Kung hei fat choy to you too! This was a very interesting perspective on the mother son duo. The impact of Anjali's disappearance on the family is catastrophic. They did not come together to grieve but the person who could have hold it all together, decided to not gather her family and comfort them. I am not saying she is wrong in not giving up hope on finding her again one day but she abandoned everyone emotionally in her quest. She is there in person but not in spirit. She is consumed by rage at the child who she holds accountable for her daughter's disappearance. The effect of this behaviour drove her husband away, created dysfunctional children who may be functioning normally in day to day tasks but are emotionally scarred. Poor Akash! Not sure if he is drinking because of the divorce or because dragon lady mum sent his wife packing by making her life hell. Arnav shoulders on the family responsibility but is not allowed to have his own life. The grandmother is helpless watching her family's suffering. The only hope I see is in the uncle and aunt. I do hope Arnav goes to visit them and find some support and love that are lacking in this mother. Who cares about an uppity social status when your children are suffering? Why is she living for the one who is gone and not being a mother to the 2 who are around her, dying for some love and attention? I am sure we will get to know her more in future updates but at the moment, I do not like her much.

Anjali's disappearance has terribly affected the family. Aarti has driven everyone away in her grief and anger. I doubt Akash drinks only because his divorce and it's heartrending to read how the family has shattered.

Excellent build up.

Brilliantly written. Poor Arnav, he had to hear so much from his mother because of khushi. I understand that his mom has gone through a lot and hates but she was being mean when she wasn't understanding Arnav's explanation. But I did feel bad for the entire family even his mom for still dealing with the tragedy as there is no closure. The story is becoming really interesting. I wonder when will Arnav and khushi meet again and what will be Arnav's reaction to it. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this update. :)

Loved it! Though I do feel like Aarti is being a little bit unreasonable. I can understand that she's still hurt and grieving, but taking it out on Arnav and thinking he's been disloyal? she's not thinking straight..
