oh sandhya, i thought i would be damn relaxed and satisfied after reading chp 49 but iam wrong - i am tooo tooo excited about chapt 50 - though everything seems to be very clear now, but still i have a feeling that there's a lot more to the story -

God sandy! I had hoped that the update will relieve me of some tensions n lift my mood as the mystery of the lady with the baby will be finally revealed!! But the chapter saddened me more! We all know life is seldom fair but it can be downright cruel, is something hard to believe!
The grief one feels for garima is immense! At such a tender age she had to let go of her dreams, her brilliant career, had to struggle to keep her father alive n in all paid a huge price for being a loving caring daughter! Her only crime being that she was a beautiful poor helpless girl! I dont know which one is a bigger sin being poor or being an beautiful orphan girl! Being a girl as it is has become a curse these days it seems!!N i sincerely dont know whom to blame for her plight , malik, ahalya or herself! Malik for being the devil incarnate that he was, ahalya for turning a blind eye to his philandering ways or gareeshma for surrendering without putting up any real fight! I mean she could have come up with an alternative if she hadnt given up so easily!
However m sure ahalya by willingly accepting her child as her own , tried to make up for her husband's sins. A penance of sort! But what were her reasons that she gave to her mother n husband?
And after delivering blows after blows to gareeshma god still didnt stop! Her father for whom she had done everything died, n poor girl didnt even get a chance to bade him a proper goodbye! Plus m sure doctor told her she couldnt become a mother now! N she had to give up her child, perhaps thd only child she would ever have
I mean one cant even begin to imagine the pain the poor soul had to go thru! One blow after the other!! Must have left her totally battered n shattered!!!

So anyais garima's daughter and khushi is perhaps a daughter from shashi's first marriage! As garima cudnt have more children n ananya n khushi are of same age! N two updates bk anya was lamenting the fact that there was hardly any likeness between ahalya n her!!
Lets see how this shattering truth will alter the relationships specially between the three friends!!

Zamindars like Arjun were a common character in those days. But having a wife like Ahalya is not. The wife knows the husband. And in most cases they resign themselves to fate. Ahalya knew her husband raped Greeshma. But she didn't report this to law because she knew she didn't had the chance. She could have turned a blind eye to it and pretend that she didn't knew about it.Or worse, she could have blamed her for seducing her husband. Or she could have simply given her some money and asked her never to return(your second question).

But she did something different. That shows the strength of her character. Its not easy for any woman to accept any other woman's child as your own.

Coming back to your second, had Greeshma taken the money and left, things would have been difficult for her. Why I say difficult, coz it is difficult for an unmarried mother of a few days old baby. Its a harsh world...

Very interesting and emotional update. Can't say that one can have any sympathy for the maliks. The mystery about who the child is still remains!! The past has a funny way of catching up with people. What do they call it again- yeah karma! Indeed karma can be a real b*tch.
