CHAPTER 8

For the next few days, Ananya didn't talk to anybody. She locked herself in a room and kept on doing something. She used to come out only when she felt hungry. Akash asked her the reason for this behaviour but she never replied. One night, Ananya suddenly started singing and dancing around the house. Akash and Anshi came running to her room and Akash asked in a sleepy voice, "Pagal ho gayi ho kya? Chaar din se aawaz nikal nahi rahi thi aur aaj haalla macha rakha hai." Ananya was so happy that she came and hugged Akash. Anshi and Akash looked at each other with wide eyes. After a few seconds, Ananya realised what she was doing. She immediately backed off and looked around with embarrassment. Akash said with a teasing smile, "Dekho apni harkateen sudhar lo...main us type ka larka nahi hun .." She said, "Vo sorry thodi excitement mein...actually mujhe na ek bohot achi cheez mili hai...ek aisi news jise sunkar tum pagal ho jaoge." Akash looked at her and asked, "Kya baat hai?" Ananya replied, "Mujhe un sabkilocation ka pata chal gaya hai." Akash became so happy that out of happiness he too hugged Ananya. Anshi looked at them with weired expressions and said, "You know what! Aap dono hi paagal ho.." They both looked at her with a smile and Anshi said, "You guys continue...main chali sone."

Ananya then started telling Akash about the information she got. She said, "Mujhe pata chala hai ki ye log Wanderlust mein ek hijack plan kar rahe hai...par the problem is ki aajkal ye jo Rohit hai ye kaafi dhyaan deta h security par. If you remember vo baar baar hume lecture deta h security par?" Akash nodded. Ananya continued, "To ab mere khayaal se koshish karenge ki ham sabka dhyaan kahi sur lage and iske lie hi they have made a plan to meet. Meeting hogi 3 din bad Jaipur se 20 Km dur ek chote se gao main...vahan hum inhe maar sakte hai." Akash nodded and said, "Nahi! Hum inhe vahan nahi maar sakte...firstly hamaare paas koi proof nahi h and secondly inhe maarna itna aasaan hota to problem hi kyat hi." Ananya asked with a confused expression, "To ab?" Akash said, "Phele hume pata karna hai ki is sab ke peeche reason kya hai...hume inki meeting mein hui baton ka pata karna hoga." Ananya raised her eyebrows, "Vo kaise?" Akash said, "Main apne informers ko bol deta hun...vo log pata kar lenge." Ananya nodded her head and asked, "itne hum kya karein?" Akash said, "Ab dekhte hain phele ki kya hota hai...phir sochenge aage kya karna hai." Ananya said, "Thik to phir...let's wait and watch." Ananya and Akash then went to sleep.

Next day, Ananya and Akash had a flight to Chennai. Rohit was also travelling as a passenger in the flight. Ananya was feeling very uncomfortable as he was continuously staring her. After the flight landed, all the passengers came out but Rohit stayed there. He slowly came to Ananya and asked, "So, kaisi chal rahi hai tumhari nayi job?" Ananya was about to say something when Akash came from behind and said, "Achi chal rahi hai sir and I guess abhi ye thak gayi hongi to you can talk to her later. Right?" Rohit made a face and left. Before Akash could say anything, Ananya left.

At the hotel, everybody was waiting for their room keys when Ananya noticed Rohit. She said to herself, "Hey bhagwaan! Ye aadmi to isi hotel main hai...god!!!! ab kya karun? Haan kisi se bolti hunk i mere saath room share kar le.." She was about to leave when she again thought, "Are nahi nahi! Larkiyaan to vaise hi paagal hai iske liye...ye bolega aur vo chup chap room chodkar bahar chali jayengi... na baba na ye to dangerous hai...kya karun?" Ananya was thinking about the solution when her eyes fell on Akash. She immediately went to him and said, "Listen! Tum mere saath room share kar lena ok?" Akash was really shocked. He asked, "Kyun?" Ananya rubbed her nails and said, "B...Bus main kh...khe rahi hun na...please.." Akash noticed her restlessness and agreed.

