't have a mean bone in his body." Maya could see Pratigya getting fired up.

"your right sorry I don't know, what I'm talking about my bad"

"that's ok it happens"

"so you and him its serious?"

"yeah, it is, I love him and he loves me, I've never felt about any guy the way I do about him, its real, I'm really happy I didn't go back home otherwise this might never have happened" both girls went on talking.. Then Pratigya left from there. "I wish you did go home, you don't know what he is really about, I wish I could tell you, but you won't believe a word your blinded by him"

Mukesh unlocked the door, there was a jacket on the sofa, and 2 cups. "Um Varun why don't you wait in the car, I will just ask your didi if she wants to come out to dinner with us, Varun left. Mukesh went up the stairs, he twisted her door knob.

Part 6

That evening she came home and sat with her father and brother and played the x-box making an effort to spend time with them. Then in the morning she went to the park with them. "I'm happy that you came beta, I hope there is hope for us still" she nodded. "me too". They left the park and came home. "are you sure you don't want to come to the zoo with us. "Positive I'm just going to hang out here with my laptop" her father smiled "ok dear we will see you in a few hours "Varun let's go!" she saw the car drive out, she immediately dialed her phone. " Hi baby, so I'm alone you want to come over?..

"yep honey I'm on my way"

"ok I'll see you, soon. Love you"

"love you more" she smiled at his comment then cut the line. Her heart started beating fast when she heard the door bell, she raced down the stairs.

"Hi" she held his lower neck as she greeted him with a welcome kiss. "hey cute dress" he said kissing her again.

P's look

" thanks baby,come in" she closed the door, and held his one hand with both hers and lead the way. Sitting down on the sofa. " how are you?" she said rubbing his cheek. "I'm good now that I'm here with you" she smiled, as his lips pressed against her cheek. "do you want a drink?" she said getting up. She poured them both a glass of orange juice and bought them in a tray. They spent sometime together just talking on how much they both miss India. "it's a deal then once we've saved up we will go back home" he nodded. "Good" she came close to him, and rested her head on his shoulder. He held her close and closed his eyes for a few seconds. Then they mutually looked at each other. Their eyes locked passionately. She started to ruffled his hair, and he came close and they began to kiss, her arms looped around his neck, his hand slipped on to her waist, as the kiss deepened, his hand slipped on to her knee making her dress ride up, from all the closeness their bodies yearn for more contact, she removed his jacket as she kneeled to the side of him. His hand fondled her butt cheek through the fabric. She sighed feeling his hands all over her. She gripped his shoulders and balanced herself on to his lap, straddling him. They both stopped and came up for air. She looked around feeling embarrassed. "Juice?" is the only thing that came out of her mouth. He grinned. "ok" she leapt of him, feeling all hot and red and handed him the glass "who plays that?"

"hmm" she said turning around looking at what he was seeing. "oh the piano?" he nodded. "Me, I mean I use to play" she said taking a sip of her own one.

"that's great, you don't anymore?" she shook her head "no", she sat back down next to him and he covered her with his arm. "oh.."

"that's a shame I would love to hear you play" she turned to him. "really?" he nodded.

"I don't know.."

"come on.. for me?" he pouted. "ok..just for you" she said turning but not before he stopped her and kissed her again, "now you can go" she smiled. "It's been a while so don't laugh If I don't do it right" he chuckled "you'll be fine" she lifted the top and took her position, she played perfectly, nothing changed she played as good as she always did. "wow bravo, that was amazing.. come here and give me some loving" she sprinted over and their lips met. "Hmm orange juice" he said tasting it off lips. "You know playing again felt really good" she smiled. "you know no one has been able to get me to play and you did it in seconds you are my good luck charm" she squeezed his face. "I must be " he winked capturing her lips again.

Krishna came home all happy about seeing her again in the evening and even more so about their plans to spend the whole day together tomorrow since her dad is taking her little brother on a day's outing. "Hello brother?"

"Shakti, your back already I thought you were due next month"

"I thought you are glad to see me, from your tone it sounds like you prefer I stayed away hm.. Krishna's lips broke into a smile. "Don't be silly welcome home bro"

"Listen tonight I need a favour from my lil bro" Krishna's smile dropped but he faked it in front of his elder brother.

Pratigya waited for Krishna at the pier but he was a no show, she called him a few times but there was no answer. She was about to leave when she saw him. "Finally I was getting worried where were you" she hugged him. He gave her a subtle smile. Then made to face her "why didn't you stay home with your family?" her face became puzzled, when he took a step back.

"because we made plans" he was quiet keeping his hands in his pocket.

" what's wrong earlier you were all over me and now you won't even come close to me?"

"Look I um, just go home spend time with your family that's why you've come here right? then in a few weeks you ll be"

"what's going on, why are you talking like this"

"Like what, I don't have time for this, I'll catch you around" he walked off leaving her confused. What just happened? I mean did that seriously like happen. What's going on with him something's not right with him. That night she couldn't sleep she didn't know why he treated her that way, she felt so down, but more she felt anger. "Fine whatever I'm not going to keep thinking about him. She thought as she woke up in the morning. She wanted to go and hang with Maya but she was unreachable. She kept checking her phone every five minutes, to see if he messaged but there was nothing. She just wished for it to ring or a message from him to say something. She had to leave the house she was going mad. "you going somewhere, only you invited me over yesterday" he said smiling. "So who was I talking to yesterday your twin brother, who just brushed me off like I was nothing!"

"can I come in?"

"No!" she slammed the door shut and ran upstairs into her room. Krishna stood waiting and hoping she would open the door. "I'm sorry can we just talk please?" she heard him yell. He waited for an answer, thinking he blew it he was about to leave untill the door opened. "Fine say your piece then you can go" he walked in. She folded her arms, "well I'm waiting" he walked over and sat on the sofa.

"ok, I have major family issues, atleast your father wants to talk to you, mine, doesn't even care, infact they only care for the inheritance, twice now I have been made a target. He said putting his head in his hands. She walked over to him and sat on sofa. "but I've met your mum she seems really nice. "My mum left the world 5 years back" she looked down lost for words what can she possibly say to make him feel better, compared to his family hers weren't that bad. "Oh my god I had no idea, I'm so sorry" she said feeling bad for him, he sniffed, "since then my dad doesn't care, they are just waiting for me to the sign them over my mum's estate which she left to me which is worth millions" She was feeling so bad for him at 18yrs he is dealing with such situations, "I can't believe it that someone would be so cruel, and I'm sorry for doubting you" she pulled him into her arms.

you're the only real thing in my life that makes sense to me" he said rubbing her back as he leaned his cheek on her shoulder. He loved feeling her comforting him, he lifted his head , "I love you" he held her face and kissed her lips, she missed this, she got lost in the kiss, she just wanted to comfort him and take his pain away.

"Varun I'm sorry we came back early, but your sister I don't know I feel like she looked really upset so I want to make sure she is ok before we make a proper trip at the end of the week ok?" Varun was not please they came back early from their camping trip. He shrugged his shoulders and left the car.

"Papa when did you get back I thought.."

"Don't call me papa, how could you, what you were about to do?" Krishna quickly slipped his t-shirt on. "it's not what you think I wouldn't do that, I was not going to go all the way and.. Krishna cut in.
