Naina (completely incredulous): You what??!!

Abhimanyu: Naina humari baat samajhne ki koshish kijiye.

N: Enough Abhimanyu. If it wasn't for your role in proving Navin Bhaiya and Rajveer's innocence I am not sure what I would have done to you.

Next day Abhimanyu goes to apologize to Naina. But he is surprised to get an apology from Naina instead.

N: Abhi I am really sorry. I love Rajveer sir with such an intensity that the thought of another man repulses me. But what my love has taught me is that this emotion can never be wrong! So I shouldn't have reacted the way I did.

A: Naina I am sorry too for surprising you like that. We spent so much time working together on Rajveer and Naveen's cases. I initially began to admire you. Slowly over time that changed into love. Naina, if it's an issue of time, i am willing to wait.

N: Abhi that's really sweet of you. But in this and all my lifetimes I'll only love one man. Rajveer Singh Shekhawat.

Shera and Chaudhury are part of the rogue group of the army that have kept Rajveer in captivity. They have tried torturing Rajveer for information for 5 years and turning him into a rogue agent. But with no success.

Shera: This man doesn't break an inch.

Chaudhary walks in excitedly.

C: That's becasue we have been targeting the wrong thing. What's Shekhawat's only weakness in the world?

S: Naina Singh Ahluwalia.

C: Exactly. Our man who trails her has sent an exciting bit of news. Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan has proposed to Naina.

R (thinks): Naina i am missing you a lot today.

The door opens and C and S walk in.

C: Shekhawat kya mila tumhe desh bhakt ban ke?

S: Tumhari identity tum se chhin gayee. Aur an

Rajveer (sharply): Aur ab?

S: Aur ab tumhara pyar bhi kisi aur ka ho jayega. Tumhari mehbooba ko kisi ka marriage proposal mila hai.

C: Kisi ka nahi. Balki Ajmer ke Kunwar Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan.

Rajveer's head began spinning. Abhimanyu and Naina??!! It couldn't be.

S: Surpised kyun ho Shekhawat. Naina aur Abhimanyu dono ne kitna time saath bitaya hai. Naina ko sahara dete dete, Abhimanyu ko usse pyar ho gaya hoga.

C: Aur Naina. Jawaan hai, khoobsurat hai. Kuch zarooratein hai uski.

S: Jodi made in heaven.

Before Chaudhary could finish his sentence, Rajveer was at his throat. They had to call in more men to subdue Rajveer. Chaudhary was brutal in beating him. But Rajveer didn't feel any pain in his body, The pain in his heart was all consuming.

Rajveer was lying slumped in his cell. It had been 5 long years since he had last seen Naina. The last time he had hugged her. The last time he had come close to telling her what he really felt for her.

But he had stopped short of expressing his love to her.

Rajveer (thinks):

And yet my heart expects her to wait for me.

Because I know that she loved me.

She loved you. She loved the man who was a captain in the Indian Army. A man who had a bright future ahead of him. How can you expect her to love a man who has no present and no future?

But my heart says that she is waiting for me.

Rajveer closed his eyes.

Abhimanyu got posted to the HQ in Delhi. He met Naina before leaving. They parted as friends. Naina knew that she had hurt Abhimanyu. But she also recognized that there would never be another man in her life. No one after Rajveer.

Naina got her next orders to go to Jammu and Kashmir to lead an important mission to eliminate terrorists from a village near Poonch. She was excited at the prospect of undertaking such a challenging mission.

She was greeted at the Poonch Army Base by Lt. Yuvraj Sahni.

N: At ease Lt.

Y: Good morning ma'am. I hope you have had a chance to see the briefing that I sent you.

N: Yes Lt. That was very useful. The only thing I am struggling to understand is how such a notorious racket is taking place right under the nose of the army.

Lt Sahni opened his mouth to say something. But he stopped short as he saw Captain Dhawan coming towards them.

Dhawan greeted Naina enthusiastically and personally took her on a tour of the base.

A few nights later Naina sat reflecting on everything that happened since her arrival in Poonch. She couldn't pinpoint why she felt so uncomfortable around Captain Dhawan. She suddenly remembered how Lt. Sahni had stopped speaking just as Captaim Dhawan had approached them. She called Sahni to her room.

Y: Good evening ma'am.

N: It's after hours Lt. Please call me Naina.

Y: Yes Ma'am. I mean yes Naina.

N: Yuvraj, did you want to say something to me on my arrival at the base? And you stopped short of saying it as you saw Capt Dhawan approach us?

Y: Naina, woh.

N: Yuvraj I know that it's hard for you to trust me.

Y: Ma'am it's not a question of trust. But what I want to say may end up being too controversial and I don't have solid proof. Permission to speak off the record?

N: Granted.

Y: Naina, I think that Captain Dhawan and a few other officers of our regiment are actually helping the terrorists. I have seen ammunition and weapons vanish from our inventory. We have ended up being ambushed by terrorists in missions that were meant to be top secret.

Saying this he took out an encrypted drive and shared the proof he had managed to gather thus far.

Naina was shocked when she saw the drive. Then again she reminded herself how rogue elements in the army had cost Rajveer his life.

She turned to Yuvraj with a solemn face.

N: Yuvraj prepare a small task force. Only the people you'd trust with your life. We are going to monitor the activities of Capt Dhawan and his cronies and catch them red handed.

The task force set out to find the link between Capt Dhawan and the terrorists. A golden opportunity came their way when they got a tip that the Capt was going to visit his handlers during the wedding of a local leader's daughter.

Naina: I am going to attend this wedding while keeping a purdah over my face.

Yuvraj: And ma'am the rest of us will come disguised as civilians.

N: No Yuvraj. We are very well known in this area. Pulling off a disguise is going to be hard enough for me, but impossible for all of you. You'll be a part of the back up. That's an order.

Reluctantly the team agreed to Naina's order.

The day of the wedding came along. Naina was able to stay close to Dhawan. Suddenly she saw him sneak outside. She knew he was going to meet his cronies and she decided to trail him.

As she followed him, a strange fear crept in her heart. Captain Rajveer's voice loomed in her head.

R: Naina, never under-estimate your enemy.

Naina paused for a moment and looked around. Before she could react she found herself surrounded by 10 men. She fought bravely but wasn't able to keep up with 10 people.

Her weapons were taken away and hand were tied and she was dragged away. She was taken to a small room where she saw Capt Dhawan sitting with the infamous terror lord of the reason.

D: Naina ma'am aap aa gayee?

N: Dhawan this won't end well for you.

D: Who'll save you? Your rag-tag task force which has already been stopped.

N: Even if I die, your life will become hell. The worst punishment of the land is reserved for traitors.

Dhawan started laughing viciously.

D: Of course you would know. The two most important men of your life were branded as traitors.

Naina spat on Dhawal's face. Infuriated Dhawan put the gun on Naina's head.

D: It's time for you to join your brother. Are you wondering why I didn't mention Capt Rajveer?

Naina was shocked.

Before she could say anything a back up army unit stormed the room and over-powered the terrorists. Lt. Yuvraj had had the good sense to call for back up before getting caught.

Dhawan ran out of the room and Naina ran after him.

N: Dhawan this is pointless. The unit will catch up with you.

D: And kill me? And with me, the secret of Rajveer Shekhawat's death will also die. Or should I say his life?

N: Dhawan tell me what you know!

But the next moment Dhawan had swallowed a cyanide capsule.

Naina ran towards him trying to prevnt him from dying. But within seconds he was dead.
