Viren did not realise when he fell asleep. One minute he was asking Jeevika to forgive him and the next he was waking up on the bed to the oh-so-familiar sound of his beautiful wife bringing him tea.

"Good Morning Virenji! Aapki Chai!"Jeevika said with a smile.

Viren was confused. Why is Jeevika suddenly in such a good mood? She wasn't even ready to talk to me till a couple of hours back.' Even though Jeevika was smiling it was clear that she hadn't slept all night. Her eyes were sunken and her face looked worn out.

"Virenji aap aise kya dekh rahe hain? Aap chai pileejiye, main baaki sabko bhi deke aati hoon."

"Theek hai!"

Just as she was about to leave the room she turned around and said, "Aur haan! Breakfast bhi ready hai. Aap fresh hoke aajaiye. Main "tab tak Mannu aur Virat ko bhi chai dedeti hoon. Pata nahi uthi bhi hai ki nahi!"

Jeevika went to Manvis room but before she could knock Maanvi opened the door.

"Di! Aap yahaan? Main toh aap hi ke pass aarhi thi!"

"Haan Mannu! Woh breakfast ready hai! Virat uth gaya?"

"Haan Di! Bass aa hi raha hai tayyar hoke!"

"Devar ji Jaldi aaiye! Breakfast tayyar hai," Jeevika yelled and took Maanvi to the kitchen!

As Jeevika and Maanvi were setting the plates at the table Maanvi said "Di! Aap theek ho na?"

"Haan Mannu! Main bilkul theek hhoon. Mujhe kya hoga?"

"Nahi di woh Sheena.."

"Chorr na Mannu ! Dekh jo ho gaya woh ho gaya. Jaane de!"

"Di! Aapne chorr diya hai? Aap jiju se naraaz nahi hain?"

"Mannu main..."

"Bhabhi! Main jaanta hoon aap Bhai se naraaz hongi. Aapko bura lag raha hoga ki unhone aapko kyun nahi bataya Sheena ke bare mein. Lekin Bhabhi..."

"Virat Please! Dekho main Jaanti hoon tum dono ko meri aur Virenji ki bohot fikr hai. But fikr karne waali koi baat nahi hai. Sab theek hai! Tum dono baitho aur Naashta karo!"

"Theek hai Di! Arre dekho Jiju bhi aagaye... Good Morning Jiju!"

"Good Morning Saali Sahiba!"

"Hogayi shuru tum subah subah! Jiju jiju jiju! Shaanti se jeene mat dena tum mere bhai ko!"

"Arre maine kya kiya? Good morning hi toh bol rahi hoon! Tumhe meri harr cheez se problem hoti hai na!"

"Tumhe pata hai tumhaari good morning bhi kitna annoying hota hai? Chuhiya!"

"Haww .. tumne mujhe chuhiya kaha! Khud ko dekha hai? Langoor!"

"Haan haan.. main langoor. Tum toh badi sundar ho!"

"Woh toh main hoon!"

"Sundar? Kis angle se? Baat karti ho na toh aisa lagta hai jaise chipkali ki body mein bandariya ucchal rahi ho!"

At this point Viren and Jeevika had to intervene. "Bass Bass Bass! Kitna ladte ho tum dono." Viren said.

"Sach mein. Subah subah shuru ho gaye! Baitho aur khaana khao! Virenji Aap bhi baithiye!"

As Jeevika was setting the table Viren was looking at her, hoping to understand the sudden change in behaviour. But Jeevika did not meet his eyes even once. Whether she was avoiding him or was really so engrossed in preparing and serving the breakfast to everyone Viren didn't know. He could feel the tension. He knew that she was acting fine but wasn't. Even when she was eating breakfast she didn't even look at him once. She was smiling and talking to everyone, even answering his questions but without looking him in the eyes.

"Haan Virenji, Main bilkul theek hoon. Aap kitni baar poochenge." Jeevika whispered as she got up the clear the plates.

"Viren Virat! Aap baccho ko aaj Chandigarh ke liye kab nikalna hai?" Beeji asked.

"Beeji BHai aur main soch rahe they ki abhi ek ghante mein nikal jaate hain. Abhi niklenge toh andhera hone se pehle ghar pohoch jaayenge."

"Haan Beeji! Waise bhi raat ko Jeevika aur Maanvi ke saath aise long distance travel karne safe nahi hai." Viren explained as he got up and started helping Jeevika put away the bowls.

"Bilkul theek kaha beta. Theek hai. Tum dono bhi jaane ki tayyari karo."

Jeevika however said, "Beeji woh.. main soch rahi thi ki kuch din yaheen ruk jaaun." Jeevika's words stopped Viren in his tracks. He was standing right behind her and froze exactly where he was. "Dabbu aur sweety ki abhi abhi shaadi hui hai, sweety ko ghar mein adjust hone mein time lag jaayega na. Main hongi toh woh zaada comfortable feel karegi. Aur phir pata nahi waapas kab aana ho." Jeevika explained further.

Everyone was taken aback. Most of all Viren. She doesn't want to go back with me? She doesn't want to go home?' Everyone on the table knew the reason for her decision but no one wanted to interfere in the matter. Even Sweety chose not to say anything despite having the most inappropriate timing of all.

"Parr Jeevika tumhe yahaan aaye hue kaafi din hogaye. Tere sasural mein sab kya sochenge." Beeji said.

"Beeji bass kuch din. Please!"

Beeji looked at Viren who slightly nodded at her.

"Theek hai Jeevika. Jaisa tum theek samjho!"

Viren placed the curd bowl back on the table and went to his room. It felt like Jeevika was drfting away from him by the second. However, Maanvi and Virat didn't leave the table even after everyone else had.

"Di aap aisa kyun karr rahe ho?"

"Haan Bhabhi! Ghar chalo. Aise bhai se dur rehne se toh aapki duriyan bass badengi."

"Arre tum dono aise hi soch rahe ho. Aisi koi baat nahi hai. Main bass kuch dn aur yahaan rehna chahti hoon. Ab tum dono jaao. Tumhe waapas jaane ke liye packing bhi karni hai. Jaao!"

Jeevika knew that Maanvi and Virat would not argue with her. But Viren... He had understood by now that Jeevika was trying to ignore him. She knew that he would not allow it. He wpuld not let Jeevika go away from him. But what could she do. She didn't want to even think about sheena and Viren but everytime she looked at hime all she culd think of was the fact that he had almost married Sheena. She knew him well enough to know that he would not have gotten engaged to Sheena had he not been in love with her. Jeevika just needed time to wrap her head around the fact that Viren was in love' with Sheena... the one person she had hated the most in the world. She loved him but right now that didn't seem to matter much. At that moment that fact wasn't worth much.

"JEEVIKA! Mere phone ka charger nahi mil raha. Please dekhdo kahaan hai." Viren called out from their room.

"AAI VIRENJI."

She quickly put away the last of the contents of the table and went to their room. As she entered her room she couldn't see Viren anywhere. His phone and charger were both lying on the bed but Viren was nowhere to be seen. Then she felt it. Him. Behind her. He took her hand by the elbow and pulled her back. Before she could grasp what was happening her back was pinned to the door and Viren had both his hands placed on either side of her head such that he was acting as a human shield around her. And above all.. HE WAS SHIRTLESS!
