Jeevika had no idea how long it had been since she had been staring at him. She had been married to him for almost 2 years now but he never ceased to take her breath away. Through all this time he had always told her how beautiful she was but the truth was that she was more amazed by him than he was by her. His perfect torso, sharp cuts, amazing build and to go along with that his angelic face. She had often heard that a person's eyes are the window to their soul. She didn't know about the rest of the world but his eyes were definitely the window to his soul. Atleast to her they were.
Jeevika had always taken great pride in the fact that she was Viren Vadhera's wife. And even after everything that had happened last night, atleast that hadn't changed. She was still looking at him, his body still wet from his shower, jeans hanging loosely from his waist in an oh-so-perfect manner and water droplets slowly falling of his face. She could feel the back of her throat go dry.
"Virenji" her voice was a whisper, barely audible to her ownself.
"Jeevikaji" Viren said as he etched a little closer to her, if at all that were possible. She could feel his breath on her lips as well as he could hear her heartbeat getting louder by the second.
"Aapka charger bed pe pada hai."
"Accha? Maine toh dekha hi nahi." Jeevika could hear the smile in his voice and She had no idea what was happening. Viren slowly lifted his hand off the wall and tucked a strand of Jeevika's hair behind her ear. He leaned in closer to her ear and slightly kissed her below it taking her by surprise.
"Aap kya karr rahe hain?"
Without moving at all Viren said "Tum Chandigarh nahi aarhi, toh tumhaare saath kuch time spend karr raha hoon." As he said this looked moved his face half an inch back to look at her. Her eyes were closed and her lips were parted. Viren was completely aware of the effect he had on her and was planning on taking full advantage of it.
"Waise tum Chandigarh kyun nahi aa rahi?"
"Woh Virenji... ummm..." Forget giving him a convincing reason, at that moment Jeevika couldn't even remember her reason for not going back.
Viren slightly pulled Jeevika from the wall and spun her around such that her back was to him. He pulled her hair from her neck and put them over her right shoulder so as the clear her neck and left shoulder completely. He placed a soft kiss on her shoulder and could feel her shudder in his grasp. "Bolo. Sunn raha hoon main."
"Woh dabbu... sweety... Beeji..." Viren smiled as he placed another kiss at the nape of her neck and Jeevika understood his game. He knew that she ouldn't be able to even think straight in such a situation forget lying to him. That was something she was incapable of even when she was in her full senses and Viren's presence was intoxicating to her. This wasn't fair!!
"Yahaan Sweety ko meri zaroorat padh sakti hai. Aur mujhe kuch aur din Beeji ke saath bhi rehna hai."
Viren again spun Jeevika around to face him. "Aur tumhaare pati ko tumhaari zaroorat hai, uska kya?" She looked at him, his face, his expression and she could see the anxiety behind his expression. She could see he was worried about her, about their relationship and she was reminded of everything that had happened in the last 12 hours.
"You'll survive", She said as she freed herself from his grasp.
"Without you? I really don't think so!"
"You'll be fine!" Jeevika turned to leave.
He caught her by the hand and stopped her. "Jeevika tumhe mujhse baat nahi karni hai mat karo, mere se jitna naraaz rehna hai raho, lekin tum ek din aur yahaan nahi rahogi. Ghar toh tumhe chalna hi padega."
"Mujhe yaheen rukna hai."
Viren took a deep exasperated breath and let go of Jeevika. He went to the bed and started packing his bag. "Theek hai. Yaheen ruko. Beeji ke saath. Dabbu aur Sweety ke saath. Main ghar jaa raha hoon aur ab tumhe lene nahi aaunga. Jab aana ho khud aajaana."
She couldn't believe her ears. "Kya kaha aapne? Aap mujhe lene nahi aayenge? Koi farak nahi padta aapko?"
"Arre tumhi ne toh kaha ki tum yaheen rukna chahti ho. Tumhaari hi baat maan raha hoon. Ruko yaheen. Tum ladkiyan na bohot ajeeb hoti ho. Baat maano toh mushkil na maano toh mushkil!"
"Aapko sachmein lagta hai ki yeh chahti hoon main?" Jeevika walked towards Viren and pulled his arm to turn him around to face her. "Itna hi jaante hain aap mujhe? Aapko sachmein lagta hai ki yeh chahti hoon main?"
"Haath chodo mujhe packing karne do." Viren knew exactly what he was doing. He knew convincing Jeevika would have never worked. She could be really stubborn when she wanted to.
"Main karwaati hoon aapki packing." She opened the bag Viren had just zipped up and started taking out all the clothes from it. She could barely see what she was doing through the stream of tears that was building up in her eyes. She started throwing everything out one by one, aiming them all at Viren. "Mujhe yahaan chodke jaayenge aap. Khud aajana'. Samjhte kya hain khud ko?" Viren could barely hold his smile as he tried dodging everything that was coming flying his way. He had never seen her like this.
"Jeevika.. Jeevika.. Jeevika.." Viren was struggling to get a word in.
"Haan haan aap toh chahenge hi ki main yaheen ruk jaaun. Sheena jo Waapas mil gayi hai aapko. Main hi pagal hoon jo soch rahi thi ki sab theek ho jaayega... "
"JEEVIKA! BASS! AB MERI BAAT SUNO!" Viren grabbed her by her arms and pulled her towards him. "Bohot ho gaya! Sheena Sheena Sheena! Kal raat se ek hi baat ko lekar baithi ho. Bass ho gaya ab! Dekho toh ki kya nikaal nikaal ke fek rahi ho mujhpe."
Viren wiped Jeevika's tears off her face to and made her look around. It was then that Jeevika realised that Viren had actually packed her bag and she had just thrown all her saris and suits at Viren one by one.
"Itni heavy saris tum pehenti kaise ho. Pata nahi kis kis mein kya kya laga hua hai. Mujhe lag jaati toh?"
Jeevika looked at him in surprise. "Ab iss sab ko waapas pack karo and tayyar hoke bahar aao. Mera bag already car mein hai."
"Kyun"?"
"Kyunki Hum ghar jaa rahe hain." Viren said with a smile.
