Chapter 5: Start of something new
Harsh: Ab bas bhi karo Renu. Tang mat kar mere bache ko. Just look at him he's almost about to cry.
As Harsh said this, Renuka turned around laughing and hi-fived with Harsh, leaving Randhir totally confused.
Randhir: Mom, you are not angry ?
Renuka: Nope. Why would I be?
Randhir: Then why did you come out upset?
Renuka: Who said I came out upset? It was time for my gardening session so I came out
Randhir: Matlab you are not angry? You just acted?
Seeing his innocent face Renuka went up to him, pulled his cheeks and ruffled his hair and said "You might be an awesome hero, but we are you parents.We know acting too. Its in the genes. You are a hero in this country my son, to win her heart you need to learn a lot more. And most importantly u gotta become her hero" Saying this she winked at him , took Harsh's hand and started walking, they had almost reached the door to enter home when he called out to her "Mom! Aapko sab pata tha? You don have a problem? Mein teek kar raha hoon na?" he asked
Renuka&Harsh: Randhir Singh Shekawat kabhi galat nahi ho sakta.
Renuka: Lekin shart to yaad hai na?
"Yes mom! Yaad hai" saying this he went up to them and hugged.
"Why do you always forget me. This is the second time today" came a small crying voice
Randhir: Aajao Mishti
She came and the four again hugged together.
Dhwani: Waise what is the reason for this hug?
Randhir: Woh. Woh . haan woh India wala deal almost finalise ho chuka hai. Isliye
Dhwani: Bhai? Ek baat boloon? Aap bhura maane ya na maane! Aap actor kaise ban gaye? You still have a lot to improve for our Indian standards
Randhir was shocked to hear this from Dhwani. He pulled apart from the hug, meanwhile Dhwani ran from there laughing.
Randhir: Iss baar mein tumhe nahi chodunga Mishti
Dhwani: For that u gotta catch me bhai. Catch me if you can!!
Randhir increased his pace and caught Dhwani by her wrist and pulled her and made her stand straight. He looked at her faking anger and finally gave in and hugged her tight.
Renuka: I just hope our family always stays like this
Harsh just sequeezed her hand assuring that it will.
The whole day passed in packing. The Patels came to shekawat's place to bade them adieu.
Since Randhir was going to India on official trip, Jiggy also accompanied him. Randhir insisted the Patel family to send Jiggy as he wanted Jiggy to learn a lot about India as he'd never been there.
Mr. Patel: Randhir, Is your presentation ready? Are you sure about this deal?
Randhir: Ji uncle. Am dead sure we will not be denied of the deal. We will get the feasability report in a week, I just gotta get it checked from that CA and advocate, then the deal is ours.
Mr Patel: Am sure it would be. I wish I could accompany you guys. But if both of you are going then someone has to stay back here.
Mrs Patel: Nothing like that. Its been a long time since we went to India. Last we went for your parents last rights. Since then we've been only here
Renuka: Even now its not late Mr. Patel, we can still book tickets for you
Jiggy: Yea dad. Lets go. Steve, Rachel, Emma and what's his name?
Randhir: Marcus
Jiggy: Ya they will take care. And anyway randhir and me will always stay in touch with these guys to know the operations and progress here.
While Mr. Patel was contemplating the options, Harsh signals Randhir to book the tickets. As if on cue, Randhir immediatley took his phone.
Randhir: Katie Could you arrange 2 more tickets to India on the same flight?
Katie: Sure sir. Consider it done. I will send it across through Flint who will deliver it to you at the airport.
Randhir: Dank einer tonne Katie. Ich schulde dir (Thanks a ton katie. I owe you.)
Saying this he cut the call and informed about this to the Patel family. The Patels left since they had to pack and they had less than a few hours. Soon the Shekwats and the Patels left to the airport. Once they boarded the flight and settled themselves, an announcement was made to fasten their seatbelts as the flight was about to take off.
Randhir closed his eyes and saw a beautiful pair of brown orbs and murmerred to himself "Here I come. How I wish I remember your name"
Jiggy: RD?
Randhir: Haan. Bol.
Jiggy: Tum usse jaante ho? Matlab how does she look now, what she does and all?
Randhir: Khash! I really wish I knew something about her now. I remember only one thing that day at airport I saw those eyes of hers which held so much emotions. Those brown orbs...
Jiggy: RD I know you love her. But what if she does not?
Randhir: Hmmm. It's a chance Jiggy. I really wish she's not yet fallen for anyone else. But if she has I will not come in her way.
Jiggy: Meaning you will just leave this whole thing?
Randhir: Yea. She will be happy right? And I will be happy knowing she's happy. I know its not gonna be easy. Waise tu mera dost hai ya dushman? Kyun anap shanap baat kar rahe ho. Think good, see good, talk good. Then everything around you will always be good.
Jiggy: Lol! Hope I too get my love in India.
Randhir: Acha?
Jiggy: Haan
Randhir: You have never told me what kind of girl you like?
Jiggy: Hmmm. She's just gotta be simple and sweet. In short she should be like your girl.
Randhir: Oye! She's only mine.
Jiggy: RD! first you find her name, then think about the rest Uncle has given you a wonderful punishment for forgetting her and her name. Waise does Mishti know?
Randhir: First I never forgot her. Secondly I have never known her name. I always call her basanti, my parents call her Princess and Dhwani calls her with some other name Meeti i guess. I just know that her surname is Agarwal. Only Mishti had been in touch with her. And moreover, Misthis also not been in touch with her for a while now. So even she is clueless. I tried contacting her brother Ankit. But have not been successful. Mom and Dad wont give us any contact details. So that's the condition and punishment. But Mishti and me are on a deal.
Jiggy: Deal? Kya deal?
Randhir: Dude do I heve to tell you everything now itself. Ab paka mat yaar. So jao. Do din baad meeting bhi hai O&S Industries ke saath. Don give me excuses of jetlag.
Saying this Randhir put his blinders and slept off thinking about Basanti. Jiggy didn't have any other option so he just shut his eyes and tried sleeping.
