My wait is coming to an end finally!!!!

Sanyukta was stunned to see the person standing in front of herself. The only word that came out of her mouth was, "You?"

Before that person could reply, a sound was heard. It was that of a GUN causing a great hustle bustle in the entire area. Everyone panicked. Someone was dead.

Everyone grew panicky. Sanyukta rushed towards the place where the gunshot sound came from. A group of students surrounded a dead corpse. Yes, the person aimed was dead. HE was no more. His dead body lay still in a pool of blood, face in an unrecognisable condition. Students seemed to be horrified, while the killer was nowhere to be seen.

Students were petrified, unable to be in a position to even think properly. Screams and cries could be heard all over.

When the dead body was clearly examined, people were shocked to know who was actually shot. It was none other than...

JIGGY...

He was dead...

Kaustuki broke down into tears, having no control over her continuous sobs. Her cries could be heard all over. Sanyukta rushed to the spot immediately and tried to console Kaustuki while she herself was stunned and was unable to accept the fact that Jiggy was no more.

For a moment, even Randhir couldn't help a few drops of tears roll down his face, though he wiped them in time.

Police arrived in no time. They ought to do the investigation. After all, the college authorities needed to know how could such a serene crime take place in the acme university.

His face was in such a horrible condition that the mere sight was unbearable. It was nearly impossible to recognise him in that mortal state. While the officers began with their investigation, Sanyukta suddenly remembered that masked person she met moments before.

She sneaked out of the crowd slyly within a few seconds and reached that person.

"You'll have to run away from here right now.", she whispered.

"But how? The entire college has been alerted and there is tight security. No one can sneak out that easily.", he replied.

"You haven't really got a choice. Have you? Just go from here. Nobody should know you came to visit me, HERE.", she snapped back at him.

"But what if they caught me? I'm not any superman kind of person with all those magical powers who could vanish into the thin air just like that. I need help.", he replied in his usual tone.

"When you entered this college, you weren't a magician then either. Now use the same magical powers you used to hover over this place and just shoo away. You didn't need any help then, right? Then why now? There's no one to help you over here anyways. So just disappear.", she muttered losing her calm showing her ever so scary eyes red with fury.

"I came here by myself anyhow but the situation is different now. You know if any police officer finds me over here, you can easily get into trouble. So, YOU will be the one to escort me out of this mess ANYHOW.", he spoke giving her a sly smirk.

She shook her head in disbelief, "You'll have to pay for it very bad. But before that, I ought to clear all this nuisance and we also need to find the killer. He killed Jiggy. He turned the possibly luckiest day of my friend Kaustuki into her worst nightmare; he destroyed an innocent boy's life and played with emotions of all his acquaintances. We'll get hold of him soon."

"Sanyukta, we still have no idea as to those people are here or not. If they are still here, then it's gonna be highly dangerous for you. What if.."

Sanyukta cut him off in the middle, "I'll handle them. First, I need to get you off this place. Quick."

She somehow diverted the attention of the guards and helped him get out of the college in the nick of time. She had a sigh of relief.

As soon as she turned back, she knew she'll have to face a confrontation.

"Randhir, see I can explain.", she seeped into his grey orbs.

"Ya, you indeed need to answer a few questions of mine.", he narrowed his brows.

"Randhir, actually... ammm... ", she stammered.

"What Sanyukta? Why did you run away from the Freshers when you knew your friend needs you the most right now?", he was disappointed.

Sanyukta felt quite relieved.

"So he knew nothing. Thank God, I'm saved from lying.", she thought.

"Now what..?? I didn't expect such an escapist behaviour, especially from a girl like you.", he clearly seemed highly disturbed after that incident.

After all, you cannot simply expect a person who just lost his roommate to an unfortunate incident to play all cool, isn't it?

Sanyukta wanted to tell him that she was not that kind of girl who'll leave her beloved's side in times of difficulty but she knew she'll have to keep mum, especially when she knew...

The troubles were not yet over.

There was more to come..

This night was gonna be a long one.

For the time being, she decided to rush to Kaustuki as her friend needed her the most. She went to Kaustuki and with lots of pleas and cries brought her to the dorm. She tried to calm her down but her sobs never ended.

At last, she slept teary eyed. After making sure she was asleep, Sanyukta made her way back to the area. Crowd was disseminated to some extent but there were still enquiries going on. Randhir was also present there.

Randhir saw Sanyukta coming down the stairs. She still looked quite petrified. Randhir thought that probably, she's also disturbed with the incident. While Sanyukta was worried about what more was about to take place. Her cell phone beeped, "I've got the information. That boy Jignesh wasn't killed by them. They have not yet made it to the college but they'll be there any minute. Stay safe. But we now need to be extra careful. We don't know who is behind the murder of that boy and what the motive behind this murder is. We know nothing of them. I'll keep you updated."

Sanyukta was sweating profusely in the air conditioned hall after reading that text. Randhir observed the tiny creases of anxiety on her temple. She was highly tensed.

As soon as she stepped down the stairs, she trembled due to lack of focus. She didn't know where she was heading to. She was lost in her own thoughts.

She fell into the arms of the yet so charming Randhir, his MCP cum AK-47.

His deep brown orbs were able to bring her out of her inner turmoil for quite sometime. She seemed to travel back into the time, remembering those intense moments where he kissed her cheeks, where they were nuzzling into each other's necks and hugging each other for long. Her cheeks turned beetroot red at the mere thought.

She was blushing and Randhir was busy admiring her. They yet again lost themselves to each other, until they heard Vardhan sir's deep hypnotizing baritone while he was discussing about the unfortunate incident with the dean.

They both came out of their fancy reverie. They were hell uncomfortable around each other. Randhir wasn't able to take his eyes off her blushing crimson cheeks. She reciprocated a cute little shy doll who was not failing to mesmerize the person standing near her with her innocence.

Randhir went upto her amd gently kept his hand on her shoulder, "Kaustuki slept?"

"Hmmm...", came her reply.

"See, don't stress yourself that much. Everything will be fine soon.", he tried lifting her low spirits pressing her slightly.

She could very well understand what he was trying to do but he didn't know the real reason behind her such state of mind. She thought it was better to rush away from him. It was time for action now. She didn't have time to think any other thing right now.

Those people, the actual danger was awaiting her. She had to run. She marched towards her dormitory without a single glance towards Randhir.

Meanwhile, police officers had also left the spot deciding to continue the proceedings the next day.

On the other hand, Randhir was worried for Sanyukta. Her behaviour was making him furious as well, especially after having read that message,

"They're back. Consequences can be really dangerous, they can kill. Hide it." by Mr. X

As soon as Sanyukta stepped onto the staircase proceeding towards her dorm, she heard firing. This time, it didn't harm anyone. The guns were fired up in the thundering sky.

A cluster of monstrous people wearing black masks were firing all over awakening the entire college. They were searching for someone. Sanyukta froze at her spot. She didn't know what to do. She hid herself in a corner and tried to sneak away.

Randhir was hell worried for Sanyukta. She needed to be safe. He looked for her wanting to make sure that she reaches her dormitory safely.

While Sanyukta was still trying to run away from these black clothed and masked creatures. As soon as she was about to turn through the staircase hiding, someone caught hold of her wrist.

This time, it wasn't Randhir.

That person covered her mouth with his hands with a black cloth and dragged her secretly into the jeep. He signalled the other men out there and they swished away to some other corner of the city in no time.

No one knew what had been happening all the while.

SANYUKTA HAD BEEN ABDUCTED..!!
