when I first read the comment of segad, the answer which immediately came to my mind was khushi can be a curious person / or being childish in nature (doing what we are told not to do, especially after considering the past they have shared and the role of arnav in breaking what was blooming in her heart) but I didn't want to express my thoughts out and enter into any sort of argument in the thread -Originally posted by: Mirabell
You raise a good point. Khushi is a trained researcher who is fully aware of the dangers here.. and yes, rationally and logically she SHOULD NOT be following Arnav into the forest when he expressly stated that she should stay in the jeep. Here is my take on her choice:First - she is a curious person [which in my opinion is what drives any research - curiosity] and that curiosity is what takes her away from that jeep.. to investigate.. so to expect a curious researcher to sit in the jeep while a lot of ACTION is going on ... would not be possible [certainly not for me].Second - While the details of their past are still unknown to us as readers, we DO know that they HAVE a past.. and if that past is as emotionally embroiled as the updates have indicated thus far, then expecting her to sit while Arnav goes off into this action-filled scene is also not possible [for me].Third - while this may sound childish, some of us are more likely to do things that we are asked not to do .. especially when commanded.. and here while Khushi's behavior tat-amounts to being childish, it is still plausible to me...I liked your post.. it made me question and revisit the chapter.. so I post my response.. This is in no way challenging your opinion.. just sharing mine.. :)--MB
