Yu Menglong Death: Actor's audio-video to be shown at New York Times Square to keep quest for justice alive

Yu Menglong’s death has created a furore in Chinese netizens like never seen before. On September 11, 2025 Yu Menglong died after reportedly falling down from a high-rise building in Beijing, China. The body was discovered in the compound of the building in the morning, and he was declared dead on the spot. Soon after, two videos went viral where it seemed like Yu Menglong was allegedly screaming for help as he was about to be thrown off the window of the apartment. Netizens wondered how come a totally drunk Yu Menglong was left alone if there were 6-7 people at the party. Also, the window of the flat had netting, which made falling down difficult. People said that skilled workers were needed to remove that kind of shield as no one could tear it down with bare hands.

The two alleged videos of his abuse and physical torture spread like wildfire on social media. In one of them, we can hear the dead actor’s alleged screams as he is being beaten up. In another one, he is trying to escape but gets caught in the parking lot and tortured once again. Actress Song Yiren’s name came up prominently in the matter, and now she is out of the country. The other name that is under immense scrutiny is actor and singer Fan Shiqi. Netizens have claimed that Fan Shiqi was the one who allegedly physically tortured him.

Global quest for justice for Yu Menglong

Now, people from the Chinese Democratic Party that does a lot of activities in the US is planning to run Yu Menglong audio-visuals on Times Square. People can submit non-controversial clips of the actor to share on the big board. The idea is to create awareness about the actor leading the worldwide campaign for his justice. Petition is being signed on Avaaz.org. What people want is thorough investigation into all the parties who were present at that fateful night. And a very transparent report of the investigation done by the cops.

Yu Menglong, the only son of a single mother from Urumqi in Xinjiang studied music and arts in Beijing. The latest most horrifying speculation is that his death video is on the dark web, and his pet was allegedly slaughtered in front of his eyes.
