He was indeed an inspirational figure. Got an opportunity to interview him once at a scrum after a speech at a local university here. Not only was there pin drop silence when he spoke, people simply gaped awestruck at the obvious pride with which he spoke of the country he loved so much. His positive take on indias teeming Billions, his vision of strengthening rural india, the hope he had from youth...it was simply awesome.
