This is what I call "telling a story" in a way that gives us questions to think rather than telling us how to think. Love comes in so many shades and I can't help but wonder how many more shades you are going to make us discover.
It was amazing how you portrayed the simple fact that life, work and deeds of a person (NK) still live through the memories of so many people. Kushi's dilemma and choices are so human in nature and are in such stark contrast with each other. What a choice of options you have given her to pick between the time machines called memories that take her back and time machines called dreams that take her forward. Moving on and hanging on are two sides of the same coin and your umpiring was spot on so far. We all cannot wait to see which side of the coin would we be facing up after the flip.
Lav - It's getting hard not to search for her in the story. To borrow a quote "A true friend talks freely, advises justly, assists readily, adventures boldly, takes all patiently, defends courageously, and continues to be a friend unchangeably." - I guess the quote was made just for her and adding anything more to that would just be sacrilegious.
Lastly, for all the summer time in the story, it still felt like a day of slow and endless drizzle for me. If not, I am not really sure how I can explain the perfect cup coffee I just had reading this story. You keep it raining and I will promise you that I will keep it brewing.

Mirabell,
Your words are so real, so thoughtful. They make me pause and wonder at the vivid pictures they create. Of a wife mourning her loss, of her beautiful memories, of tenacious best friends and very wise mother-in-laws, of Meera :)
You must understand that with every update, I will spend a few lines marvelling at the sheer beauty of the words you weave. That is a given.
My favourites from the story are the moments Khushi has to herself, where she goes back to a happy time and we get to witness NK, a character I've come to adore. I..want him back, with Khushi, for Khushi. (This coming from a girl who will cry for days if a story doesn't end up with Arnav and Khushi together, or atleast a little hope of that. :P )
Is it strange, I'm not even curious as to what the past might have been. What I am curious about is will that past change anything, does it matter so much to the story? Also, Arnav. Mohan. What is their world like? What happened in Arnav's life? I'm hoping you'll let us know soon.
What else do I say, Mira, I'm speechless. Spellbound. Take a bow, please. I've never come across something like this before.
Love,
Isha
P.S. This is @ishilohx from twitter. I wasn't so keen on making an account but whatever. I see it is a lot more convenient commenting. :D
