I cried with khushi...the truth is bitter...she needed time to come to terms with the truth...garima and shashi are best parents khushi has got, what if she did not share a DNA with them...they are a family...it came as a shock that Arnav knew the truth long back...garima did not mean anything to him...his mother will always be ahalya...finally Arnav and khushi found each other...thanks for the PM

Wonderful update...

You have beautifully tied the loose ends...now everything falls into place. No wonder Arnav was insistent on not taking anything of the Raizada's and it felt a burden to him to do so. He set out to make a life for himself..yet in his heart and his mind the place for his mother always belonged to ahalya who sacrificed her life to protect her children. I can't help but see both his mothers in him the protector that Ahalya was is seen in his sense of responsibility to protect and hold his family, his sisters together by shouldering the burden of the truth for so long. On the other he displayed the character of Greeshma to have the strength to do the greatest sacrifice for his loved ones when though misguided he let go of khushi. The way I see it Arnav is not the son of Arjun Mallik and Greeshma or Arjun Mallik and Ahalya but of Ahalya and Greeshma..

I understand now the disappointment Nani feels with herself for distancing herself from him as yes Ahalya would not have done it. The dusk did arrive but with it I hope khushi's fear of Arnav becoming weak again is gone...the test is done and he did stand by her.

Wish you and all DND readers a very happy anniversary!! Its been such a pleasure to read...thanks for sharing DND with all of us Sandhya 😊

And a very Happy first Anniversary to DND.

This update could be compared to a roller coaster ride of Arnav and Khushi's emotions
Arnav handled the situation beautifully and of course in a mature way
The way he tells Khushi that his mother was the only mother he knew or ever wanted to know was touching!!!!!!!!!!!!!
, subsequently the update became😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳

what a update...khushi just got the shock of being adopted but at least she was loved unconditionally but how much pain arnav endure for last fifteen years that his father borne him out of wedlock ...he will be pained more if he knew how his father used garima...but at least khushi and arnav are together ..and together they can weather any storm...i just love them

That was a fabulous update and your description is by far the best...

When Khushi is like...

Arnav becomes her support..

For he knows that she is his soulmate...

However much she denies...

Her realization that he too underwent a similar upheavel but his reaction was unprecedented given his temperament... helps her to understand the tremendous amount of stress and burden that he had carried all along.. It makes her realize that he too needs her support and both rely on one another for it.

Let me tell you why I had posted the pug with sunglasses that had two tints...

This is my perception of what you would have written...

The pug in your story is named Shadow...

It was quite attached to both Arnav and Khushi though it is a family dog.

Shadow of the family is cast on these two and these two are severely affected.

The coloured glasses in two shades showed two different perspective.

Though connected by other colours they are from the extreme ends of the light.

Thus Arnav and Khushi both are bound even if they are of divergent stream.

The shadow cast upon them connects them and binds them...😉

I dont give Arnav enough credit. Really, I dont.

Inspite of having emotional troubles and a severely damaged past, he is really a sorted out fellow. Yes, I have problems with the way he broke up with Khushi, but shit happens. And you just have to deal with it. Life was cruel to Arnav. A lesser man would have never been able to deal with the troubles he has dealt with. He displayed incredibly maturity while dealing with Khushi in this chapter. Beautifully written, Sandhya!

Oh and yes... before I go... Happy Happy Anniversary.

The Trampled Rose:

Garima's plight, the ordeal she had to go through at such a young age was disturbing. That predatory men like Arjun Malik have existed in the past and still continue to exist is a sad reality of life.
So we finally arrive at the much awaited Prologue..and it impacted me just as much it initially did.The sheer poignancy of that sequence really hits you hard.

This and 'The Sands Of Time' are really the best you've ever written. Stellar..!!

And the grand revelation was a total shock to me. It was Arnav...!! Kudos to you for keeping the secret hidden so well! You know what, Sandy, you should really try your hand at writing Whodunits. I'm serious.

The Sands Of Time:

Love how Arnav was there was Khushi, providing him silent solace with his mere presence! And glad Khushi was able to realize that parenthood is so much more than a biological accident.

The lovemaking was hot!

Happy Anniversary once again...and can't wait for the next.