After they entered the room, Akash said, "Ohk so finally kuch rest!! Hai na?" Ananya was thinking about Rohit so she didn't reply. Akash clapped in front of her and she realised that he was saying something. She asked, "Haan kuch kaha?" Akash looked at her for some time and asked in a low voice, "Kya baat hai Annie? Tum thik ho na?" Ananya nodded and immediately went to take a bath. Akash thought, "Kuch to hai jot um chupa rahi ho...par kya?" Ananya and Akash then ordered lunch and decided to take a small nap. After that they thought of going out. While they were moving through the market, Akash got a call and left to answer it. Ananya was standing and waiting for him when a hand grabbed her and pulled her into a car. Although she was a trained officer but as soon as she saw the man's face, she felt numb. She was not able to react. The man was none other than Rohit. He said, "Kya baat hai...apna bodyguard rakh liya tune to. Khair! Abhit to vo hai nahi...ab kya karegi? 5 saal se intezaar tha is mauke ka..." Ananya was really scared. Rohit was about to kiss her when Akash broke the car's window and dragged him out of the car. He was so angry that he started beating him. Rohit somehow got up and got into his car and ran. Everybody gathered and started asking Ananya about her condition. Many of them didn't know Hindi or English so they were not able to communicate. Akash came to Ananya and helped her in getting up. Ananya immediately ran to the hotel. Akash was really confused after the whole incident. He came back to the hotel and decided to talk to Ananya. He knocked at the door and said, "Ananya darwaaza kholo." Ananya said, "Mujhe thoda time do...please." Akash too thought of giving her some time, so he left. At night, Akash came back to the room. This time he didn't knock but entered the room. He came inside and saw that Ananya was sitting in the balcony. He went to her and cleared his throat to grab her attention. Ananya looked at him and smiled. Akash too smiled and sat beside her. He asked, "Ye sab kya hua tha?" Ananya acted of being normal and smiled and said, "Are kuch nahi! Ye sab to normal hai...dont worry." Akash now asked her very seriously, "Annie please...main tumhe 2 mahino se jaanta hun...hamesha dekha hai ki tum kis tarah Rohit ke samne ghabra jaati ho...hamesha tumhari smile ke peeche ek raaz chupa hua dekha hai...tum bohot funloving ho par tum kabhi kisi par trust nahi krti...kyun?" Ananya gave a deep sigh and said, "Aaj pheli baar kisine mujhse aise baat ki hai." She looked at the sky and continued, "You are right! Main kabi kisi par trust nahi karti...my dad...he was a doctor. Unki ek car accident maein death ho gayi. Meri mom ne sabkuch bohot ache se sambhala. Mere collage mein ek larka tha, actually he was Rohit. Vo humesha se mere peeche para tha but maine use ignore kia. Usne bohot baar mere saath batameezi ki. Mujhe us se bohot dar lagta tha. Usi ki vajha se maine apna collage badla. Hum rent par rehete the. Ek din hume pata chala ki jis ghar mein hum rehe rahe hain uska maalik ghar khaali karna chahta hai. Humare pass apna koi ghar nahi tha. We needed a house. Tab main 20 saal kit hi. Humne socha ki hum dusra ghar dhund lenge. Tab main ek Varun naam ke larke se mili. Vo bohot hi helpful tha. Usne hamari ghar lene mein bohot help ki. Mom ko bhi us par bohot trust tha. Dheere dheere he became a very important part of our lives. But one day, we came to know ki usne hume jo ghar dilaya tha vo actually kisi aur ka tha and vo log police ko lekar ghar aaye and said ki humne unke ghar par kabza kiya hai. After a lot of problems jab humne Varun se iske bare mein baat ki, he said ki vo humaari sirf ek shart par madad karega. Shart thi ki main uske bhai se shadi kar leti. Uska bhai was Rohit. Akash was shocked to hear her story as he never expected something like this. Akash asked, "Lekin Rohit ko tumse itni kya attraction thi?" Ananya smiled and said, "Mujhe pata tha kit um ye puchoge...Actually Rohit ko ye bardaasht nahi tha ki koi use ignore kare and mujhe use ignore karne ki saza mili thi...aur ab, jab main waapas aayi hun to vo mujhe usse shaadi na karne ki saza dena chahata hai." Akash raised his eyebrows and said, "Kya ajeeb log hai duniya mein." Ananya smiled. Akash asked, "Tum iske against kuch nahi karogi?" Ananya nodded, "Main yahan thodetime ke lie aayi hun. Aur koi problem nahi chahti... you know kabhi next time vo mujhe uske against action lene ki saza dene lage." Both laughed at this. Ananya then looked at Akash and said, "Ek baat kahun?" Akash said, "Bolo" Ananya stood up and moved forward and said, "Pata nahi kyun par mujhe tum par trust ho gaya hai...maine aaj tak ye baatein kisi ko nahi batai hai." Akash too stood up and said, "Koi baat nahi...tum mujhpar trust kar sakti ho. I promise main tumhe kisi baat ki saza nahi dunga." Ananya turned and hugged him. Akash then said with his usual teasing smile, "Par haan ye sab karna band karo...maine kaha na main us type ka larka nahi hun." Ananya burst into laughter and Akash hugged her very tightly.
