First - she is a curious person [which in my opinion is what drives any research - curiosity] and that curiosity is what takes her away from that jeep.. to investigate.. so to expect a curious researcher to sit in the jeep while a lot of ACTION is going on ... would not be possible [certainly not for me].

Second - While the details of their past are still unknown to us as readers, we DO know that they HAVE a past.. and if that past is as emotionally embroiled as the updates have indicated thus far, then expecting her to sit while Arnav goes off into this action-filled scene is also not possible [for me].

Third - while this may sound childish, some of us are more likely to do things that we are asked not to do .. especially when commanded.. and here while Khushi's behavior tat-amounts to being childish, it is still plausible to me...

I liked your post.. it made me question and revisit the chapter.. so I post my response.. This is in no way challenging your opinion.. just sharing mine.. :)

when I first read the comment of segad, the answer which immediately came to my mind was khushi can be a curious person / or being childish in nature (doing what we are told not to do, especially after considering the past they have shared and the role of arnav in breaking what was blooming in her heart) but I didn't want to express my thoughts out and enter into any sort of argument in the thread -
though I don't find any situation being forced into the plot, I respect individual opinion and hence refrain from commenting

Curiosity is good in a researcher but at the same time a shark researcher does not jump into a tank full of sharks without adequate preparation and protection. Here Khushi is NOT the expert in the forest, Arnav is. If he asked her to stay where she was, she should have. I don't agree with the "childish" explanation because she is a fully grown, well trained mature woman. The instinct for self preservation also should have kept her in her seat

Mirabell, and Arjuhisis, thank you for understanding Khushi's actions, analysing them and putting them so beautifully. Needless to say, your support and encouragement means a lot to us.

Mirabell, your points were spot on. I would say, Khushi is definitely the curious kind.
Arjuhisis, always feel free to express your opinion :) Thanks!

🤗

This is a work of fiction!
.
When I read fiction I don't look for authenticity.
If I want authentic realistic stuff I'll read non fiction.
And in real life how many times do we do wht we should?
We are not perfect, only human!

Disha congratulations on your debut as a writer.
The ambience you created with your writing definitely lived up to the song. Their awareness of each other was palpable.
I liked how you said 'wildest aspiration' instead of the usual 'dreams'. Its what he wants to achieve as opposed to hopes to achieve.
Hope your 'probably last' statement doesn't hold true!

Disha, that was an awesome update... Looks like you have found your new calling in life... :)
I thought you would give us some more ahem, ahem! 😉 Chal koi nahin, but you defo cranked up the heat by several notches... Phew! Bahut garmi hai... ;)
Poor Khushi, this blow hot, blow cold Arnav is certainly driving her crazy, & me too... 😉

Now that he has a firm job, ab kya pirablem hai bande ko?? Ya abhi bhi dad ke saath ladai chal rahi hai?? Anyways, methinks he needs to bare his soul to Khushi why he apparently dumped her previously, his fears & uncertainty about life, I am sure she won't hold it against him then...

Waiting to see which author turns this angst ridden kahani into jungle mein mangal...

Jungle mein mor nacha, kisi ne na dekha...
Maine dekha, maine dekha, maine dekha... 😆
