I freaked out at the title, ya know. No idea, why. I wasn't even sure of what I was expecting. Just the knowledge that it was coming from you made me take the plunge and dive into it. Partly gathering what all of it was, smiling sheepish when I could make some sense, frowning at the predicted normalcy and focusing on the rarity of it all. The setup.. Cripes, is it the 1980's? I'm fascinated by the maahol you created, however little you gave us there. Then the baraatis were so apt and knowing(?) playing the tunes according (or not) to his mood, but lifting mine, for sure! 😆 Something that really got my attention was her promise that she kept for so long, without being discouraged by his lack of response. And to think, her not doing it actually led to shake his fainant mind, to get him to respond. Ironic? It wasn't intentional though, I guess. Her betrothal being fixed must be the reason why she'd stopped writing to him. And his ignorance(or so she thought) is perhaps an added factor contributing to it, perhaps? And now that he grudgingly accompanies his friend, there's hurt/shock/surprise in the knowledge that she's most probably the Bride of an employee of his. Or she's the Saali? 😕 If this is a two shot, Mathur.. I want it to be up soon and please don't give it a 'Love Lost' take. Please? I'm all nerves thinking what you've planned for us. For them. 🤔

This was darn impressive. You outdo yourself each time, darling. 👍🏼 And I'm not green even though I should be, since I'm your Shareek-e-Hayaat, remember? 😉 So chill and bask in the pride I feel for you. Hamesha.

That is so so wonderful, yet so heartbreaking!

If you hadn't mentioned a part 2, then, I'd still not complain-it still would have been a great standalone piece, even though it is so heartbreaking!
